Louisiana Pest Control Services, Inc. opened for business in 1974 as LAPESTCO by Kenneth Gremillion. Kenneth earned a PHD from LSU in biological sciences and was a entomology instructor for 6 years. Ken started the business part time and built the business one customer at a time, eventually leaving the classroom to go into business full time.

His son Bart Gremillion grew up working in the business and became manager in 1995 after attending Southeastern Louisiana University. Bart and his wife Rena are the current owners of the business. The company serves Baton Rouge, Ascension, Zachary, Livingston, and surrounding parishes.
