House Ants are only 1/10 inch long and reddish-brown to black in color. They nest both indoors and outdoors in a variety of places. Their homes are usually shallow and found beneath rocks, boards, or walls. House Ants travel in trails during the day and night, eating sweet food. Fire Ants are very aggressive and sting intruding animals and humans repeatedly.

A single is ant is about 1/4 inch long and red in color; a large colony can have up to 250,000. They build mounds that are 1 to 2 feet in width and over a foot high. They eat greasy foods, meats, and sweet materials. Have you seen a shiny black spider that is 1/2 inch long with a red, hourglass shape on the abdomen?
