NRG Clean Power

I am a NRG solar customer. Recently, I had some concerns and had an excellent experience with one of the Operations Manager, Yariv Broitman. Yariv returned my emails and phone calls immediately and helped resolve my concerns.

NRG really jumped on this and solved the issue in a relatively short time and a very effective manner. That led me to change my rating to four stars. In order to earn five stars, NRG would need to staff up their Support structure and re-engineer their support processes sufficiently enough to respond in that effective manner on a regular basis, not as an exception.

Support was still MIA even though I had reached out multiple times, which exasperated the issue as I felt entirely left alone. I did appreciate the quick and unbureaucratic solution of my issue now. It was really done well.

We were very happy with the process to get Solar panels installed on our home with NRG. The Energy Advisor and Project Supervisor were very knowledgeable and accommodating. Any issues we had were addressed and resolved. I would refer neighbors and friends to this company.

NRG provided me with exactly what my sales person promised. They were professional and responsive throughout the project. They jumped through some extra hoops with the city as we had a poorly installed electrical box from a past project from a sub par electrician. They managed to make the necessary adjustments to satisfy the inspector and we finally passed after 3 attempts. We will use them again if we should ever need, hands down.

Update 5/19: CEO Oren reached out to me on Yelp messaging and he was super responsive. He promised to dig into the problem. Patty from NRG reached out to us over email and acknowledged that issues faced by us are not isolated but they are trying to fix this. She also promised to install the consumption meter to retain a customer even though it was not part of agreement.

Our experience with this new project was completely opposite from the previous one. NRG followed up timely, provided regular updates and had their technicians come to our place to install this without any follow ups from us. This was the experience which we were expecting in the solar project. Thanks Patty/ Tal and Oren for taking care of all of this, much appreciated but please make sure every customer gets this type of top-notch service.

After nearly a year of frustration with a lack of accurate/timely communication, some changes must have happened internally and I have recently been very happy with not only the work but the open and accurate communication surrounding the project. Our battery is now installed and everything is working great. It is *so nice* to know that we will have power during PG&E shutoffs during fire season and that my home (and car!) can be 100% solar powered

NRG has since repaired the walls with touch-up paint and are discussing sending an electrician to correctly repair the poorly implemented broken circuit fix from last year. Upgrading score to reflect the high responsiveness, clear communication and interest in fixing issues.

NRG reached out to me the same day as I posted my experience. The next day the technician was at my door 8am and started the installation of the C T energy meter that was missing. Johnny Aryeh and Sherry was very helpful to make this project moving Thx

Oren (the owner of NRG Clean Power) reached out to ensure that my project got back on track and that all of my issues were addressed. We went over recent supply chain issues which have greatly impacted product availability, and he was very transparent about pricing for different systems components (panels, inverters, etc), giving me the scoop on anticipated performance and technical details which distinguish the various options.

For example - some microinverters are a little bit cheaper, but if they are undersized relative to the actual solar panel, you may see some performance loss through "clipping" on very sunny days. Ultimately, he helped me come up with a system that was the best bang for the buck, and covered all of my solar needs at the lowest possible cost. He even went as far as breaking down his cost structure from equipment costs, permits, and his direct labor costs for installation, helping me understand each and every line item and how they tied back to the big picture.

After a couple of conversations with him, I must say that Oren is a stand-up guy and very easy and fun to talk to. A Master Electrician himself, you can tell that he really cares about running a solid business, keeping his customers and employees happy, and making sure everyone leaves with a good taste in their mouth. In addition to the help selecting and value-engineering my solar installation, he even gave me some good movie tips which was a nice bonus!

This is one of only a handful of times I have worked directly with the owner of a fairly large company on a comparatively small project. This speaks volumes of his commitment to excellent customer service, and making sure that even the "little guy" like me is taken care of, despite my little job being essentially a rounding error in the context of his overall business.

Edit 2- I recommend NRG Clean Power. Getting a solar system installed and up and running is not a quick or easy process. 3 separate entities (the solar company, the power company, and your city inspector) have to coordinate and agree for the project to be completed. I signed a contract with NRG in September 2021, had the panels installed in December 2021, and now in March 2022 the panels are generating power.

A combination of supply chain issues (which everyone is experiencing) and some miscommunications within NRG has at times been frustrating. However, when I voiced my frustrations the project was handed off to a manager and I have been super impressed with the level of service and communication since then. NRG worked with me to make sure the panels generated the power I wanted, aesthetically looked great (the all black panels really blend into our black roof), and gave us a great price.

Thank you NRG Clean Power for delivering us a great final product, and special thank you to Tal for working tirelessly to find us parts that were thousands of miles away and answer the hundreds of probably annoying questions I had throughout the project. Edit 1- After receiving a phone call from NRG Clean Power management I am editing my initial review.

The manager sympathized and apologized for the various delays and miscommunications regarding my project. It seems that the COVID epidemic has led to many problems throughout the solar industry. I appreciated the phone call, the additional information, and especially a gift card which has eased my frustration. I will continue to update this review as we move towards completion next month.

NRG not only has the best prices out of all places I called, but they are efficient, friendly, and professional. Their advisor, Devon Moreland was helpful from the beginning to the end. He even helped me many months later during tax season.

Their team did an excellent job at maintaining our solar panels and checking our roofs for any leaks. They were very detail-oriented and communicative throughout the process! I appreciate how the team utilized high quality materials and equipment for a reasonable price and installed the solar panels while providing great customer service.

I was introduced to nrg through a google search and quickly realized that this company was transparent and was not going to waste my time. I know what panels I wanted and the other inverter equipment they helped me choose. Their pricing was straight forward. Because we opted to have the panels on the ground instead of on our tile roof it made the project significantly more costly.

We found this to be worth the additional expense because it would be easier to maintain and clean our panels and also it would be out of sight which was important for my wife. The project took a bit longer than we expected because of some delays in the city and a material shortage. It took us a lot of back and forth with our building department to get the permits.

We were still able to get up and running in under 4 months. I thank the nrg team for the additional hand holding through this process and our finished product looks great. We will be sending our family members to nrg!

Both the representatives and installers have helped me maintain my solar panels this previous year, and they have also gone the extra mile and helped me check for leaky roofs. I appreciate how they help maintain my solar panels and make sure to assess my roof for any leaks. Customer service was excellent. They are very helpful and knowledgeable people. Sherry Avni was my contact person and always returned my calls and answered all my questions promptly. She has a deep understanding of all aspects of the process and guided me through the project with the utmost professionalism. She is a credit to the company and i have sung her praises to many who have inquired about our solar project.

I am very happy and satisfied with my solar purchase from NRG and particularly the way the process has proceeded smoothly with Sherry as my project coordinator. She's been very present and quickly responsive with all of our interactions. She's also handled two administrative setbacks with poise and efficiency so that we're still on track (even slightly ahead) with our original timeline in spite of them. It was always reassuring to feel like she knew what she was doing even if I felt like I didn't.

NRG has been fantastic ever since we started our project. We had quotes from several companies & NRG beat all of them. Tiffany, Kasey and Ashley at NRG have been an excellent team to partner with on a highly specific solar system design that maximizes production from my roof. The technical approver (Tiffany) really knows her craft, and also has the credibility and connections within NRG to make things happen quickly and correctly -- even when a project goes well outside of the average equipment for a residential install.

I appreciate that the team helped source equipment that was relatively harder to get (high-wattage REC Alpha Pure Black; specifically the 'Pure' panels have been tough to find), and also has been open to working with me on creative layouts that almost 50 panels on my flat roof (just under 20kW DC).

NRG clean power is indeed an amazing company. We evaluated five different companies for the solar installation for our house (including some of the well known ones) and NRG clean power with its service, quality and price came out right on the top. For this project, I worked with Kasey D. for sales and Nicole C. for project co-ordination. Both of them are super knowledgeable on solar, exceptional customer service, kind and very prompt in reply.

I wanted to thank them for all the help they gave. They also answered my weekend texts. Nicole helped me with pre-installation checkup to make sure that my main electrical panel was ready for Solar, HOA approval and turning on the system. The actual installation was less than a day and very smooth. I highly recommend NRG clean power to anyone who is looking to install Solar.

Sherry was great at coordinating everything, the crew was friendly and did great work, and the install went really smoothly. Somewhat unusual for any contractor, Sherry told me what would happen, how long it would take, and what the steps were, and it all happened as described. Great job, loving our new 400 watt solar panels!

To make a long story short, NRG made the decision to go solar much easier. I had a great experience with this company from the initial consultation to the very first time I plugged in my electric car to charge. The prices were very competitive and everyone was very friendly. Special shoutouts to Miranda Stiles, my project manager that kept the project moving.

She was there for me whenever I had questions. she was always thorough with the status updates and explained processes and timelines anytime I needed clarification. The installation was clean and professional. Everyone seemed to really care about the installation as if it was their own. I have already recommended them to friends for their solar project.

I had bids from 6 different companies. The price differences were staggering. I learned a lot. I made sure that our system was producing 115% (110-120% is good) of my current electrical use. I ended up with NRG based on the reviews and the warranties. Also the panel degradation over 25 years was only 7%. Toni and Rodrigo were great to work with. The system install went much faster than expected. The install team were great. I could go on and on but.

I definitely recommend NRG to anyone looking for a good partner to build out a solar system. The whole process took longer than we wanted, but that had more to do with city permitting, issues with faulty inverters. Antoinette and Rodrigo were always following up and helping negotiate/keep the process moving. The bidding and planning process were transparent and even though they came in lower, their customer assistance was definitely more responsive than other companies I dealt with.

A special shoutout to Rodrigo for keeping the project moving forward despite issues outside of his/our control. The system is up and running and they are still available to answer questions quickly. Thank you!

NRG Clean Power installed a 5 KW system, a sub-panel, and a 240-volt outlet for an EV Charging station. The installation went well and it was very quick. They did exactly what I wanted and it looks really good. The panels I got are really good quality with a 25 year warranty. The inverter is great and I absolutely love the app. Hunter Bretting, the sales rep provided excellent advice and was prompt in returning calls.

I wanted to call out how well Sherry Avni, the production manager, coordinated with the homeowner association. They have very strict requirements and with all of the COVID restrictions are difficult to get in contact with. Whenever there was an issue or I had a question, I'd contact her and she would get back to me. Installation went well.

Glad I went with NRG Clean Power. Not only was the price on par with competitors, they had awesome finance options that convinced me to sign with NRG. My project coordinator, Sherry Avni, was challenged to facilitate various engineer questions I had prior to signing. Every question was answered within faster timeframe I had expected. Customer service was nothing shorter than 5 star treatment. Sherry also guided me properly through the process and provided me with heads up of what happens next without even asking.

The solar installers used by NRG also performed excellent. I requested to have all conduit installed in the attic to which the contractors did. Results are clean, appealing, properly installed solar system I'm proud to have installed by NRG. Glad I took the leap of faith.

NRG Clean Energy installs solar cleanly! All conduit ran through the attic for great curbside appeal. Thanks to my project coordinator, Sherry Avni, the whole process was smooth. I always knew what step was next with an estimation how long to expect something to take. All my engineer questions were answered in timely manner (most often on the same day within a few hours). Great customer care, service, installation, price, and most importantly solar financing. Give this company a shot to install your solar. I'm glad I did.

Sherry and the NRG team did an excellent job with our installation. From the outset, the quoting was informative and reassuring, not the pushy sales technique we'd encountered from some of the other providers. NRG's quote wasn't the lowest, but still very competitive and the system was spec'd with premium equipment. No corner cutting here. Overall, we weighed up the cost versus quality, responsiveness, and company reputation to select NRG as our provider.

We weren't disappointed! Sherry did a great job coordinating our installation around our own contractor taking care of some necessary roof repairs. The team showed up at the time and date promised, and set to work quickly and efficiently. The quality of workmanship was first rate and we had no problems at all with the install. The permit and PG&E sign-off process went well with no effort needed from us - all handled by Sherry and the team.

Our installation exceeds our expectations and easily pays for itself. Again, you will find cheaper companies, and you will find more expensive companies, but NRG gave us a top-tier system, high level of professionalism, and a great overall experience. Overall, I would highly recommend speaking to NRG if you're considering a solar installation.

After doing extensive research and getting several quotes, we finally decided to move forward with NRG clean power. We went with the cash purchase option of panasonic panels and enphase microinverters, and what NRG offered in terms of pricing and value can't be beat. We were a bit nervous going into this as you read many horror stories of projects going awry. However, from the get-go, the rep Antoinette Miner has been uber responsive, helpful and willing to work with us on our project.

The project manager Adrian was also very helpful and things moved along very smoothly from the time we signed the contract to completion of our project. There were no added costs from the initial quote they gave us, and that's a relief! The only slight delay we experienced was from the PG&E end to get the final inspection done, but that was not within control of NRG. The overall project took just about 2 months from beginning to end, and we couldn't be happier with the outcome.

After getting quotes and talking a bunch with other solar companies and friends who have installed solar, I opted to get solar put on my roof with NRG Clean Power. I'm really happy I did. Bryan and the company were wonderful the entire way through. Bryan did a great job explaining things well to me throughout the entire process and got the system up and running without a hitch. We got our solar system from Brian Parrot and live in Blue Lake. My wife and I are so happy with our new system and with the entire process. It's a wonderful feeling to not have an electric bill at all each month! We also have been saving lots on gasoline with our charging station for our hybrid. Before, it took all night just to charge it once, and now we can fully charge it in less than an hour.

I'm also very happy that we've lowered our carbon emissions and don't have to feel guilty about having a hot tub, since all of our electricity is green. Brian made the entire process so easy, from his first consultation all the way through the install. The only regret my wife and I have is that we didn't NRG clean power before this and didn't install solar earlier!

We previously had NRG put up panels on our house 5 years ago and when we moved we called back the same company. Daniel was our salesman and he was very informative and he answered all my questions to my satisfaction. We had concerns about having panels near a golf course but he assured nothing will happen and the panels were built very strong to withstand heavy weather.

We like NRG because they were local and used USA made panels. We interviewed a couple solar but did not feel comfortable with them, and we were already impressed with the work before. Installers were professional and very fast efficient. Jake was our coordinator in the beginning and than it was moved to Tiffany. Both coordinators were very prompt and communication was very good. Robert was outstanding and very helpful to us. Worked with our schedule and gave us a full introduction of the new solar system. I am amazed how the technology has improved since our last solar system. No complaints for the solar and we be happy to use again and share with our friends and family.

Daniel was informative, patient and offered us a good deal. Installer installed very quickly. Solar panel as put on the roof in one day. Installer were clean and on time and respected the property. Alexis was my project coordinator and for the most part kept me on the loop for any changes. Robert came out and showed me how to use the system and inspected the solar one last time. Took drone shots of the property so I can show to my friends and family.

Reason I put 4 stars out of 5 is because I am still waiting on my electric bill to see how much I am saving. I would highly recommend this company to anybody who needs solar.

Reece explained our options clearly and the benefits of going solar. He helped us understand the financial deals and what the current implications are with going solar. Reece made the sales process easy and answered all our questions. Installation was seamless, Tiffany kept us up to date. She was very prompt and kept us informed on every step of the process.

Solar panels look 5 out 5 on the house. Tiffany took care of most of the work, the paper work, emails, and city permits, which was a huge plus. Robert came out to give me a walk through on the solar edge inverter along with the app. Showed me what to look for in case something goes wrong, and educating me the safety issues in case of a fire. We had solar with another company at our other house and it was nothing compared to the excellent service NRG provided. Would highly recommend.

Mike Newman was our sales rep, and he was able to explain the system in terms that we can understand. Mike made it very easy and painless to go solar. Mike seems very passionate about his job and I can see by the way he represents the company.Installation was done very quickly. They were able to install the panels in 4 hours. My husband and I really like the way the panels look on the roof. Alexis was our project coordinator and she was prompt.

Should we keep us in the loop through out the solar process. If any changes that needed to be made she would kept us informed. Robert Dinh was our quality control representative, and he came out to inspect our system. Made sure we understand how everything operates. Its nice to know that once the project is completed someone comes out and helps us. Would highly recommend.

Matt was a good salesman. Made the sales process easy going. He could have been a little more knowlegable on my questions but he got the answers for us before we signed the contract. Idan was prompt and knowleagble about what was next for the project. Robert was our quality assurance agent, came to our house in a timely manner to show us how things operate. Gary came out to my house and was able to get me a bundle deal for solar with my roof since it was falling apart. I decided to go with Nrg for the roof and solar because of the professionalism and pricing. I am glad I did! Tiffany was very helpful and did everything fast. Mike and the crew did a beautiful job installing and left my house tidy which is always appreciated. If you ever have any question about the financing Lisa is very thorough and will help answer all your questions.

Installation team was extremely fast, clean, and very polite. Mario and Tiffany were both knowledgeable and handled most of the work to get me approved for the solar. I did not have to verbally deal and see the HOA, which was a huge plus. Any problems that occurred Tiffany and Mario would handle the situation for me. They were very pleasant to work with. Quality control with Robert was outstanding. Helped me out with setting up the monitoring system and explained how the solar operates.

I looked into a few solar companies and NRG was able to give me the best financing. I was able to pay a quarter of my financing a month compared to my electricity bills so our decision to get solar was very easy. The process was lengthy but Sherry made sure too keep me updated which was very refreshing.

NRG did an amazing job for me. Idan Shimony was exceptional in sticking to the timeline outlined in our contract and delivering on that timeline. Additionally, when we needed to rush a few things (through no fault of theirs) in order to meet deadlines, they went above and beyond to make sure we met those deadlines. The system delivered is a high quality system. I have been extremely happy with my system and during these really hot months it has eliminated almost my entire bill. Thanks Idan and NRG!

I was skeptical of going solar and had lots of questions and concerns. Leo was the first person I spoke to about solar power and he was so knowledgeable and great to speak with that I decided NRG was the right choice. Our project was recently completed and I am so glad I went with this company. Each NRG employee I have interacted with has been amazing!
