Newtec Window & Door

This place has extremely terrible customer services and a terrible structure. When you make any purchase from Newtec, they will offshore it to another chinese company/saleperson, mainly Isa Gao, whom is also involve within another company (Gp Services Of Glass LLC). Newtec will not honor any warranty displayed on their website because they offload it to the other company/salesperson. Newtec is a front selling cheap windows by the bulk but they are not experts or professionals in the window industry.

They do hire illegal workers claiming to be technicians but they actually do not have any status to be working. My advice is to spend a little more and hire real professionals and stay away from Newtec Windows. I had 2 other window companies came out and review what the estimate to fix these terrible windows and now i have to spend more money to have them replaced.

BUYER BEWARE. Ordered 16 windows for my property. Some of the windows were crooked. No I'm not talking about the window opening, I'm talking about the window shashes. They were 1/8 of an inch longer on one side than the other. YES THE SHASES WERE NOT SQUARE. See photos attached. They refused to talk to me even though I paid for the windows. When the installer called, the owner tried to convince him to discredit me. When he told them we already measured the windows, the owner told the installer to never let the customer measure the windows. Wow.

Great place for the value. I always have had great customer service. They even fix there windows.

I use to buy my windows here, but today I decided to but somewhere else, they being rude to you when you call them, if you need to know a price they ask you to stop by the office instead of just give u a price by phone, their prices are a little higher than other places, and the quality is not the best,

The windows were made exactly to the requested measurements and looked amazing! Had a great experience and will definitely be going back and recommending to family/friends.

If you can't find the size of your window in a retail store this is the place. All windows are custom order to your specifications

Didn't have the best experience just getting an estimate. Seemed like there was some kind of language barrier in addition to disinterest in my business. Two stars for replying and answering my questions - quote was simply much, much too high for the work compared to other contractors (did not actually visit in person though).

I went in for some window repairs when I went for pick up 30 mins early the Mexican guy in the back name Martin told me they were not ready yet but I was looking at them and they were ready. I would not do business here again.

My neighbor got all windows done from Newtec, and referred them to me, just got all windows replaced for this new property, all front looks beautiful and stand out, good window, good installation, efficient installer.

I had them install a glass patio door and screen door in my apartment. The work was great. The glass door opens and closes easily. The workers cleaned up very thoroughly when they were done. After a while the screen door got really sticky and hard to open.

Horrible phone service I called to ask about getting someone to come and give me a window installation estimate and the lady just ignored me question and said " installation?." I repeated the question and she said " You need installation?" So I just said yes after 3 tries and she just told me to call some other person that does contracts. I'm just amazed this is a business.

We had all the house windows replaced, from the beginning till the project finished, we have very pleasant experience to work with the Sales person, she gave us good suggestion. They have very good quality windows, and the installation crew are efficient, hard working crew. For sure we will use them for other property too.

There is a woman there i want to say she's polish and seems to be the manager who is really rude. Went in there to get some broken windows repaired and I forgot my wallet, she would not let me leave them there while I went to get money I had to haul my broken windows out again. You must pay all upfront even though their paper work says 50% deposit. I decided to take my business somewhere else and avoid my frustration with rude people (polished manager to be exact)

Please do not consider using Newtec for their parts and installation. Our condo building purchased a new front door from Newtec this past summer, and we have had problem after problem with it. And, five months later, the problems are still not resolved. First, the installation was deplorable. After installation, there was a significant gap between the flooring and the door, which aesthetically looked horrendous. Newtec told us that there was nothing that they could do about it as they needed to remove flooring to install the door.

Given that they came out and measured our door prior to providing quotes, I'm not sure why the fact that they would need to remove flooring wasn't brought to our attention prior to us selecting a door. We have made the best of the ruined front entry way and filled in the gape, though it looks nowhere near as nice as the old door. Second, during installation, they banged up the area surrounding the door and left it to us to clean up the smudged walls.

They also left drywall everywhere. My biggest complain, however, relates to the functionality of the door. When it was first installed, the door would stick, and we'd have to pull it hard to get it to latch. They came out and fixed that, but then the door seemed inordinately heavy and was tough to open. They claimed that the heaviness was due to the weight of the door.

One night last week, when the door shut, I heard a loud pop and hydraulic fluid starting leaking from the hinge at the top. Now our door slams shut very, very fast. It is a heavy door and the way it is slamming could cause a lot of damage as it goes from open to shut in a split second, slamming with a large amount of force. I'm confident the difficulty opening the door since July and the current slamming issue are related and that the door was never properly fit. Newtec claims that they'll come fix it after the holidays, but I'm starting to think this expensive door will never work correctly.

On May 4, 2011, I purchased windows for my condo and one of the windows has leaked from the day it was installed. The representative of Newtec came several times to inspect the window. On one occasion, he bore two holes and on another time installed a piece vertically in the window which he said would resolve the problem. It did more harm then good.

Then he told me he was going to have the owner look at it and since then, they don't return any phone calls. They have had several occassions to come and see for themselves how the window leaks. They don't care! The service, professionalism and follow through couldn't get worse. They ignore any complaint against them. It appears, the only alternative is to file a law suit.

On January 11, 2013 the owner finally came to inspect the window and he feels that this is as good as it gets. I thought when you replaced windows it was to keep the cold and rain out of your home. This is not what I wanted and certainly not what I paid for. Furthermore I paid $200.00 more then I should have. His honesty is questionable. The Better Business Bureau has asked that I file a complaint with the Attorney General's Office.

Got 24 windows done by Newtec last fall. Still waiting for some dented sill handles (dented in shipping) fixed. But that's mostly my fault. They do keep calling to try to reschedule. Haven't forgotten me! Price was great. Saleswoman was straight and to the point. Gave me a price in 15 minutes. No BS sales pitches like Universal. Installers were easy to work with (one unit of building was occupied) fairly neat and fast. 24 replacement windows gutted and installed in one day. Job looks clean and sharp. Downside is I found a few caulking spots missed during final inspection and the dented handles. But for the price, a job well done.

I recently bought a condo last fall. The Newtec windows seem pretty good so far, and they seem good quality. What currently lacks in quality is the customer service and follow through. I was missing some pieces to the window back in October. They came out and took measurements in November/December, and said it would be fixed. It is now April. I've called twice, and they continue to stall while saying they are trying to coordinate with our building's original developer (who is apparently AWOL). Instead, they should simply be replacing and repairing the missing parts as they stated they would.

I plan to do one more follow up call, and then that's it. I'm showing up on site. They are certainly polite, but there's no reason why I should have to continue to beg for them to install something that should have been installed in the first place.
