Sierra Fence

Expected more. did an okay job with the install, other than they hit and severed the marked internet cable running through my yard, causing needed repairs from my internet provider. Pickets started majorly warping/bending 3 months after installation and huge sections of the fence were pulling away from the posts. Had to follow up repeatedly to get warranty repairs completed, and when they did come out to replace some of the majorly bending areas of the fence, didn't do a great job some of the pickets they replaced were not actually nailed to the fence rails. I've learned now that a little bit more money might've been worth the time, effort, and quality of my fence. Oh well.

Sierra crushed the copper supply line to our house when installing one of the posts. Not sure how they did not know they did that since the pipe was encased in the concrete footing of the post. When we reached out to Richard, he was quick to dismiss the issue by implying there are other ways the pipe could have been damaged and that unless water is going everywhere they wouldn't have know if they hit a water line or a tree root.

They took no responsibility by saying the contract states they aren't liable for anything that is not marked. Save yourself the potential headache and go with another company.

Requested an estimate for repair/ replacement to a damaged metal fence post. I guess the job wasn't big enough since they never replied. Had I liked their work, I would have hired them to install a much larger fence project. Looks like I'll go elsewhere.

Our fence turned out amazing! Richard and his crew did an excellent job from start to finish at an affordable price. We had a horizontal fence installed, as well as a vehicle gate into the back yard. Our lot has a severe left-to-right slope, but Frank was able to see my vision, and Jorge had the expertise to make it happen. We are so pleased with the final product and quality of workmanship. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was bc of the cleanup afterwards.

Frank, Samuel, and the crew built us 260 feet of a six foot horizontal cedar board fence with a cap and two gates (a single and a double). They completed the job in three days. It is beautiful! This is such a professional team -- they showed up on time, worked steadily and hard for long days, and showed such professional expertise, it was stunning.

The technique for building the gates so they are secure was totally cool to watch. We worked hard to be sure that we had cleared the area around the old fence. and when we encountered a few unanticipated adjustments, they responded quickly and gave us time to work out solutions that worked for everyone. When they left, the whole site was beautiful, with all leftover parts and pieces cleaned up perfectly.

We were very impressed. Our immediate neighbors hired them to build their front fences and others are all planning to hire Sierra Fence to build their privacy fences as well. Frank was also professional and informative and always quick to respond to questions and offer sound advice.

The workmanship is top notch, as are the materials used, done in record time and we couldn't be more pleased with the results. I used Sierra Fence last year and loved everything about my experience. I had them do part one of a multi part project. I have been ready to continue with part two for sometime and have texted, called and emailed and have not gotten a response from anyone in months! Super frustrating. I even had a fence emergency where I needed a small portion taken down when my well went out and still received NO reply! So upsetting. I have no idea if they have gone out of business or what. Has anyone else been able to reach them?

The new construction process of our house pushed closing back a few times and Richard was very accommodating on working us into the schedule on the fly so we would have the fence up and running for our dogs right after moving in. Sierra did a great job installing our fence. They had some great suggestions for fence placement and were timely in getting the job done. Knocked it out and got it done for us which is awesome! And their price was very competitive with other installers. I would recommend them to any of my friends!

Working with Richard (who owns the company) was a joy. He did exactly what we planned, at a reasonable price. He showed up right on time every time and answered emails in a timely manner. I had a great experience with Sierra Fence. I had a large wrought iron fence installed around my property. Richard, the owner, was my primary contact and was onsite for a large amount of time supervising the project. The crew installing the fence worked very hard and did a great job cleaning up--they wanted me to be happy. The fence installation was very straight and very well done. The price was competitive/better than other bids I received.

Beyond happy and pleased with the entire experience! Richard is very hands on and actually came out from beginning to end of the project to ensure it all went 100% right! I was so close to going with another company and Richard simply asked that I give him a shot before I signed anything and OMG! I am sooooooo glad I did. Richard found our property line pins from day one (which most companies won't commit to and I get it) and that changed everything for us!

True to his word, three weeks later, the supplies had arrived and his crew worked tirelessly, professionally, with an inordinate amount of attention to detail to complete the job to our specifications. This company is superb in every way. My situation was rather unique because of the type of entryway fence I wanted. The owner, Richard, came out and as we talked, I knew for certain he was the man for the job. He's super knowledgeable and courteous, and he worked with me every step of the way regarding the design and materials. I chose Sierra Fence for my backyard fencing. I couldn't be happier. The crew was beyond awesome. The job was completed in TWO days and looks beautiful! It turned out just the way I imagined it. It's so nice to work with contractors that take pride in what they do.

I can't review based on fence installation because I never even got a quote. I left a VM on 7/10 to request a quote, my call was returned on 7/16 and scheduled it for 7/17. 45 minutes after Hector was scheduled to come, I called and left a VM inquiring on if he was still coming. Never received a call back and he never showed up. I had to rearrange my plans that day so I could be home for him, and I was completely stood up by this company. Better to find out now, rather than hiring them and them not showing up or late for the job.

I just finished a 6 month building project that took 12 months. I have worked with dozens of contractors during that process and been frustrated more than not. Sierra Fence was a bright spot in this journey. They accommodated a quick install to prepare for a birthday party we were hosting and came back out to help lift a gate after the driveway was installed higher than it was supposed to be. The crew worked super hard and it was amazing to see them work. Very gifted at their trade. I HIGHLY recommend these guys.

Hector and Sierra Fence did a solid job. Hector showed up on time and gave me a bid the same day. I got 3 different bids. Sierra and one other company were about the same. A third company was significantly higher. Once I accepted the bid, Hector scheduled me for the very next week. The crew came right at about 8 a.m. and demo-ed the old fence and set the new posts on the first day.

They put up the new fence the following day. I got horizontal cedar pickets for the sections facing the street (for curb appeal) and standard vertical cedar pickets for the other sections (to save a little money). A minor situation arose with an elderly neighbor concerned about property lines, and Hector addressed it very patiently, which was above and beyond his job. All in all: 1) the fence looks good, 2) the price was competitive, 3) they showed up on time.

After getting several bids, we felt that the value, quality and good communication Sierra offered was the best choice to install front facing fencing at our house. They constructed a horizontal cedar privacy fence with metal posts that followed the exact same path as the old fence, with each side containing a gate. Hector, who managed the project, was easy to work with, always answered our questions and addressed any concerns we had before, throughout and after it was complete. His crew was efficient and everything looks fantastic. Would hire them again!

Richard came to the house promptly, measured, and sent me a competitive quote. He helped me troubleshoot some issues with fence placement given some construction on the adjacent property.

Once I got the permit from the city, we picked a date. The crew arrived promptly on both install days. They were courteous and answered all of my questions. They were respectful of my property and time. The install required managing a very steep slope on which the fence needed to run, and the crew handled it without delay. Fence install is very professional and looks great. Very pleased.

I had to design and coordinate construction of a 130 foot run of fence on our Austin property remotely, from the West Coast, as we have relocated. Hector was highly communicative throughout the process, and helped select optimal materials for the challenging design / property line requirements. He swiftly coordinated the construction, and sent photos of the progress along the way. I would never even consider working with another fencing contractor given our delightful experience with this company.

Sierra Fence just finished my cedar bull panel fence and it is gorgeous! WOW! WHO KNEW WHAT A DIFFERENCE a fence could make!?!? Look at the before and after photos. Awesome! I got 3 bids with options.all treated pine, pine post, all cedar, all pine, pine with cedar. Sierra had the best price on all options and the best terms. One company wanted 60% up front to get on their "list". Huh?

I offered 50% start day or delivery of materials, but got a "no". Good grief, it's is a 2 day job! Sierra's terms.due upon completion! No problems whatsoever! Thank you Hector and your awesome crew!

Great quality, great pricing. The project was a lot more involved than I expected, I figured it would be 'easy' to put up some new pickets. But there were jackhammers involved, and lots of digging, and lots of sweat, and once the posts were up I knew we'd hired the right company. The posts were completely straight, totally perfect, not a millimeter out of plumb.
