After experiencing a flood from a faulty drain pipe in our home we were lucky to be referred to Nordic Services, Bremerton, WA. We had extensive damage to a bathroom, an office room, and carpet in four rooms and two hallways, and we were in need of finding a restoration construction company we could trust. Nordic Services (Bremerton) came to our home in a timely manner and provided a fair and comprehensive bid for the necessary work to be done.

We were very satisfied with the workers and especially happy with the quality of the work they accomplished for us. From start to finish, we were given respect and a fair price for high quality work. I would highly recommend Nordic Services, Bremerton, to anyone looking to repair or remodel his or her home. -Claudia Alfred

I gave this company a five star review the first time i had to use them, this time the job was much smaller so maybe the service is dependent on size of job. The service was terrible, it took forever to get them to complete and then i had an electrical problem in the garage that should have been taken care of but wasn't so i ended up having another company correct it out of my pocket when the insurance should have taken care of it. Overall experience this time around was unsatisfactory.

We hired Nordic Services based on the recommendation of our insurance company for a house fire and water damage as a result. We are so happy that we took the recommendation and hired them - our house is better than new and you would never know that we had restoration work done. From start to finish, this has been a wonderful experience and we would highly recommend this company to anyone needing restoration work. The crew worked hard and did an amazing job. Very thankful to each and every one of them for giving us our house back. Thank you!

Nordic did a fantastic job restoring our basement after some severe water damage. The final product is better than it was prior to the damage. Kudos to Louie, Andrew, Tyler, Eli, Morgan, Trent, Ryan and Patricia. Highly recommend this company.

We hired Nordic Services to restore our townhouse after extensive water damage. This involved drywall repair, plumbing, flooring and tilework, along with finish carpentry. Both my husband and I were so impressed with the professionalism and quality of workmanship Nordic provided. Every detail was attended to and followed up on to ensure our satisfaction. We would wholeheartedly recommend Nordic to anyone needing a restoration or remodel.

AVOID FOR MANY REASONS! PLEASE READ! We made a big mistake by choosing them. We had some tree damage last Spring and couldn't find a contractor that could start for several months. Nordic said they could do the restoration and a kitchen remodel we wanted. I did some research and noticed they were not rated very high, management sold us on they could do the job.

Our first bid was reasonable, but then we agreed on some changes and the second bid was almost double. We were perplexed, so we started to audit the bid before we signed it. We had told Nordic that we already had appliances, several times, but they tried charged us for them. We also found several duplicate items in the bid, David Omli President of Nordic said these were simple mistakes!

After cleaning these up, they submitted another bid, that had more duplicate items. We never signed the final bid due to continuous mistakes. They are very expensive, there is a 30% markup on every item. They also don't provide any help on selecting items such as floors, roof materials, and so on. It's a trust us we know what we are doing, we've been doing it for 30 years mentality.

We had a new roof put on, they dropped off a shingle sample board, told us to pick a color, that's it. We didn't know quality, warranty, price, why choose this over that? Same with our cabinets. Also estimates for subcontractors were extremely high, we had two bids for electrical from Nordic for the kitchen $17,400 and $13,500(after making them get another bid).

After those I had two electricians give me a bid and they averaged $7,500. When we confronted management on these issues, we received long winded and derogatory responses. There were times where we would go weeks without a response. Once we fired them, it took them almost 2 months for them to respond. They sent us a final bill with items on it they did not perform, plus pressuring us to pay. ---- Replying to Nordics response: Don't be swayed by David's response.

There were over 3 times they tried to double bill us, even after specific emails and phone calls to remove things. It was his idea to bill the insurance company for wood shakes and then use that money in the remodel. The two electricians that reviewed Nordics electrical bid are certified King County Electrical inspectors coming from being an licensed electrician. I think they primarily deal with insurance companies, are understaffed and not detailed when it comes to running a project.

Nordic Const was charged with repairing damage from a leaky upstairs toilet. They supported our agreed schedule (even though they were impacted by the Port Orchard tornado). The Nordic guys and all the subs were very professional and helpful. Everyone was pleasant and incorporated all my requests.

Experience with Nordic Services Restoration Contractors in north Seattle for a major house fire insurance restoration project in Woodinville, is, and was, an outstanding experience, much better than expected. First and foremost they took the stressful situation away from us as much as possible; they completed a full assessment of what the damages consisted of, the reality of completing repairs in current market conditions - codes, materials, costs, getting the most money from the insurance company as they could.

Then meeting with us to explain how to proceed. We were lucky to have Nordic recommended by the insurance carrier as they created an updated appealing house that is far better than the old one. Working with David at Nordic was a great experience--I can attest that he is a true professional, and a reliable one. David used his construction and design expertise to improve the floor plan within the insurance company's coverage limits. Nordic's structural repairs uncovered hidden damages not covered by insurance; they overcame most of issues by creating cost effective trade-off plans that met insurance company compensation allowances.

The fire damage demolished the outdated kitchen; Nordic turned it into a 21st century stainless appliance marvel, with quartz counter tops, eat-in counter top, and great lighting. Recovered and converted empty and under-utilized spaces into roomy walk-in pantry, storage spaces, and more. The open and efficient living space sparkles. Material selection recommended by Nordic exceeds expectations. unexpected but greatly appreciated, like icing on the cake.

Code compliance requirements caused several cost increases not covered by insurance; Nordic provided options and reasons why we needed to meet current codes and Fire Marshal demands, with cost tradeoff options for other repairs that minimized out of pocket expenses that increased our safety. Nordic's workmanship, material quality, thoughtfulness, good communications, and responsive interaction, converted the fire renovation stress into a process of improvement and comfort knowing we were in good hands. We are pleased with the renovation results; and highly recommend David and his Nordic Services Group to anyone. Joe

Looks like we miss-communicated and we had Gordon come out and do the estimate. We received detailed breakdown of all the work that was suggested and we appreciate their time and effort on this task.

Nordic Services has excellent customer service and an extensive list of subcontractors for just about anything your home could require. My Bothell home needed additional insulation and I didn't just want to choose anyone from the phone book or the mailer ads, so I called Nordic and they sent a great team out who got my attic filled and not my house. The crew was clean, on-time, courteous and affordable. I will definitely look to Nordic Services for future needs.

Nordic Services was recommended to us by our insurance company after we suffered extensive water damage. Long and short of it they do not stand behind their work. We had over $100,000 in services don by Nordic, including repainting the doors on our first level. A few years after the work was completed I called Nordic to advise that the paint was peeling from these doors.

The construction manager (who wa active on our almost 6 month long job) never bothered to come out and look at the damage and alleged it was due to improper cleaning. It as not. I have never used Magic Eraser on my doors just damp rag. I clean all my doors (which are identical in materials and age) the same way. Only the ones Nordic painted are peeling.

What does that tell you? Every painter I had come in and look at them said they were not properly prepped. BEWARE! Nordic talks a good game but does not stand behind its work.

AVOID AT ALL COST! We started working on a bathroom remodeling project with Nordic Services 8 months ago. We signed a contract with them 3 months ago and paid a down payment. We worked with their subcontractors and completed material selection 5 weeks ago. At this point, we expected that the estimate would be revised based on the selected material, and work be scheduled.

But then Nordic stalled for 5 weeks and would not schedule the work. During this period of 5 weeks, the estimator who wrote the original estimate left the company, and a new estimator took over. The new estimator wanted to bring additional subcontractors to view the site. We tried to be accommodating and made the time. But Nordic and their subcontractors did not show up, did not care to inform me, and did not offer any apology afterward. Finally, 2 days ago, they suddenly sent me an email saying the contract was no longer valid and that they would end it.

They claimed that the scope of the work has changed. But the truth is there was no change in scope. I think they just don't want to honor their commitment. I don't usually write reviews. But I wrote this review in the hope that no other customer would have to go through the painful experience we did. Cons: Extreme lack of communication - don't respond to emails or phone, not show up for appointment and no apology after ward, no channel to escalate issues, don't honor contract. Pros: Can't think of any right now.

I just had a great experience with Nordic Services. We had a tree fall on our property two months ago, and Nordic was one of three companies recommended by our insurance company to do the restoration work. I chose Nordic Services because they were the most thorough in their estimate. The other two companies both missed things that needed restoration in their bids.

All of the staff at Nordic Services that I dealt with, the estimator Gordon Martindale, Mitch the crew chief and his staff, and Patricia Sherman and others in the office, were always friendly and helpful. The work was all high quality and completed in a reasonable amount of time. I strongly recommend Nordic Services to anyone who needs construction work, particularly restoration.

I am a renter (thankfully). Nordic has been the worst experience of my life. After a tree fell on my place nordic took over after the structural drying. they take their sweet sweet time, so far to drywall and paint a bedroom, bathroom, and half of a living room it has taken two and a half months. communication is terrible, between the contractor and myself and between the contractor and their employees. they do NOT clean anything once they're done. overall DO NOT USE NORDIC SERVICES! they are the worst contractor i have ever dealt with

DO NOT USE IF THEY ARE RECOMMENDED TO YOU. Very poor communication, took forever to get the job accomplished. Delays due to fixing issues their employees caused, left work site in a mess, employee walking off the job. leaving the homeowners belongings to the weather causing more damage. Wrong parts ordered. Didn't return calls. Hiking prices at the last minute. Please heed my words do not use NORDIC for any reason at all.

Nordic Services worked on my home in Port Ludlow, WA. The contractor, Chris Jackson, was amazing. Chris was on top of this job from the first moment we met. He has stayed in constant contact with any schedule changes and such, which I appreciate tremendously. His crew has gone above and beyond to make sure everything is back to normal here at the house.

I appreciate Chris "holding my hand" so to speak through this process and answering all my calls and questions (I'm sure I've annoyed him a great deal, but he never let me feel like I was)! To me I was one of the annoying homeowners that would point out every little thing I saw, and the crew was always quick to make me feel that it would be taken care of and not to worry.

I will definitely recommend your company to everyone I know, but I ESPECIALLY recommend Chris Jackson to be the head contractor for the job. With the time he spent explaining things to me, I feel like a more knowledgeable homeowner and in a better mindset with my home than I was before meeting him.

They do good work, but they are incredibly slow. They rescheduled multiple times, took over 2 months to finish about 24 hours worth of work. They are also obscenely expensive. They charged $2700. It was covered by insurance so I didn't worry about price too much until after getting aggravated with their poor customer service.

Although no one wants to have major water damage that requires their kitchen to be totally torn out, I now feel it was a blessing in disguise! Nordic Services turned my very unpleasant experience, and lack of the use of most of my house, to a new appreciation of my kitchen and home. They were timely, courteous, professional and helpful. I would recommend them highly to anyone who asked.
