Sunset Fence did an amazing job replacing our old, damaged wood fence with a sturdy block fence and beautiful gates (I've received many compliments on the quality and look of the gates). Bob was knowledgeable, practical, helpful, and responsive. He went above and beyond to assist with obtaining my neighbor's approval, and was extremely helpful with navigating the City of Scottsdale's requirements. I couldn't be happier with the process and finished product. I highly recommend Bob and Sunset Fence.

We rented out our home after having to move out of state and then had to seek someone over the phone/internet to repair the block wall at the rental home. If you've ever tried it, you know it's difficult to find someone from afar to provide an accurate estimate, then do QUALITY work. We feel so fortunate that Sunset Fence did this for us.

My neighbor and I split the cost of replacing the wooden fence between our yards with block. This was a large job, as in total I believe 4 separate homes were involved. Jim was our project manager (for lack of proper title) and did a great job communicating and keeping me informed throughout the project. They showed up on time and go to work right away.

These guys know how to get things done! Demo, haul away, and almost my entire wall was up in just 2 days! The crew were friendly and focused and did a solid job. Further, Ruben identified an issue with the leveling performed the prior day, which meant he & his team had to do about 4 hours of re-leveling and cutting blocks in order to rectify it. The integrity he displayed is sadly lacking in far too many people, but not this man.

He easily could have pretended not to notice. I may have never known, but he did the right thing when nobody was looking, and should be highly commended for that. I only even know about this, because I saw them doing the work over and asked him about it. One of my sprinkler lines was busted during their prep work, which was my fault b/c I had no idea it had been run diagonally, and by the next day when I showed my yard guru what needed to be fixed, I discovered it had already been repaired.

I asked Jim about it and indeed, it was him. Outside the scope of his job, but another example of going the extra mile. While they've still a bit left to do, I'm beyond pleased thus far and would recommend this family owned and run business to anyone who asked me for a referral. Oh, and Amy in the office was great to work with as well.

They did a fantastic job on our privacy wall! They were very knowledgeable and so patient with us while we worked with our HOA for approval. Kudos to the guys who did the hard labor, especially in the extremely hot weather! Price was reasonable too. Would recommend this company to anyone!

Great customer service from Amy in the office and Jim overseeing the project in the field. They finished ahead of schedule, within $40 of the estimate, and did a great job. I would definitely use them again.

It is refreshing to work with professionals such as the owners of Sunset Fence. The entire process went flawlessly. Every appointment was on time and all the workmanship exceeded our expectations. They built over 400 feet of block wall in 4 days. Just like they said they would. 1st day is footing only so they really built the wall in 3 days. The employees were very hard-working and always on time and always respectful.

The cleanup was thorough. The quote process was easy, detailed and accurate. I highly recommend this company for any masonry work. It would be hard to find better customer service than Sunset Fence provides.

Hired them in 2016 and my fence is perfect. They did such an amazing job my neighbors ask all the time, who did it? I always smile and share. These folks know their stuff and their work is top notch.

We hired Sunset Fence to build approx. 350' of fence. They did a good job except on a sloping area. I contacted the owner to discuss the concerns that we had because of the massive gap that they left along the slope. He scheduled a meeting to go over, but he never showed up. Contacted him several times after, but never received a call back. DO NOT pay full contract price until you have had time to look at the workmanship and make sure that he fixes your issues. It is unfortunate that he has no follow through.the job was over $8,500 so he should have been willing to come back out to make it right.

Just moved to a new house in STV. I looked online for block wall companies and reached out to a few for estimates. Jim from Sunset Fence reached out to confirm details and sent me over an estimate. The price was fair compared to the competitors, but the level of professionalism and communication was a level above the rest. They handled almost every aspect of the job including contacting blue stake to confirm where they were going to dig the footers.

They even helped refer me to a landscape company who needed to remove some plants prior to the wall going up. We are super happy with the finished product and would highly recommend them for wall and gate products. Thank you Jim & Amy!

This is THE place to work with! Amy was kind and committed to my concerns. I was worried my wall was weak and that it would fall and hurt someone. She went out of her way to help me understand masonry and my situation. We ended up not needing any work done and they didn't charge me a dime. (They said my wall was good for at least another 6 years). It seams like a small thing, it whenever someone like Amy does her job with that level of professionalism, it truly lightens my day.

I'm impressed just by the help I received over the phone. The young lady(I apologize I didn't get your name) who helped me was able to answer a lot of my questions even before I asked. Not the cheapest, just the best. Highly professional from start to finish. We had an unusual situation - a 50-year-old redwood fence overgrown with literally tons of cat's claw vines. The overgrowth was about 12 feet high and 8 feet thick along the 90 food length of our back yard. This isn't the kind of demo Sunset usually has to do, but they quickly arranged for another contractor with a backhoe and large truck to haul the cat's claw away in just two hours! All in all, a great experience, and the fence they put up - in just one day! - is beautiful.

Amy and Jim were delightful to work with. They were very knowledgeable and always happy to answer all of our questions and we had a lot. They gave us unbiased feedback as we sought to get a permit. They completed the actual work within the timeframe they gave us, and it was amazing. We absolutely love our block wall and we will continue to do work with this local family business in the future. We have used Sunset Fence for many years and they never disappoint! Abe and his skilled team of craftsmen do a wonderful job. They just built a new deck for us and it is really well built and solid. It looks amazing too. We couldn't be happier! They are always in demand so you may have to wait for your turn to come but it is totally worth it! I highly recommend Sunset Fence!

WOW! We are about 3/4 finished with a redo of fencing on our property! WOW it is so beautiful! We have 3 different fences! 8' fencing on the side of our property that butts up to an apartment complex. The newly constructed Sunset fence is beautiful, and sturdy! As Abe has stated this will be our forever fence! We decided for Red Cedar fence, horizontally run in the front of the property where more people will see it as they enter the property.

We haven't gotten to that yet but I am sure it is going to be amazing. And on the west side of our property we are fixing and matching black chain link fence. We needed some gate repairs and a new gate installed to work with the new dock wall. Again all I can say is we are more than happy with Sunset and the professional team of workers. Thank you Abe, Kenny, Josh and Joe! We are so pleased and can't wait to see the finished product!

Similar to Ed H. review. I called to inquire about their services and although I haven't yet booked, the lady that helped me was very gracious. She quickly google earthed my address and measured my front wall to give a general estimate. She provided solutions they offered as well as some considerations that they didn't offer. She also provided some recommendations and gave me an honest answer in regards to how booked they are.

To me, it's always the small things and she provided her time and skill to help me get an idea of what I could expect. They will definitely be in the consideration for the project if my wife can wait till they have time to start the job. Thank you for your sincere help!

We had Bob, from Sunset Fence, come out to evaluate the damage to our block fence. Our fence is cracked horizontally, vertically and stair-step. In addition, it is bowed, inward--but, is not in danger of falling. Bob wrote a professional assessment that we have no water damage or trees that would create this damage. He concluded the rebar had suffered corrosion, footings had failed and tree roots (we have no trees) contributed to the damage.

His assessment, in conjunction with a arborist experts report, will prove beneficial to us, in the future. We back to a common area retention basin with huge mesquites and have neighbors with citrus planted close to our wall. We water our grass, on a regular basis, and mesquite and citrus are known to seek water. The common area water is turned off, as was our neighbor's irrigation. We'll see what happens, though we plan on spending about $1000 to repair our fence, ourselves.

Have called the store and the cell phone number over a dozen times, left multiple messages for a call back. This business is unresponsive. Apparently doesn't want my business.

Sunset Fence just finished our 120 feet of block wall. They arrived when promised and finished on time (a bit early). The quality was clear, and everything was done to code and plans. They even helped obtain the permit. In terms of price, they were in the middle of our bids but with quality consistent with our higher bids. They also fixed a small loose brick as a courtesy, outside the original scope. I was very impressed and I would use them again without hesitation.

Unfortunately this service provider does not mind wasting your time. I scheduled this company for two specific days to complete a job because I needed to be present for the work. After I had scheduled vacation days with my work, which I communicated to this service provider in advance, they blew off the fact that they were supposed to be here on the first day scheduled.

They decided to try to fit in another job that morning. They managed to drop off some building material at 5:15pm and then went home. On the second day, the day they were scheduled to complete the job, they informed me that they had scheduled yet *another* customer before my job. I really don't like to leave bad reviews for companies. Everyone makes mistakes. But what they did was completely preventable. It seems that they choose to do business in a way that does not respect peoples' time.

I have never been more pleased and happy to have dealt with Sunset Fence. The crews were professional, courteous, clean, understand to my needs and very efficient. They are the example of how a professional company should be, and how to follow through. I am extremely happy with the new wall and service I received from Sunset Fence.

I put in a request on the Sunset Fence website for a free quote. A day later I receive and email from a sales guy saying they can provide an "On-Site" consultation for $65 (applicable towards work done by Sunset Fence). In disbelief I write back to the sales guy asking why there's a fee for a free quote. Never received a reply. Won't do business with this place.

Excellent work. Said it would take 2 days, it took 1 1/2 days to do our 100ft of block wall. Great work, cleaned up well. I checked out several places, asks for bids. They were the most expensive, but were the most reliable as well. Use a licensed contractor, you'll be thankful. We are very happy.

We can't say enough about our Sunset Fence. My first house has the same fence still standing since 1989. Our new fence is 2 years old, and is looks brand new. You cannot beat the quality. Their slogan is absolutely true - you can Expect the Best! Thank you Abe!

I had an old wooden fence along my back yard and part of another side, Bob helped engineering the work that needed to be done and came up with multiple suggestions, he professionally worked with my concerns and answered my questions. Bob went above and beyond to do a nice job including moving my stuck to the ground shed out of the way so we have a nice even height fence.

Awesome Work and Amazing Customer Service. I have used them twice over the past 10 years. The first time was to enclose a portion of my yard and stucco my walls. They came out right away and the job was done quickly. The second time our wall on the other side of the house was hit by a car and took out 1/2 of my wall on the east side of my house. The car also took out a huge section of my neighbors wall too!.

I used Sunset Fence and my neighbor used some schmuck from Craig List. WELL. My wall was up and finished in about 3-4 days. My neighbor's wall took 3 WEEKS! AND his bill was only $150 less than Mine! I'm in Real Estate so I always refer them to my customers. If you have to get block work, stone, or stucco they are the best!
