Living in Phoenix, Mesa, or even Glendale Arizona, having a cold home is not something you think about all that much. But as you know, during our winter months, it can get really cold at night and the early morning. Most people don't realize that it does get down into the 30's and 40's at night here in the desert during our cold season.

New AC installed in 2015 through Norris Air with a 10 year extended parts and labor warranty. Call Norris Air they say that when the warranty is transferred it drops to a 5 yr warranty even though it doesn't say that anywhere in the paperwork. They tell me to contact Johnson Controls. Johnson Controls says no it's still a 10 yr warranty but they don't show that it's transferred like Norris Air.

So between the two company's they have admitted to the warranty being 10 years even if transferred and that's it's been transferred but are each using a different excuse to not honor the warranty. So just shady business practices IMO

Don't buy their 10 year extended parts and labor warranty. No where on the paperwork does it say it goes to 5 years when transferred but that's the line I got when calling them. They referred me to Johnson controls saying they do the warranty work who also gave me the run around. So long story short 4 months ago I purchased a home with the 10 yr extended warranty on new AC installed in 2015 and it was transferred to me (we are in year 7). Why would they transfer the 10 yr warranty to me in year 7 if like I was told by Norris air transferred warranties are only good for 5 years?

I went to this company as they had installed a heat pump in the home I had purchased two years ago. The heat pump did not put out enough heat to my satisfaction so I went to their business location to inquire about options. I talked to the owner and he took my information and said he would get back to me in a week. Over two weeks later I still hadn't received any call.

So I called them again and talked to a technician. I was informed that an additional heat component was no longer available for my heat pump. So I asked about a wifi thermostat. He told me that it would cost about 500 plus a service call to determine if there was a common wire which is needed for a wifi thermostat. I did some research online and ended up purchasing a wifi thermostat at Lowes for 129.00 and installed myself. This company is way out of line with reality of value and assisting homeowners. They only seem to be interesting in overcharging for minimum services.

My mother and grandmother have used Norris air for years without a problem. Unfortunately I haven't had the same experience. My husband and I purchased a new AC and heating unit from them 2 years ago and they installed it incorrectly. They had to come out 3 times in the weeks following the install because unit leaked out all of its Freon and it was pouring water from the side of the hour and it took multiple visits for them to fix these issues. (Also, this unit was supposed to be more efficient than the 10 year old unit I had prior but our electric bill I.

The summer is the same if not a little higher than before) when winter hit the heating unit they installed didn't work. (They did admit to me that the unit was originally installed incorrectly) Now today I woke up at 8:30am and no cold air again. it looks like another from leak. I am having to pay 89 dollars each time they come out to fix an issue that was caused by incorrect installation.

As of October 2021 my unit which has received regular maintenance since purchased and installed in May 2018 through Norris now needs to be replaced. We paid Norris almost 10k and 3 1/2 years later are needing an entirely new unit. Norris also wanted $1650 dollars to fill my unit with Freon after it leaked due to a burst outdoor coil. My unit only hold 7.5 pounds of Freon.

So they would have been charging me $220 per pound for the Freon. The going rate for Freon refill where I live is $90-$120 per pound on a recharge after checking with multiple contractors. I received 2 second opinions and received confirmation that my unit was improperly installed by Norris and led to my units failure after only 3 1/2 years. I have had issues with this unit since the 1st month it was installed and Norris repeatedly minimized the issues and never corrected the bad install.

Please save yourself a lot of stress and money and go with someone other than Norris Air. We basically flushed 10k down the toilet that we could have really used and even with the parts and labor warranty we have had to spend a ton of money on service calls with them and repairs since may 2018.

We had Norris Air install a garage duct-less system, 19 Seer unit. The guys were terrific, a super hot day, they arrived with everything and did a detailed job on this installation. I highly recommend them and this type of system for our insulated garage. We can now use the garage in the summer, and operate the air efficiently with our solar system power.

Norris has been the best A/C install experience we have ever had. The team (Angel, Victor, and Kevin) did an amazing job - took their time to get all details right (install of 2 new 14 seer units, rework ducts, ecobee thermostats) and answered all questions I had. They were prompt and showed up on time each day. They cleaned up after and were knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous - a real pleasure to work with.

Their crew leader Ray made sure things were progressing nicely. The GM Cory and owner Paula showed up to check up on things too. Amazing team and the quality/craftsmanship/attention to detail was fantastic. I really do recommend Norris. A/C units need to be installed right, by people that know what they are doing. This is the company to choose - fantastic work, thank you!

Norris Air was the business of choice recommended to us by the woman we bought the home from. We've been customers since 2024 and since have had work done on the old AC, purchased a new AC, and of course a summer check up. Recently signed up for their yearly special of a checkup and also a cleaning. Service people have always been polite, explain what they are doing and offered advice. Office people are courteous, willing to help and most of all. patient. Thanks Norris

We used Norris Air to install Ecobee thermostats in our home. The staff, from scheduling to the gentleman that came into our home, were friendly and professional. We highly recommend Norris Air!

We were charged $559 for a one hour service call to fix a critter chewed wire and replace the thermostat. $286 of this was for the nonprogramable thermostat and installation. Unbelievable.

One star because I can't leave zero stars. I was badly overcharged ($286 for 30 minutes of labor, and a $20 part). I stopped in to their office the next day, sure that there was a mistake. I was assured by the receptionist that the charge was correct. When I told her that I was very uncomfortable being charged that much, she said that she would have either the general manager or the service manager call me, but neither one did. I blame myself for this partly as I did not do my due diligence. Had I checked the BBB and Yelp, I would have seen more negative than positive reviews on both.

I wish there was a minus 1 star. That is the rate I would give Norris Air. My 87 year old Mom lives in a mobile home park for seniors located in Mesa (in Norris Air's neighborhood). There is something wrong with her a/c and she called Norris Air. They told her it would cost $90 to just come to her house. She asked if that was applied to the parts, service etc. to fix the a/c.

They told her no it did not. That $90 was the rate to come to her house (4 minutes away). I thought surely she misunderstood. I called Norris Air this morning and asked for verification on what she said. Yes- they told me. It is $90 to come out and no that is not applied to any parts or service. I was shocked as Norris Air is in the mecca of the senior demographic and many of these people are on a fixed income.

I even asked what if it is as simple as changing batteries on the thermostat. They would advise her to change the batteries yet still charge her $90. I am so appalled! My husband and I both completely support family owned local business but not at the cost of ripping off the senior population. Stay away! There are other great companies out there. Look around.

I thought I was dealing with a reputable company in Norris Air. I've used your company in the past. You were a bit pricey but very prompt and when it's 115 price can sometimes be over looked. On 08/01/2018 I come home to a warm house. Called Norris Air to come take a look. Your tech was there quickly and very polite. Jumped up on the roof to take a look and diagnosed the compressor was not working.

He recommended we do a hard start kit at $385. A bit pricey but I was willing to deal with it based on the heat and time of day. Hard start kit worked for about 5 minutes and then the technician came back and said I had bigger problems. He said the coils were leaking and that I needed to replace them. He quoted me a price of $3600 to $3800. I told him that was not going to work and he agreed for that type of money it would make more since to replace my unit.

Keep in mind my unit is just over 5 years old. His recommendation was a $10,000.00 replacement unit. That wasn't going to happen either. I called in 31 Inc. Heating and Cooling. Harry the owner drove from Glendale to East Mesa and was here at 7:45 this morning 08/02/2018. He had my unit back up in running in less than 30 minutes for the cost of 14 pounds of freon and a patch to a leaky cap.

A few hundred dollars opposed to $3800 coil replacement or $10,000.00 new unit. This is disturbing that you would cheat folks out of hard earned money like this. Its 110 degree weather and you know people will make rash decisions in desperation. Beyond disappointed and will never use or recommend Norris Air again.

Air conditioner did not work so called Norris. Technician was able to unlock the condenser. He sold me a hard start unit for $327 saying it would help by making the condenser easier to start. Shortly after he left it locked up again. The next technician recommended a new air conditioner because condenser shot. Got another bid for a new air conditioner that was much lower (about 2K lower).

Also learned that I was sold something I did not need and was not useful -- the hard start for $327. The previous year I was sold a surge protector that also I did not need. I think Norris trains its technicians to sell, sell, sell. I do not recommend this company.

Well I purchased a trailer with an existing 2014 Coleman A/C. I was excited to have a newer A/C in the trailer when I purchased it. But unfortunately soon as I needed it it didn't work. Found out I needed $1,000 worth of work! Ugh so frustrating. I was ready to give a one star rating especially since the thermostat that was replaced cost me close to $300.00 when a quick google search shows the same thermostat for $39.00.

But I am giving Norris Air a 3 star because Darian the technician worked very hard and long to provide good service. I recognized his efforts. And I appreciate his concern and care. Darian continue to try and do the right thing. That's how you get to heaven!

These guys are dishonest. They came highly recommended a few years ago and they did a good job then. They did another job for me a few weeks ago and I paid way more than I should have paid and way more than their estimate. I had two perfectly good new thermostats from Home Depot. They insisted the system will only work if I used their $265 thermostat. I now have a new thermostat with a Norris Air sticker to remind me I was cheated!

Thank you Richard and Arnold for doing such a fine job installing our new air conditioner. Even tho Norris air tried to nickel and dime us over the estimate you guys worked very hard and Richard you're very worthy to the company. You seem to be honest and worked with us to get the right kind of goods that we needed instead of a fly-by-night cheap company. Norris Air should give you both raises.

I had them out to repair my air conditioner and had mentioned I had a bad fan motor. It would cost a $89 trip and diagnose charge, I questioned about the warranty and they said my unit qualified in their 10 year warranty which meant the part would be free but I would have to pay for labor. The man showed up 4 hours late, then diagnose that indeed it was a fan motor needed. since waiting all day in a hot home I was anxious to get it repaired so I said ok and then found out it was $267 to just install the motor. So, from the time the man knocked on my door until the time he pulled away was a total of 53 minutes. The total for them to come out and replace a fan motor $356. Needless to say I will never call this company again. I hope who ever reads this will feel the same way.

I called called because my AC unit was making a loud noise. The service rep. came out checked thing over and told me many things were wrong and it would cost me over $3000 to fix it. He told me I should replace it. Estimate for that was over $7000. He charged me $89 for a service call in which he did nothing but check it out. I told him I needed other estimates and would call them.

The next morning another company came and found the fan blade was hitting a set of wire with an end cap. He moved the wires up away from the blade and that was all to took to sound normal again. I asked him to check my AC over to see if there were any other problems. None were found. I asked him what I owed him and he nothing since it was such a small fix.

I called Norris and told them what was wrong and wanted my money back for their so called service visit. The were very nasty to me. I think ripping senior citizens off has become the standard in this company. $89 does not seem like a lot of money to most people but to senior citizens on a fixed income it is a lot. I had to pay them so they could try and take as much money as possible from me. Thief is the word that comes to mind when talking about Norris Air.

We have been using Norris for the last 10 years and are completely satisfied. This summer they replaced our air conditioner, installers were fast and clean, left the house as it was found. Noticed some noise 2 days later, called the office and within 30 minutes they were at the house. Great service no complaints.

The company changed out the entire heating & air conditioning as well as all the under floor vents and hauled away all the old units to include a swamp cooler and did this all in one day. They arrived at 7:30 AM and left at 4:00 PM and by looking at the site, it was cleaner than when they came.

Norris Air lives up to their word. They state, "committed to exceptional service, outstanding workmanship and strives for 100% customer satisfaction." My mother purchased a new unit from Norris Air last year and they made three service calls during the one year warranty period to correct issues most likely due to poor installation. This is the reason they did not receive a 5 star rating.

The general manager was patient and attempted to answer all of my questions regarding the issues during the service calls. If you are looking for a firm that will do what they say, then Norris Air should be considered.

Horrible business practices. They sold me an a/c unit a few years back that CANNOT handle the AZ heat. They came out 2x and basically said we don't know what to tell you. Never, ever again. I'm out $7000 with an a/c unit that doesn't hold up to the AZ heat.

Nope, never again! If your Tech's can't maintain a professional attitude and complain even before they start the job. To me that is a reflection of poor scheduling. Indicating poor management. Offering another tech service to rectify the first behavior problem is creating another situation for a possibility for more attitude. Thanks but no thanks.

Since our air conditioning was over 20 years old, we decided to bit the bullet and replace it before this summers heat begins. Checked with three companys and Norris Air was the only one that did not try to over sell us with more than we need. Finished the job in one day and we couldn't be happier with the results and service.

I had such a bad experience at Norris Air I can not believe there in business. I was lied to more than once and customer care is non existence. I talked to the owner and she lied to my face repeatedly so I walked out of there completely dumbfounded. Luckily there are lots of AC companies out there. I strongly would never recommend this company to anyone and to think there a family owned company, ,,w ow complet disgrace.

We were extremely satisfied with the promptness of our appointment and the courtesy extended by both the office personnel and the serviceman. We would definitely recommend Norris Air for any A/C or heating needs. They also offer an excellent and inexpensive twice a year service plan to meet customer needs.

Each time we've had to call, we've had polite service and prompt service. The service tech calls when he's on his way to let us know when to expect him and he's always very helpful in explaining what he's doing and what the problem is. We are very happy with Norris Air and they have stood behind their products and services.

We had Norris Air come out and perform the annual routine maintenance on our heat pump. They arrived when they said they would and got right to work. They checked and cleaned the unit, including the thermostat. They installed a surge protector and a device to minimize the electricity required at start up.

This company is so refreshing to do business with. My husband chose this company because of the way they treated our neighbor. Jim's a/c went out, and Norris set up a temporary, portable unit so Jim could stay in his home.

I am giving 1 star as thats how horrible the service was. they were rude and unprofessional. told me lies about my hvac unit and wanted me to pay top dollar for this service. I hope norris reads this and refunds my money. I called a competitor who provided me better service and did more for a third of the price that norris quoted. stay away from this company they will rip you off.

I was able to call and get someone out to make sure I had cool air until a new A/C could be ordered. Within a matter of days one was put in place and I had a wonderful quiet a/c for a couple weeks. Then all of a sudden the a/c went on the fritz and when I called again, I had someone at my home in a short period of time.

My home is selling this week and per the inspection my AC unit needed more freon and a leak check. The realtor contacted another AC company and they were going to charge over $400. I called Norris air and they were out there in 45 minutes and did an electronic leak test (the other AC company was going to use an old fashioned messy die to leak test).
