Heat Pumps

Because Heat Pumps provide both heating and cooling, their efficiency is measured with two distinct ratings. While in the cooling mode, heat pumps receive a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio or SEER number. SEER is like gas mileage. The higher the gas mileage of SEER, the more efficient the automobile or system is. Most new heat pumps rate between 13.0 and 19.0 SEER.

We really got our money's worth!Specialty Heating was very professional and did an A+ job on retrofitting our 1948 house from oil to a natural gas/air conditioning/ air filter system. I've been having problems with my Carrier Heat Pump for the past few years and the compressor was replaced in 2013. It stopped working again in November 2015. The thermostat shut off and the system was not operable.

It's been 9 months since we had the work down and everything works perfectly.Specialty Heating & Cooling did a fantastic job re-routing all of the ductwork in my home. Previous owners had routed the duct work above a drop ceiling and fed the upstairs through floor vents.
