In 1957 Fred Lauten proudly founded Total Air & Heat Co. to provide top-quality air conditioning and heating service to local homes and businesses. The company is a rapidly growing multimillion dollar business. In 1999 Fred retired, and his son Steve has taken this family-owned company into the new millennium with style.

Today, Total Air & Heat employs 25 professionals and maintains a fleet of 15 vehicles to serve its family of customers. Total Air & Heat employs highly skilled technicians, who have attended trade schools to learn "Proper" installation and repair techniques. In addition, the technicians are required to attend a minimum of two manufacturers' training schools each year, thus keeping their skills on the leading edge of technology.
