Gabris Landscaping was founded in January of 2007 as a result of the ice storm that left Springfield, MO in shambles. Owner Jeff Gabris, with the help of his brother Jeremy started the business as a partnership. Both were students at Missouri State University (MSU). Jeremy was finishing his last semester with a double major in real estate and finance.

Jeff was just beginning his degree in entrepreneurship. When MSU called school off for a week, the brothers decided to make the most of their time off. They bought a trailer to pull with Jeremy's Ford Explorer and began hauling off tree debris for neighbors and friends.
