The Nashville Handyman

Do NOT use this company. I'm convinced that their reviews are fake. We are reporting them to the better business bureau. They charged us 80/hr and set the time for two hours. The handyman shows up at 8:35 am. Proceeded to ask me where everything was going for over thirty minutes only to tell me how difficult everything was and that he couldn't do everything. Great-I just wanted him to get started as the clock was winding down.

The paintings that were hung were NOT difficult installments by any stretch. He takes ten minutes for each painting and 15 minutes for a "more complicated" piece we wanted hung. At 10:15 he says he's done. In my head I'm thinking what? You're time is 1030? He hung THREE pieces in what we paid for TWO hours. He arrived five minutes late and left 15 early. 20 minutes of work left.

After he left, I realized that two of the things hung were crooked! He drilled holes into our walls and just slapped the paintings on there. Upset, I decided to just call the company afterwards to no avail. They didn't call me back until Monday because they were out of town the day the technician was at my home. Fair. They told me they would find a technician to come out. Haven't heard from them since. Beware. We are so upset.

Malcolm did an excellent job of replacing a vinyl screen door. He was thorough and thoughtful when he came upon a slight glitch in the replacement. He is also very pleasant and personable. I would hire him anytime! Service: Home maintenance & repairs

I cannot recommend this company enough. Malcolm came by to install some light fixtures and do some other odds and ends. Not only did he do a fantastic job but he was also happy to answer my many questions. He was incredibly knowledgeable and kind and I would be happy to have him in my home again.

This is my second time using the The Nashville Handyman and I can't say enough good things about them. Rob was absolutely WONDERFUL! I have been through a handful of handymen in nashville so far and Rob with The Nashville Handyman was by far the quickest, most professional, efficient, and friendly of the people I have had to my home! He wasn't just one time, he was early to the job and able to complete all of the tasks quickly and easily. I cannot recommend him enough!

Malcom came by yesterday and did a wonderful job repairing the trim in my kitchen and building another shelf in the utility room. Hack job had left a huge gaps separating and cracking between my trim and the ceiling. He handled the project w/ absolute care and walked me through exactly what he was going to do before he started. very pleased with how it turned out!

Malcolm is the best! He came and investigated the issue we had with our bathtub faucet and offered the solution to correct the situation with estimate. He came back when we were able to schedule and he was awesome; friendly, professional, thorough, and fast. We would absolutely ask him to come back for any future repairs in the house and would definitely recommend him to any and everyone that needs any handyman repairs.

Malcolm did a great job tackling the extensive repairs on my water-damaged window sills. He also sealed an exterior window. Dalton and Dillon came yesterday to finish some various projects around my house (installing a bathroom vanity, hanging bi-folding closet doors, fixing some light socket covers, rehanging some doors, etc.) Both were WONDERFUL! They worked super efficiently, were very friendly, cleaned up after themselves, and did a wonderful job! I would definitely recommend them personally and The Nashville Handyman as a company.

We had been trying for months to find a reliable handyman to do a long list of minor repairs to various parts of our house. After the third guy who had been recommended to us by friends flaked on us, I contacted Nashville Handyman. They promptly replied and set up a day to do the work. Buddy was right on time, walked through with me all of our projects, and said he thought he could get all of them done in 4 hours - including the time it would take to buy a few items from a hardware store. I was a bit surprised - but he was right. He did a great job and I was thrilled to have all of my "honey do" projects finally done. I would definitely use them again.

We are in the middle of a small bathroom remodel with lots of issues. Chad won't return our calls.

Hired them to install 2 fans - the guy that came out decided he didnt need to look at the instructions and took forever on the first one nailed the second one with instructions - fast forward a few months and the one he did on his own - lights blew scared the bejesus outta me - long story short Ive been without a light in my office since well before the holidays. have now hired someone else to help me figure out the issue and get it fixed. I am tired of working in the dark, being "dropped" and not having my calls returned

Had Nashville Handyman install some storage shelving in an upstairs room and backslash tile in our kitchen. Malcom did a nice job on storage shelving, it looked great. The issue came with the tile backsplash. They sent a different guy every day to do this job, and it took about 5 days total. Tiles were installed crooked and uneven, cut pieces were jagged and chipped, and the seams from the wall to the tiled area were messy and poorly thought out.

They came back to fix the issues and made things even worse. The whole time the guys would say "caulking will fix that at the end", then they came back and put loads of caulk over every transition, making it look even worse. One of their guys even used caulk instead of grout while attempting to fix some of the issues. Reached out to Chad several times throughout the process. Usually got one word responses, he never came out himself to see if it was done well, and never responded to the last email when we told him it was done poorly.

We had some shingles fly off in a storm. Nashville Handyman put us on their schedule in a very timely manner, got the work done well, and sent us an invoice (very professional--not cash under the table). AND, they came out $20 below estimate!

Great company. We have worked with Chad, Malcom, Ryan and Jeremy. Each one of them have been fabulous! Highly recommend.

I'm so glad I found the Nashville Handyman. I cannot say enough good things about Chad! He was prompt, efficient and very reasonable. The quality of work was excellent! He painted two rooms and removed some old wallpaper - both were things that I didn't have time to do. I will definitely refer and use him again.

Chad came by to reseed our yard, do not know whether the bare areas will fill in as it was just done yesterday but he did what he needed to do and was here when he was suppose to be. Though the area treated is very small, the job size did not deter Chad from accepting the job. I am so grateful for this and plan to ask him for additional help very soon.

Chad was very responsive, late at night. I had guests coming the next day and of course, the main bathroom toilet float & flapper stops working. He sent Billy out to fix it before noon the next day. We needed a very large California King Waterbed taken apart and searched long and hard for someone to do this unusual work. Most people we found got mixed reviews, and most did not even reply to our inquiry! Finally we found The Nashville Handyman. After one call I was sure we had found a solution. Chad was quick to give us a quote and responded promptly to my emails.
