ToMakNew Remodeling A kitchen renovation is one of the top home improvements you can make, returning 68.9 percent for a major kitchen remodeling investment and 75.4 percent for a minor facelift. More than just a space for meal preparation, kitchens have become the heart and soul of a home. Bathrooms are used frequently and have to stand up to humidity without wilting, molding, or starting to rot.

You don't want your guests eyeballing cheap materials and sloppy craftsmanship every time they visit -- and you don't want to see it, either -- which is why you just don't want to go cheap on bathroom remodeling. Remodeling Magazine estimates the average cost of a bathroom remodel comes in at under $16,000.

Where do we begin to express our joy about our beautiful floor installed by Mr. Estes? Not only does it add value to our property, it's also a great topic of discussion as our visitors are extremely impressed by the fantastic job our contractor did. I would highly recommend Mr. Estes.

Tom has been working for me, installing tile, building the structure required for tile, handling the plumbing necessary to completely remodel my master bathroom which included removing the old fiberglass tub and hauling off it and the debris occasioned by the removal. I have commented to him when he arrives punctually at the appointed time that he is very dependable.

Tom Estes and his crew recently did some work at my home. They were friendly and answered all my questions. They installed flooring that required some precision cuts because of the angle of the flooring in the room. They put down underlay, knew how to install under a door frame and finish with quarter round. They also painted a couple of rooms and were very attentive to detail.

I have worked with Tom Estes for the past 3 years. He has helped me multiple times with repairs and maintenance issues. He has always been accurate in trouble shooting issues that come up and never disappointed in the results. Tom has always been there when I have needed him the most and does his utmost to accommodate the urgency of the issues that come up.

I have read Mr. Estes response to my review of his work & attitude. As I predicted, he responds with a long list of excuses about why the mistakes he made are my fault. This attitude is consistent with the experience I had in working with him. I will not waste anymore of my time warning folks about the poor work this man does. I'm glad that I made sure to have all of our transactions documented in emails. Just know, you have been forewarned

I hired Tom to completely revamp my mail bathroom. Every drain had to move, etc. He installed heating under the tile and did a custom tile job that is like no other tile I've ever seen. It's showroom worthy! Tom was timely and my bathroom is fantastic. I would recommend him for any work.

We hired Tom Estes, (Tomakenew), to do some remodeling on our home in Buda. Tom was very professional, offered good suggestions and gave a very reasonable estimate for the job. He arrived when he said he would and the job was completed in a timely manner. Any time something came up during the work Tom would explain our options and tell us what to expect regarding outcomes and costs.

ToMakNew in Austin, TX has some expert remodelers and handymen who are the keystones of providing quality remodeling and handy work. They work from drain to kitchen more perfectly and credibly. They don't hesitate a little bit to work even in the drain professionally and friendly. Staffs are hard working and self motivated. Carry on with the same service with same ego.

I used Tom and Tomaknew for a complete master bathroom remodel. Our approx. 9'x8' bathroom was a three week project that required a total gutting and re-worked plumbing. The remodel gave us new everything: paint, tile floors, tiled shower, custom built vanity with stone counter top, custom built storage cabinet, dual flush toilet, mirrors, vanity lighting, baseboards, sink faucets, shower hardware, bath hardware, and a new window.

We converted our 3'x3' framed/glass walk-in shower and adjacent tub into a 5'x3' frame-less/glass walk-in shower and tiled area to dry off. We also extended our floor tile into the master closet. Our bath window was originally glass block. It was replaced with a smaller sliding window and new siding on the outside wall. Tom was accurate about the project timing, he told me it would take 3 weeks and it did.

I was kept informed of every step of the process. He also gave his advice on design. I had originally picked out tile (marble) that could cost me extra to install and accent tile that didn't match. He returned items I didn't want and bought replacements. The budget for the remodel was competitive/comparable. His suggestions for other vendors (vanity counter top, cabinets, shower glass) were spot on and easy to work with. He even threw in a little extra cleaning at the end. We love our new bathroom and will call him in the future for our next remodel needs.

One day I found the carpet in my dining room soaked. I immediately thought it was a busted pipe, and feared that the cost of fixing it would run in the thousands. I immediately called Tom, who's done two other plumbing jobs for me at a great price and quality. On very short notice, he sent me Scotty, one of his master plumbers. Scotty almost immediately diagnosed the problem - the water connection in the back of my fridge was loose and probably had been for years, and was causing water to leak under the floor into the nearby dining room carpet.

So instead of paying $5000 or some ridiculous amount like I feared, I ended up paying $75. I was totally convinced my problem was pipe-related since I've had problems in my house before with busted pipes. But instead of leading me on and taking advantage of me, Scotty did the right thing and fixed my problem at minimum cost.
