Erik Blitte founded Tenleytown Painting in 1980. Erik is the third generation of his family to live in the Tenleytown area and attend Wilson High School. His passion for home improvement continues a family tradition. Erik's grandfather was an architect and builder whose work can be seen across Northwest Washington, D.C., and his two uncles continued the family trade with a construction business.

Over 30 years, the business has grown by recommendations and a focus to serving neighborhoods and community. Tenleytown Painting's work has reached thousands of homes, hundreds of businesses, and many community landmarks.

Exteriors

A quality exterior painting job goes beyond a beautiful finish. At Tenleytown Painting, we ensure that all surfaces are in good condition before we seal them with paint or stain. We remove loose paint and repair any flaws in the siding or architectural elements. The homes in our community are defined by details- porches, molding, shutters, columns and more.

Interiors

Tenleytown Painting offers many services for the interior of your home-from a new coat of paint to remodeling. Recently, we were contracted to do a complete interior overhaul of a Georgetown row-house that was destroyed by fire. Our services included structural rebuilding, resurfacing, painting, and much more.

Community Landmarks

Tenleytown Painting works with businesses, schools, churches, embassies, and other community landmarks in our area. Projects have included the interior of the National Cathedral's bell tower, facade work on the Maret School, and interior painting for the PTAs of local D.C. Public Schools.

Tenleytown Painting is professional, local (for me), pleasant, and reliable. They painted my house exterior and did it right, painting the inside of each window sill, caulking every window, scraping, etc. Next I will have them paint the inside! Full review ›
