Made an appointment with Sue to get an estimate for hardwood floor refinishing for today between 10:30 and 11:30. Waited at home until 12:15 but Walter the estimator did not call or show. Called and texted Sue and she apologized and said he would be available this afternoon on my time schedule. We agreed on 4 pm and she said Walter would call to confirm. Once again, came home early from work for the appointment and no show or call. Texted Sue with no response as well even when I stated I felt it was only fair I review my experience on Yelp since I found them here. Reached out to this company based on the positive reviews here, but wasted a good portion of my day waiting for them to show. Would hate to rely on them to show for the job at this point.

We were a bit hesitant to hire Atlas Flooring for our 1500 feet of hardwood that needed to be sanded, stained, and sealed. Their quote was about 30% less than other companies we compared. But since we're planning on selling our home, and the floors were in bad shape, we decided to give them a try. We needed to move out for 7 days during the process, so headed to Colorado. During that time, San Diego was hit hard by a wind and rain storm.

We had previously had water infiltration under two west facing doors, so we gave Walter a call to see if he could check on them. He came over on both Saturday and Sunday--and did find some minor leakage that he cleaned up. I doubt that many companies would have taken the time to do this for us. Not only was their service great, but the floors look awesome. We had a listing agent come in this week, and without even being prompted, the first thing he said was what great floors we had. The similar comment was made by the appraiser yesterday. Needless to say, it was a great experience working with Walter and Atlas Flooring.

We made the mistake of adopting a feral cat a couple of years ago and he destroyed our 4th bedroom by peeing all over it! We finally peeled up the carpet and pad and discovered wood floors in pretty bad shape. We decided to restore the floors opposed to laying down laminate or more carpet. Atlas flooring came out the day after I called them and gave me an estimate on the tiny room. I got another quote, sight unseen, that was double the quote of Atlas so of course we went with Atlas.

They started the project the following week and were finished in three days. They only worked for a few hours the first day and less than an hour on each consecutive day which was very conducive to my current work from home status. I love the work they did and now I want to do our whole house!

After a disastrous experience with an unnamed flooring flooring contractor we hired Atlas Hardwood Flooring to come to our rescue. Walter assigned their expert installer Nick to correct the damages from the previous company and apply the new floor in our family room. He is a true master with 30+ years of experience! After much research we decided to use a new water based product from Lobo that enhances the natural tones of our existing 30 year old white oak floors.

As this product is new to the market Walter was uneasy with using it. He ultimately agreed to use the new Lobo product. The final outcome is that our white oak floors are beautiful beyond our expectations. It truly did bring out the true colors of this natural white oak hardwood! Kudos to Atlas Flooring, Walter& Nick for their perseverance and professionalism. Alex
