"Stone restoration" is the process of taking a damaged, dirty, stained or worn stone surface and applying a series of diamond abrasives of varying grit to hone and resurface the stone. Micro honing removes a layer of stone starting at 1/132" to remove damage and can go progressively deeper as is required then preparing a fresh, polishable surface.

Terrazzo
Report
Terrazzo is a special type of stone that is made up of marble chips of differing sizes and colors. It is sometimes held together with a cement base, but in newer applications, it is held together with a resin or epoxy base. See some of our terrazzo restoration projects here. The restoration process for Terrazzo is the same for restoring marble and granite.
Travertine
Report
There are two types of travertine: filled and unfilled. Natural travertine has small holes that run throughout. Filled travertine has been synthetically smoothed out by filling in the holes. Travertine is available in both a honed (matte finish) and a polished finish. These finishes both need to be cared for over time to remove scratches and etches.
