I scheduled the duct cleaning service after hearing about it on the radio and purchasing my home last year from pet owners and it was so nice to have them come in and clean all the ductd and remove a lot of the pet hair I could not remove with the vacuum. My dad reported that they came in and had their own tarp like cloth to lay down to not soil any of the floor or furniture that was around the ducts and made sure to get my laundry exhaust vent and apparently it was blocked so I'm so glad that they checked it!

He also assisted my dad and changing out the filter for the heating vent. They spend about 20 minutes on each vent and my dad said he was here for quite a few hours since I have 7 -8 ducts plus the laundry & they spent time in the crawl space at the heater. Thank you so much for this service Moore heating I can hear the air moving more freely and feel more comfortable knowing there's less dust and allergens in the home air!

My heater went out and Moore Heating was incredible to work with! They got a technician out to get a quote immediately and were able to schedule it after hours given I had no heat. The quote was reasonable and their team went through the specs one by one with me so I understood fully what I was purchasing. The team had great customer service, great communication, were very timely and they allow you to make payments with zero interest. Really loved working with them. Highly highly recommend Moore Heating!

Moore installed an insert in my old inefficient fireplace. WOW! Everything about this experience and outcome was flawless! The end result is above my expectations I absolutely LOVE my new fireplace insert! The install person Jerry, was very concerned to take care that nothing of mine was damaged, that the insert was installed and inspected in a timely manner, he respected my privacy, he didn't try to teach everything about how to install an insert I totally and completely, without a doubt recommend Moore Plumbing and Heating for installing inserts!

Today I noticed the heat inside my house had drastically gotten much colder over a period of a couple hours. With it being a holiday weekend, I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to get an appointment the same day. Fortunately, Gary was able to get me on the schedule and I had a plumber at my home within 2 hours. Chris was able to triage the situation and get to work ASAP.

His van was well stocked and he had all the parts necessary to get our furnace up and running within a few hours. There were several parts that needed to be replaced but he remained positive and professional the entire time. He was kind and explained what was happening along the way. We have been customers of Moore Heating for over 27 years now and I've never been disappointed by their services. I highly recommend Moore to both my friends and neighbors. This year's Thanksgiving. I am very thankful for a nice warm house and hot water.

Had a tech come over to service our boiler, just a simple cleaning. He decided to go above and beyond that by mentioning that our pressure tank was too small and causing a leak from the relief valve. (We were already aware of all of this) He then proceeded to shut off the main water valve, cutting off all incoming water to our boiler, which we had left on to compensate for the drip. (until we had enough extra money to upgrade our tank) His reasoning was that it would be fine until he could come back in a *few weeks* to upgrade the pressure tank set up. Naturally, all the water leaked out (from the drip he ignored). Caused the boiler to fault and shut off. i woke up to the house being 40 degrees and i had to fix the problem myself that their tech created, narrowly avoiding my home freezing up entirely.

All i got was excuses and justifications when i called them. I talked with the owner and he made an appointment for a couple days later to change the tank out. They called me last minute and canceled it. Claiming they were "too busy" If i could give 0 stars or less i would, they just came for simple servicing and nearly cause a catastrophe, without any interest in accountability.

Recommend. My furnace stopped working today. On my initial call, Gary spent time running through the easy fixes on the phone with me and was clear about after hour hourly rates. After calling around, they were the only ones who could come within a week's time. Shawn was professional, quickly diagnosed the issue, and had replacement parts on hand. Now the kids have stopped asking me if I'm SURE I paid the gas bill. Very pleased and will call again.

There is a line in one of my favorite songs that states; "(Don't it always seem to go) you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone." (Big Yellow Taxi by Joni Mitchell). Such is the case with running hot water! Interesting experiment to see how long we could go without a hot shower. It really wasn't as bad as I thought, however I'm no Grizzly Adams either. Moore Heating was called upon since they are the ones who did a fine job installing our previous hot water heater that bit the dust after 11 years!

Could have been a 5 star experience, but due to a short staffing issue, there was wait time involved, and when the day came to install, the worker just showed up 2 hours early without the promised heads up call first. Nice job all considered, even if the 2000 dollar and some change charge definitely stings. There was a struggle fitting the new unit into the tight space we have.

Hot water is one of those things we tend to take for granted. To have it back is nothing short of wonderful. Thank you, Tony, Justin, and the phone service folks at Moore Heating.

Moore Heating installed a new furnace for us 12 years ago and has performed all the regular maintenance since then. They just installed a new hot water heater and garage heater. Excellent work and really friendly phone staff and technicians! Highly recommended them.

I am writing about the service I had today at my home for duct cleaning. Dan Rudd, my serviceman was absolutely professional from start to finish. He called me 20 minutes before arriving and went to work right away. He spent about 3 hours and we hit it off and he went above and beyond for me. He was engaging and respectful and even removed a old sump pump *at my request* because the last contractor left it there and a huge mess to boot! Dan was vacuuming the floors and even got a co worker to bring a new air filter!

For a such a young man he was very mature! I lost so much faith in the younger generation and he restored that in me. Thank you Dan! Thank you Moore Heating for a wonderful unexpected experience! I highly recommend. 5 Stars! Hey Moore give that boy a raise! Best, Lynda Parker

Over the years I've purchased a furnace, had duct cleaning, and recently had a gas fireplace insert installed. Moore Heating is the best. Very friendly and professional, quick to provide a quote, fair pricing and excellent work done by an experienced crew. I have been extremely satisfied with this outstanding company.

Called to get my furnace cleaned and water heater checked, person working the phones was super helpful and booked my appointment. Asked about cleaning out my water tank (my friend did theirs recently) and they suggested that since there wasn't any discoloring/rust in my hot water, it would not be a good idea due to the age of my water heater and that it has not been done since I owned the house (six years).

They are so busy it was booked out two months! Would be smart to book early with them. Two technicians arrived wearing masks and respecting social distancing. Once they serviced my furnace and water heater, they gave me a detailed report and cleared me for the year. It is really refreshing not to be upsold. I will be using Moore's Heating again.

After trying the other guy (in too much of a hurry), I called Moore Heating. I have a combi boiler water heater. It was acting up, not staying lit. Sean came over (mask on), cleaned and installed parts and got it running good as new. Professional, knowledgeable, efficient, effective. Highly recommended.

Our furnace was giving us some trouble (in other words not working) and they sent someone out to fix. It was fine for a few days but played the repeat button after 3 days. Then came the shop manager and he was awesome. Fixed it right up and was very knowledgeable and professional. Just in time for the single digit temps. Thanks guys!

We've used them for years for routine annual servicing of our furnace. Recently we had a water heater problem. They fixed it to the tune of $600. Continued to have issues so they sent someone to look at it. Said we needed a new water heater, doing a valve fix would probably not work (throwing good money after bad were their exact words), and also the way the tank was positioned made it too difficult to do the work.

We decided to get an estimate from a different plumber, and he said we just needed a valve fix and new pressure tank. No problem with location of the unit. Cost us $275, versus Moore's $2000 estimate. I will never, ever, use Moore's again. They are all about over-inflating your problem so you spend money making unnecessary repairs. The plumber we ended up using also said that what they charged us for the prior fix was also ridiculous.

Do not use this company unless you enjoy wasting your money and supporting dishonest folks. I feel very thankful we found someone else who we trust and is good value for money. *edited to add for owner response: I have a different last name from my husband so no, you won't find me in your system. There is really nothing you as a business owner can do for this situation.

Your estimator gave us garbage advice. You can't fix that. You overcharged us for the first fix. You can't fix that. We're tired of having to put up with overpriced services, and poor quality services, and getting the run around from businesses. Put your customer first. Create value. Don't push for the most expensive fix. You fix that, you'll get great reviews and loyalty.

Recently had Moore Heating come out to replace a water heater on warranty. When I called to tell them the water heater was going out they sent someone out to confirm it and charged me for the service call. They did replace the water heater as it was under warranty but charged me an additional $ 1,100 to install it, on top of the initial service call to confirm what I had already told them.

I will admit they do great work and are very professional and clean up the work area when finished. I will probably use them again but not until I have nailed down their charges.

Very good service. Our forced air heater hasn't been working correctly. The technician came and fixed the problem and explained in simple words what was wrong. He also asked if I had any questions about anything else. He was very professional. I will recommend this business to anyone that has heating problems and will defiantly use them in the future again.

Gas leak after service cleaning by Moore, called 3 times because I smelled GAS. No response from Moore. Called enstar who came out in 5 minutes. There was a GAS leaking caused by Moore technician which enstar fixed immediately. Enstar tech was previously employed by Moore and called owner directly to inform him of situation. I spoke to owner and resolved situation.

This occurred approx 1.5 years ago. Called Moore today for furnace issue. I WAS INFORMED I AM ON A DO NOT SERVICE LIST. Property owners beware! In response to your comments, Your records are incorrect. The leak was caused by your new technician, which you acknowledged when I spoke to you. I called within 2 hours of your technician leaving. I spoke to the receptionist numerous times leaving a message of a gas leak.

A return call from Moore was made 3 hours later, after enstar was called, came out, and fixed the GAS leak. I spoke to you directly after the enstar worker, your former employee, and you waved the service charge so I cancelled the check, as per our discussion. My furnace is old and is NOT is poor condition. Your new employee/technician was trying to up sell me a new 15k furnace, which I will need at some point but didn't need when Moore came out.

Thank you for the response but Moore should have handled the emergency situation promptly and if you were going to put me on a no service list, I should have been respectively notified. I own numerous multiplexes and operate my own small business, if I treated my customers like I was treated by Moore, I would be out of business! BEWARE PROPERTY OWNERS

Had Moore Heating come out for an presale furnace inspection on an old furnace. Matt, the technician, was respectful and friendly and took time to explain what he was doing and why, even though I am familiar with construction.

I have been very pleased with Moore Heating. When I had a problem with my Heating System a few days ago I was prepared to go to battle. But much to my relief Moore stepped up to the plate and made things right for me.

Moore recently completed a new gas furnace and on-demand water heater installation in our Girdwood condo. I don't know when I've ever been able to say this but the entire process was flawless. Rob Merchant was in constant contact and the job was finished on time and on budget. They even went back down when I mentioned a problem with low water pressure and replaced a broken gate valve at no extra charge. I highly recommend them.

I wish I could give more stars. I have been in Anchorage for a short time, but have used a lot of companies to do work on my house. Most have a great sales presentation but horrible quality of work.

Technician came out on Monday because boiler had stopped working over the weekend - looked at boiler and noticed heat exchanger was leaking; told us that not worth fixing and likely warranty will cover some cost. He did not seem to be very knowledgable and seemed to have trouble explaining why the boiler stopped working in the first place. He was in the house for maybe 10-15 minutes total and we were billed for 1 hour labor which is reasonable.

The technician had to send pictures and contact the boiler manufacturer to obtain warranty coverage the next day - this was also charged a full hour of labor which I think is ridiculous! We were contacted by an estimator to look at our boiler and provide an estimate for the new boiler. He was punctual and professional and we had an estimate the next day.

The estimate only had a total price; no itemization to show the cost of the new boiler, labor costs, parts, etc. Given that it had been nearly a week without hot water and they could get it done the same day we approved the cost. The installer called me around 4:30 or 5 pm to let me know they were heading to the house. By the time I was off work at 7 they were already gone and the boiler was up and running.

I was very happy that the work was done so quickly. When the bill came in the mail (which I had to ask for) it was identical to the estimate. Based on the warranty refund I was able to figure out the boiler cost of $2884, so an install that took 2 hours cost $5681! When I asked the company for an itemized invoice they said that "they don't do that." The boiler worked well for hot water but when we turned on the heat a week later, nothing.

Another service call to figure out what was wrong. This technician was on time but also did not seem to be very knowledgable. When looking at the boiler he asked me for my manual which I provided. He ended up calling another person to help him figure out what was going on. Turns out the temperature was set far too low by the installers. An easy fix and since then the boiler has been working well.

Overall the work was done well and done fast. The price was outrageous in my mind and the fact that they won't provide an itemized invoice helps confirm that there is no basis for the high prices aside from limited options.

I have not had much luck with Moore Heating and Air Conditioning. I had one of their techs come out to fix our gas fireplace and was told it was not repairable and we needed a new one installed. I got a second opinion and the fireplace is working just fine. I have tried to talk with the service manager several times but never get a call back or when I go into the store he is not available.

They had no trouble sending me a bill and offering to sell me a new unit but have no interest in discussing why their tech was not able to do the repair. I would not recommend this company to service anything in my home. Poor customer service and a failure to follow up on my complaint makes for a one star rating in my book.

Our 1982-vintage furnace died and we called several Anchorage businesses to provide estimates. Only one business performed an on-site Manual J, a heat-loss analysis that was recommended by all the web sites that we studied. Using the data from the Manual J, Ryan (the Moore agent) recommended several furnaces and efficiencies. We made our decision and were scheduled for the installation.

The Moore installers, Bruce and Paul, were punctual, professional, and courteous. I stayed with them most of the day, helping here and there and they were kind enough not to complain. They worked steadily for almost ten hours to install our furnace. We think that the price was fair for what we received when compared with other bids that we received. Moore even gave us a discount for our removal of the old unit.

We cannot claim a long-term evaluation of the 98% furnace, but so far it's very quiet and very fast at increasing house temperature. The installation is superb: neat, clean. Bruce and Paul consulted with us about options for the pipe locations and allowed us to decide, even though another location would have been simpler for them. We are scheduled for a municipal inspection today so if there are problems, I'll amend this review. Alaska is not the most inexpensive place to live, so one must ensure value for those dollars. Lennox makes highly rated furnaces and Moore provides a good service. We recommend them
