Defense Pest Control is a locally-owned and family-operated business in Mesa, Arizona established by husband and wife, Ryan and Wendy Michel. Ryan was born and raised in Canada while Wendy joined the U.S. Navy, where they were transferred to South Carolina. During their time there, Ryan was introduced to pest control for the first time and worked for a family-owned franchise of Terminix International.

It was there that Ryan received excellent training and experience in both the pest and termite control industry. Ryan and Wendy eventually moved back to Arizona, where Ryan continued to work for the pest control industry at Safeguard Pest Control as a sales representative.
