Services
Cockroaches
Report
Two of the most common species of cockroaches that enter and infest homes in the Carolinas are the German and American (also referred to as water or palmetto bugs). The adult female German cockroach produces an egg capsule with 30 to 48 eggs.
Spiders
Report
Many species of spiders are common household and commercial building inhabitants in the southern United States. Certain common spiders spin webs over outside lights, in corners, crawlspaces, attics, garages and in basements. Under most conditions outdoors, spiders are considered beneficial because they feed on insects.
Mosquitoes
Report
Mosquitos are found from the tropics to the arctic regions. Mosquitos are a nuisance not only because of the bites they inflict but also the diseases they spread. Outdoor events especially at dusk in the summer months in the Carolinas are always at risk of being ruined due to mosquito invasions.
Bedbugs
Report
Bed bugs were virtually eradicated in the United States during the 1940s with the use of chloradane, lindane and DDT. Bed Bugs did however remain commonplace in other areas of the world like parts of Europe, Asia, South and Central America.
Termites
Report
Of nature combined. Termites have one celled organisms in their digestive tracts that help them digest the cellulose in dead wood and other organic materials into humus. As their name implies subterranean termites live below the ground.

Chris is a pro! We heard early-morning noises in a wall and ceiling. Within hours, Chris, ala Sherlock Holmes, inspected the attic and roofline and set up a series of tests in the attic to detect the culprit. Success! We never heard another noise. Chris knows his stuff! We are relieved and completely satisfied customers - and quite a bit smarter now, thanks to his sharing info about creature habits and habitats. Thank you Chris snd pcawildlife!

We had bats in our attic a man came out to my house and gave us a quote we paid $150 just for him to tell us we had bats which we already knew anyway, he said he'd come back the next Friday at night and put a one way up the bats wouldn't be able to get back in. we paid over a $1000 and he never showed I had to call again and get back on the schedule.

Finally someone comes and drills this thing to our roof. And this thing sat there for months I had to call AGAIN to get it removed the owner had no clue we weren't taken care of. So two teenagers come out to take it down our roof is steep and they are afraid so they call someone else he comes and does who knows. Then fast forward to June 2020 less than a year after they "took care of the bats" we are on our deck watching a movie and bats come flying out of the same spot.

So I call the guy who calls me back Monday and sends the same guy out to put a one way up again and guess what it's still there now in March of 2021 almost a whole other year. What a joke don't waste your time.

Unprofessional customer service & treatment, treated unfair and accused. received wrong termite treatment, ruined new floors, never responds back I reached out to Pest Control Authority for termite treatment. I signed the contract for termite in the affected area. The service I signed up and paid for was not what on the contract. The man drilled holes in my floor, spilled the chemicals on my floor, which removed the coloring.

The gentleman who came out to my house seemed very professional. So professional in fact that he gave me two estimates for two different services and the total was close to $7,000. He said there was an adult raccoon in my attic and 4-6 babies. He gave me and my husband an impressive list of clients his company has which includes most of the big buildings in downtown Charlotte.

This is when we thought to ourselves, "Run!" He was also dismissive about mom and pop wildlife exclusion companies during this time in our economy when all those small shops are trying to survive. Anyway, I did call several other companies and the mom and pop I went with charged me less than 10% of the estimate I got from Pest Control Authority. My advice is to shop around and make sure you get a guarantee. UPDATE: In response to owner's comment, he texted me and I did text back saying that I would not change my review and there was no need to talk about it since the work that needed to be done was already done by another company that was fairly priced. Apples to Apples: That raccoon is gone and all the openings are closed.

PCA did a great job. They were able to come out quickly when I wanted to schedule an inspection. They did SUCH a thorough job inspecting my whole house and making recommendations (without being pushy)--one of the name-brand national competitors didn't even step foot inside my house before trying to spray! I signed up for a preventative maintenance plan and JD did a great job with my first one - explaining what to expect and what each step was for. So happy I chose them and get to keep using them!

PCA Is really a great company from top to bottom. We called them 4 years ago with squirrels in the attic. I spoke with the owner and Chris. Both were very knowledgeable and helped to solve the problem quickly and effectively. They were prompt, courteous and took this situation seriously. He always kept us updated on the status of what they found. When Chris proposed a roof line exclusion in 2015, we were a bit skeptical but trusted their judgement and went ahead with the work to prevent this problem in the future.

Fast forward a few years when we heard noises again and immediately called PCA. Chris was going out of town but sent a colleague while he was on vacation. Jeff came out same day since it was going to rain on the scheduled appointment day and didn't find any issues related to the exclusion or squirrel activity. When Chris returned, he came out to double check this and reassured us that the exclusion was intact and all was well.

We truly appreciate the professionalism, knowledge, and response of PCA and Chris in particular. He has a sense of humor and we enjoy talking to him about our pest issues. We have known these guys for several years now and they are truly excellent! HIGHLY RECOMMEND PCA, CHRIS and the whole team!

Great job Pest Control Authority! Great service, professionalism & fair pricing. Had Chris out today to check the house for squirrel damage. He spent 1 1/2 hours combing the place, inside and out at No Charge. We have used them in the past and they have gotten the job done.

I can say that we had a completely positive experience with PCA. We had a raccoon get into our attic, and after several attempts to get rid of it, we called The Pest Control Authority. They came out to explain how they would remove the animal, and put things in place to keep them from getting in again. The owner even came out to take a second look, because this was a very tough job. Justin and John came out to do the work, and went above and beyond what is normally expected. I have never had a contractor take so much pride in the way they do their job.

Mike Seifert and The Pest Control Authority is THE BEST! They have been very reliable and easy to work with! Since moving into our house 1 1/2 years ago we have had an issue with bats and birds in our attic. I called The Pest Control Authority and they came out the same day to evaluate the problem for us! Amazing service! The technicians who come out for our quarterly service as well as the times I call in between scheduled services are always very professional and kind. We will forever be clients of this incredible company and I recommend to all!

We were having an ant problem and had family coming for the weekend. I called at about 5 p.m. on a Friday and the serviceman came that evening on his way home. He treated and the ants were gone the next day.

When it came to paying the bill they would not remove the squirrel trap set fee that they did not set. Said they had to do extra work but the extra work he said he did was already quoted in the estimate.

Tell Mike thank you so much for treating my parents' house. My dad complimented Mike on his professionalism and what a great guy he was. My dad is a man of few words and to hear him say those things was out of character for him. Lately I have become very sensitive when it comes to my parents and it just makes me feel good when people treat them well.

The service was wonderful. I contacted several other pest control companies and just due to the phone conversation they were not offered my business. PCA was extremely professional from the time they answered the phone to the time they walked out of my home.

HONEST, HONEST, HONEST! I had the Pest Control Authority come in behind two other local companies because I was getting conflicting information. The first one said I currently HAVE active termites living underneath the house and that my house has never been treated from them, which were both blatant lies. The second one said I do not have termites, but was really pushing me to treat for them anyways. However, he wanted me to let him treat the house WITHOUT his office knowing about it. Sorry, but if you're going to scam your employer, I'm not going to trust you to work on my house!

This is when I called the Pest Control Authority (referred by a friend). The tech Josh called and we set the appointment for 6:30am because I needed it done before work. I really appreciated the flexibility. He told me that I do not have termites and that the house was likely treated before 1992. He could tell this by the drill holes from the last treatment.

He said back then the chemicals were much harsher and could sometimes last 30+ years. He was very honest and professional. After he told me his findings, I showed him what the first company said about me having active termites. He then decided to climb back underneath the house just to make sure he didn't miss anything and sure enough he did not. He was thorough and honest from the start.

He recommended an annual inspection, but never once lied or tried to pushed me into something I didn't need. The Pest Control Authority does business with integrity, and they will always have my business because of it. Yes - I very highly recommend!
