Our services include but are not limited to: retaining walls, patios and walks, foundation plantings, sodding and seeding, drainage work (grading, tiling, and trenching), and irrigation maintenance.

Pruning

Pruning is an essential part of good health care for trees and other plants. Pruning discourages diseases, pest infestations, and storm damage. It also enhances the appearance of your trees and promotes proper growing characteristics. Dan's follows the ANSI and International Society of Arboriculture when pruning and maintaining your trees.

Mowing

For a healthy, beautiful lawn, Dan's recommends core aeration in spring or fall. Aerating a lawn involves removing small cores of soil and grass to allow air, water, and nutrients into the root zone. If you have a high-traffic lawn that becomes compacted from foot traffic, children playing and pets, contact Dan's to schedule coring.

Weed Control

The fertilizer/weed control program we developed is formulated for Iowa's local weather conditions. A complete program includes 4 applications of quality granulated fertilizers combined with 2 spray applications of post-emergent herbicides. Our licensed applicators only use herbicides as needed- spot spraying weeds rather than spraying entire lawn.
