Alphatec Surveyors is a full service surveying company located in Chesapeake, Virginia. Alphatec was established in 1995 by John Hill, a state certified surveyor with over 43 years of experience in the field servicing Southeast Virginia and the Elizabeth City - Outer Banks regions of North Carolina.

With this length and form of experience comes a distinct familiarity of the topography and unique properties of our region. We find this an advantage we strive to use to our client's benefit. Our extensive surveying experience is combined with a heavy investment in obtaining and becoming proficient with the latest technology in the industry.

A boundary survey is very similar to the purposes of a physical survey in that it also determines the exact size and shape of a piece of property. Specifically in determining the exact location of land ownership lines for the piece of property.

Alta / Acsm

Alphatec Surveyors performs accurate and on-time residential and commercial ALTA/ACSM specified surveys for the purpose of providing mapping data for the issuance of title and/or mortgage insurance. The request, typically from the mortgage company, will specify that an ALTA/ACSM land title survey is required with a listed number of data items to be incorporated in the survey.

Topographic

Our topographic surveys determine the relative boundary and locations of various elevation points on the earth's surface found at construction or mining sites and even buildings. The process involves setting plot points throughout a boundary area using conventional surveying and/or our unmanned aerial system to determine 3D modeling data.

As-built

As-built or as-constructed surveys are performed several times during the course of a construction project to determine if work authorized has been completed according to the same design and dimension specifications set during the planning and actual site construction. As-built surveys are typically requested by lenders to protect their interests.
