WKWW Architects was established in 1956 to design church architecture. The firm has completed over 500 religious commissions in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. We are a full service design firm providing Programming, Master Planning, and Architectural Design including the graphics needed to present your project to church members.

We design all the building types found on a church campus including worship, fellowship, education, recreation, administration, and youth spaces. Projects may been designed in traditional, contemporary, or transitional styles of architecture.

Schematic

Report

Working with information from the Program, Master Plan, and building committee, the architectural floor plans and elevations are designed. Schematic drawings are provided for presentation of the project to the church congregation. Schematic Opinion of Probable Cost is provided.

Architectural

Report

We can assist the church in determining what spaces are needed through Architectural Programming within the building committee, select church representatives, or through the involvement of the entire congregation. The result is an Architectural Program and Programming Opinion of Probable Cost.

Design Development

Report

Architectural, Site/Civil, Structural, Plumbing, Mechanical, and Electrical construction drawings and specifications are provided. Some projects include the addition of Food Service, Audio/Visual, and Church Furniture designs.

Administration

Report

During construction we administer the contract between the church and the general contractor. Periodic site visit observations are made and construction conferences are held. Shop drawing submittals are reviewed and payment applications are certified. Final project review and punch out is provided.

Planning

Report

Master Planning can be provided to assist in determining where the programmed spaces will be located on a new site or existing church campus. Site and parking needs are also incorporated into a colored Master Plan.

Great group of Architects. They designed our sanctuary and we invited them back to design our fellowship and recreation facility. From our initial meeting, they helped us all the way through the entire process. They designed with our input and then continued to help the church through the construction process.
