We started Slater Lawn in 1976 with the maintenance on residential lawns and grew while also working for Safeway Distribution in Garland. In 1978 we added hydro-mulching and registered the name with the City of Dallas. The adding of irrigation and landscaping in 1978 caused the business to expand, and in 1980 we had to stop working with Safeway and go full time "Slater Lawn & Garden" because of the growth.

We opened Slater Lawn & Garden on Main Street in Rowlett in 1992 and have been growing and serving the area ever since.
