Because I had to takeoff of work to be here, it cost me several hundred dollars. He even sent a follow up reminder the day after I made the appointment saying that we will see you at 10 o'clock. When they were already 30 minutes late I called to make sure they were still coming and he literally said, oh my gosh. We booked another appointment. Can we just come out another day? Do not use this service. They are incredibly sloppy and unprofessional. I never even met them and they cost me several hundred dollars in revenue at work.

I made my appointment at least 10 days in advance because I would have to takeoff work to accommodate their hours. They even sent me a text reminder after I made the appointment confirming the time. When they were 30 minutes late for the appointment, I called and asked if they were still coming. They said,” oh my gosh. We made another appointment. Is it OK if we just come on another day?,”They made it sound like it shouldn’t be a big deal. You will be really unhappy if you book an appointment with them. I don’t know what kind of electricians they are, but they certainly don’t care if they show up or not.

Critical: Professionalism Very unprofessional on the phone. Assumed he was called to come fix someone else' s work. Then rudely said he doesn't do any work in Sturtevant and I should have started the conversation with where I live. We are not needing anything for free we are going to pay.

He was very professional, punctual, and did great work! He is also very friendly and easy to work with.

Had a problem with our electric going out and as it turns out it was an easy fix. Talked to Gary who walked me through what I needed to do. They could have easily came out here to do it and charged me but instead the man just talked me through the instructions and our lights were back on. Thank You Gary!

Our house is over 100 years old and has some funky wiring that gave out in half the kitchen on Thanksgiving. After calling a couple electricians the next day and only getting voice mail messages, I connected with Gary who was in the middle of a job but said he might be able to fit our job in before the end of the day. Lucky for us, his previous appointment canceled and even though it was already 4:30p on a Friday when he got to our house, he stayed the 3+ hours needed to identify and fix the issue.

I would highly recommend Gary. He was very knowledgable and didn't give up on a difficult job. He also quoted us a fair price up-front, and then didn't charge the regular over-time fee. Thanks for the great work, Gary!

I called spark electric at 5pm and spoke with Gary. He was very helpful in walking me through on how to trouble shoot my electrical issue since it is December with 4 kids and we had no heat. He said he was driving and couldn't stay on the phone but to call him back in an hour if the issue wasn't resolved. When I called Gary at 6pm he was awesome. He had a few other appointments the next day but promised to fit me in and said he will call me no later than lunch time to let me know when he could help.

The following morning I got a call from Gary at 10am saying he was on his way. He arrived and quickly assessed our situation and gave me a quote for the repairs. He then went above and beyond and fixed an electrical outlet issue and fixed the main line that needed replacing! He also checked the electrical situation for this old house that has spent the last 50 years being neglected and was very knowledgeable and professional.

He was able to tell me what else needs to be fixed and approximately how much that will cost. I was a little nervous because of the other reviews on Google but I really can't say enough good things and I'm glad we called him! And I will definitely be calling Gary with any issues we have in the future!

I'm a DIY'er so I decided to install a ceiling fan over the weekend. Everything was going well until the cloth wiring was so brittle I couldn't tell which wire was "hot" and which was "neutral". So, on a Saturday night around 7pm I called and Gary picked up. He proceeded to walk me through the entire testing process to figure out which wires belonged where. He didn't ask for a dime and I got my power back on and my ceiling fan up. Gary to the rescue! Thanks a bundle!

The technician "Gary" that helped one of our customers that needed some repairs on their meter WILL TRY AND SCAM YOU. I would definitely NOT recommend this technician at all! He charged a 76 year old woman $300 some dollars just to replace a screw and a clip. The parts usually cost about 2 dollars each. He obviously took advantage of her and charged her way more than he should have.

He said the reason it was so expensive was because he had to make some calls to a utility company. Since when does that cost money? The Service call and labor charges came out to be a total of $295.95 and the materials were $10.25. That is honestly so ridiculous. What was he doing? Standing around looking dumb? Obviously he is trying to scam customers which is pathetic.

Not only does he overcharge (probably because he has very few customers.) but he also isn't too pleasant to talk to on the phone. If I were you, I would go ANYWHERE else before I called "Sparks Electric." As a technician. I am embarrassed this guy calls himself one too.

I do not write many reviews on Google, but this guy warrants one because I called based on the good review here. Not only could I not get the guy out to bid on my job, but he wanted every detail before coming out before it was worth his time. It was a $3500 job based on other bids, and while Sparks seemed interested, 2 weeks went by before he could get out to even look at it.

Then when he found time, his GPS could not find the 60 year old address that within 3 months and dozens of contractors found without issue. Then proceeded to ask me to walk thru directions while I was busy at work. Sorry, I do not have time for clueless contractors.

Gary's experience is greatly appreciated when a problem occurs in my old, previously handy man worked on house. He has seen many situations and takes the necessary steps to solve difficult matters in a timely, efficient manner. An honest man, who a number of times suggested not doing a fix when it wasn't needed, or finding a simpler, more economical way to resolve the issue. Finally, when he does a job, he does it right, according to the book. I know my house is a little safer after he completes a job. Also know the inspector will give the thumbs up after Gary completes the task. Completely trustworthy.

Gary is a Pirate that has to remove his business listings every other year because of all the people he rips off. I won't be happy until he is out of business for good.

Very competent electricians - fast, resourceful and effective. Even more impressive is the focus on the residents - the electricians at Sparks clean up after each day's work, re-plaster and re-paint holes that they make in the walls and always take off their dirty shoes.
