Shocking! My sister suggested that I use Teague because of the great service she received from them several years ago. The schedulers' were professional and helpful. Michael J. arrived in a reasonable time frame and presented himself in a polite and professional manner. He was very focused but friendly while working on an electrical outlet install.

His work was precise and when completed, it looked as if were original to the house! The other general repairs were simple fixes although I felt bad that it was something a simple "flip of the switch" could have handle. Michael was cool about it and explained each situation in a teaching format that made me feel more informed. Not only will I use Teague Electric for any future work as I remodel my home but I will highly recommend them to my friends and family!

Jonathan Nunez solved a lighting problem in less than and hour for a very low price. Teague scheduled him quickly and he arrived on time. Another company has been trying since before Christmas. We bought a proper fixer upper, not to flip, but as our primary residence. We are new to the KCMO area and when looking for Electricians, we came across Teague via Google search and read through some of the reviews. They were spot on. The team, from office to estimator, electrician to apprentice, were outstanding. We completed a total panel upgrade, meter, rewiring, outlet and switches being swapped out, plus recessed light installation. Quoted as a 2 day job and even with the chaos that an old house can present, the lads who were out on the job were excellent.

A special thank you to Doug, our estimator, and Chris, our lead electrician. Thanks for making our house 1 step close to a home. We've already booked another estimate for work with this group, they are outstanding. We've previously owned a few homes and had to rebuild one after a house fire. we wish could've had Teague on-board for all of those, but we're thankful we have them for this property. 10/10 would recommend.

I had a question about smoke/carbon alarm installation and code. Doug sent me the link to the city code so I could read through it myself to understand along with explaining how charges would be allocated, too. Just all around a great company.

Doing a DIY patio project and hired Teague to install outdoor outlets. They worked with my schedule and provided professional advice on how best to set them up for success. Communication was great the entire time. Two guys came out and were respectful, professional, and performed quality work. I installed the conduit per their recommendations and they took care of the rest! Very pleased overall.

In August, my home was hit by lightning. I could smell burnt wiring. It was HOT outside and my AC didn't work. I called Teague Electric. My home wasn't safe for people to come in and repair things like the AC, TV, refrigerator, garage doors and ceiling fans. Gas and electricity were turned off until I could get a licensed electrician to inspect my home.

Police and firefighters said it wasn't safe for me to stay there either. I told Teague Electric it was urgent. They came that day! Greg was good. He knew what he was doing. Yes, I highly recommend Teague Electric!

We moved into our new/old house on Labor Day of last year and over the past 5 months we have been working on several projects. We are so happy we used Teague for all of the electrical work. Chris and Mike were at our house for about 2 weeks. They had a lot to do to update the electrical in our 100+ year old house! (Look at the photo and check out the 100 yr-old wiring and panel they replaced, cool relic). Chris and Mike were professional and so easy to be around.

They kept our house very clean despite all the tear-up required to update the electrical. And just as importantly, everything was done right, to code, done to the highest standards, and our house is now safely powered. If you are needing electrical work I highly recommend Teague.

I had Teague Electric out today to install a new Tesla Wall Charger. Greg F and his team showed up early, extremely friendly and highly knowledgeable. We had a large remodel project and used Teague Electric. I can't say enough about the guys that worked on my project. They were very knowledgable and professional and very kind. I was blown away by the level of detail and effort they put in to make everything perfect. Amazed at how they added lights and changed fixtures with so little damage to anything else.

I anticipated a lot of sheetrock work to repair the areas I was changing. They were able to change everything with minimal touch ups needed. The team at my house was Jeremy Allen, Shawn, Michael and Tyler. I will not call anyone else for any future jobs! It was a true pleasure to work with them!

I had a bad experience with the company. One of their younger employees did not know exactly what he was dealing with on a job site I had been working on for more than 30 years. They made statements that were simply not true and the company was either not considerate at all to the situation or oblivious in the proper handling of it. It cost me a long time customer.

Just call Teague. I made the mistake of hiring an electrician from home advisor and he ruined everything he touched. Finally got smart and called the pros. Teague has the knowledge and professionalism to do the job right the first time. Everyone I have dealt with was pleasant and quick to help me without talking down. Teague is a class act. Save yourself the hassle and call the Kansas City pros first.

They have done an excellent job years ago installing our security alarm and their monitoring station has always been extremely quick in their response time when it was set off. Their staff was always courteous, polite, and professional. The pricing for services rendered was on par with market rates or even below. Definitely worth the decision to pick them for our elections. Always on time as well.

On a Saturday over the Christmas holidays, we had an electrical fire caused by our internet provider drilling into our living room wall and cutting our main power line while attempting to install fiber optic cable! After putting out the fire, the fire department captain said we'd need a licensed electrician to repair the damage to our electrical system.

After a half dozen calls, I still hadn't found an electrician willing to work on the weekend! Finally, one of the companies I called actually suggested I call one of their competitors, Teague Electric! Brett Young was the licensed electrician "on call" that weekend, and he was willing to be at our house in less than an hour! Thanks Teague I'm enjoying my infrared sauna every day. We bought a sauna to help with the cold, dark damp Kansas winter. At least this year. It called for a dedicated electric line. After looking at our 30 year old fuse box with wires going everywhere. And a little disagreement with who should do this? We went with a professional. We couldn't be happier with the results. They came out and fixed a GFI outlet that was blowing and fixed my garage door lights that weren't working. They were gone in under an hour. Everything is fixed. Great price. I wouldn't call another electrician ever again.

We have worked with a number of electrical companies over the years and you and the staff at Teague are among the best. We met Don with Teague Electric on the building site for our new home. He was on time, well-prepared and already knew the house plan very well. We could tell that he had already been through the plans and house to discuss placement of outlets, canned lights and fixtures. Offering many helpful suggestions, explaining well and asking helpful questions were greatly appreciated. Don was very professional and helpful. We felt that we were being taken care of very well!

Great service. I got a same day appointment for something that wasn't an emergency. The electrician was very nice and polite. He explained what the problem was in detail and was quick to fix it. I thought the charges were well in line with the professional quality of work received. I plan to have some additional outlets installed in the future and this is the company I plan to have do it.

Our extensive house remodel was a combination of new construction and renovation. I entered this project with past experiences of electricians cutting corners. However, Teague's planning and on-site work was thorough and professional. It quickly became apparent that Teague does not cut corners or deliver anything less than a totally professional job. We had some electrical work done in our basement by Teague. They came highly recommended by our handyman whom we have a great deal of trust in and indeed, I think they did a good job on the electrical work they did. Their prices are a bit high compared to other quotes we got, but if you're looking for quality work, then rock-bottom prices may not be your goal anyway.

There are two things that bring Teague down to a 3-star review. First, they damaged our newly installed and painted drywall when they installed one of the outlets. It's not super-noticeable and they were honest about it, but they didn't knock the price down even though we will have to do repairs (or pay our handyman to do it). Second, to add insult to injury, after writing a check for the full amount requested at the time service was rendered, I received a phone call today from a woman who stated in an accusatory tone, "You shorted us on the invoice." WTF?

I paid what I was asked to pay at the time. So I told her to send me a bill and that I'd pay it, but being accused of trying to cheat Teague was not a part of the customer service relationship I had bargained for. Not even sure why she would think such a thing. She later called me back and told me it was their mistake and I had paid the correct amount.

She did apologize after I told her I didn't appreciate her accusatory tone on the prior call, but really, the damage is done at this point. I'm not going to wait for a 3rd strike with Teague. The remainder of the work we need to have done will be done by a competitor. I wouldn't tell anyone to not use Teague because I do think their electrical work is good, but just keep in mind that the customer service experience might not be as pleasant as it should be. Note: As an update, following this review, I received an email from Jimmy England at Teague apologizing for the mistake and offering a free service call the next time they come (they add in about fifty bucks at each visit just for showing up which is a common practice).

The few bucks I would save will not make a difference for me. The damage is done and I prefer working with a company that treats me respectfully. We are now using MVP for our electrical needs.

I contracted Teague Electric to do some electrical work in my home. They had the best quote of all the people that came by and their technicians performed the work on time and within the original quote. Jimmy England and his team are the best and I plan on using them for my future electrical needs.

There are a lot of services out there that require us to act in faith because, let's face it, our ignorance makes us vulnerable. So when we find an honest plumber, auto mechanic, contractor, etc., I think it's important to announce it rather loudly. Teague is definitely that company. They showed up on time (no 2-hour window), gave a good assessment of what needed to be done, gave me results that exceeded my expectations, and were very reasonably priced.

I had them install an outdoor ceiling fan on my front porch, and an extra electrical outlet near my landscaping to use for a fountain and/or christmas lights. With the fan, he reinforced it with a joist so I can practically hang from it and took great care to position it so that not only does it provide great air flow, but looks really good from the curb.

The outlet has it's own breaker switch and face plate with a hole for the electrical cord so nothing can get exposed to the elements. I'm just thrilled because not only were these things done exactly as I wanted, but I think they actually have added value to my house.
