I am reviewing some of the positive reviews of kastel kitchen and want to warn that I had an absolutely terrible experience with them. Al is completely dishonest and the cabinets that he created as a mock up were not what we discussed. He pulled a real bate and switch and once we were already in contract and plans were drawn up, increased the price of the cabinets dramatically.

Thank goodness I went to a more reputable cabinet maker and didn't use Kastel. They refused to return my Deposit forcing me to take them to small claims court. I was vindicated in the lawsuit and They had to return the deposit to me as they misrepresented the quality of the cabinets and did not for fill their obligation.

Replacing the cabinets in my kitchen was the first step in bringing my apartment out of the seventies and into the new millennium. A friend recommended Kastel so I checked out their website. I have to admit, I was a little intimidated. The site screams "luxury" and I'm in a railroad apartment in Greenpoint! But after a consultation they put my mind at ease. They have such a wide spectrum of choices for all types of people. Now I've got beautiful reclaimed wood cabinets, super smooth, super affordable, very 2013. I feel good.

I was extremely nervous about replacing cabinets in my house. Dealing with the professionals at Kastel Kitchen Gallery set my mind at ease. They walked me through each step of the process and left me with the perfect cabinets for my kitchen. I would recommend them to anyone looking to build or remodel their kitchen!

You know you're official old when you start getting worked up and or excited about kitchen cabinets! No longer are they just the place where you stash the Frosted Flakes and Cocoa Puffs, now they are "decor". Where I live is very spacious, but the space wasn't utilized as well as it could be. After several frustrating months of trying to figure out where to store the oat meal and shredded wheat (old people can't eat the sugary cereals anymore), I got an idea.more cabinets!

In the course of my research, I found Kastel Kitchens Gallery, and was drooling over the photos. Liking what I saw, I decided to take the plunge and picked out new cabinets for the kitchen. The cabinets and installation were in price range. They did a great job, and my kitchen looks beautiful. I was very excited when they finished. I must be off now, as it is well past my bed time! :P

I do not know much about home furnishing. I am actually banned from discussing home decorating in 12 states. Fortunately, New York is not one of them as I have to tell you about my experience with Kastel Kitchen. I needed some work done on my apartment, I was really looking to incorporate an old-school library feel, full of books I would never read.

They talked me through a wide-variety of options I had to choose from. I decided on a huge cabinet and new desk/table for the room. At first I did not love the price, but I looked around and saw it was more than competitive throughout the city. The work was completely a few days after our agreement, and it still looks sharp months after. Do your research and due diligence, but definitely consider Kastel Kitchen for any home renovation or improvements you are planning.

I had a pretty hard time deciding who to choose to replace the cabinets in my new kitchen. I had just purchased my first home and through lots of research - Kastel Kitchen popped up and after reading the reviews I decided to go with them. The wife and I now have a great set of cabinets that feel amazing and are very durable. They are extremely modern and well designed as well. Kastel are nothing but pros.

I came across Kastel Kitchen after doing some extensive research. My mother wants to re-do her entire kitchen and she is beyond picky! She is very peculiar and extremely detailed about her wants and needs. Needless to say, we went with Kastel and the service was phenomenal. They were patient, informative, and accommodating. My mother can be a bit difficult to work with (but she has her reasons).

If she is paying for something, she wants it done right! So, Kastel created several designs (so that she could have options), she then picked from a range of cabinetry, and lastly the installation process was stress free! We were so thrilled with the process and would definitely recommend it for anyone else in the market for a kitchen makeover!

Below is a recommendation we gave about 2 months ago to another client of Kastel Kitchen Gallery. 1. When did the job take place and what was the scope of the work done? August 2011-Floor to ceiling rip/replace kitchen -everything including electric/plumbing, cabinets, appliances, backsplash, counter, etc. Replace/redesign laundry room and parts of family room, including design and manufacture of built-in and closets 2.

How long was the construction period? and was it done close to the initial time estimate? Roughly 6 weeks - exactly as expected. It took our decorator longer to get items shipped. 3. Did they make kitchen cabinets for you? and if so can you specifically give us comments on how satisfied you are with the quality? Yes, extremely satisfied. The quality is top notch and the attention to detail is superior. 4. Were you satisfied with the workmanship? and in particular were there any areas where they produced exceptional work or where you were dissatisfied wished they had used a different contractor?

Completely satisfied. The product and labor were flawless - a term rarely used in this line of work. Al was our contractor. If problems did present themselves, Al handled without inconvenience to us. 5. Were there any issues with your building during the construction period (for example clean up problems, damage, access)? Not applicable, we live in a house.

With that said, our neighbors didn't even know we were doing work in our house. Extremely quiet, clean and expeditious. 6. Were there many extra charges during the construction period which you felt were not warranted? No. We were fully aware of all charges and potential charges prior to construction. 7. Did they keep in communication with you during the job and respond to your inquiries in a timely manner? Constant.

I believe my wife spoke to Al more than me during the renovation. 8. Is Al Dobre good at solving problems that occurred during the renovation? Is he imaginative? Extremely. We relied heavily on his judgment, noting our house was already built and posed some tough challenges. 9. Would you trust them to run a job when you are not around to supervise?

We'd trust Al to babysit our kids. He is the most trustworthy person we've ever met in the industry. Top quality and professionalism aside, our ability to trust his work, judgment and cost were the key drivers behind our decision to work with him. 10. Do you feel you got good value? Overall how do you feel about the experience? (and would you use them again)? Terrific value, exceptional experience - we are yet to hear a comparable experience from our friends, family and neighbors.

This was emailed to me by a very happy client of Kastel Kitchen:The headline is after more than a decade of a relationship as contractor and client, when something is wrong, not anything to do with the restoration -he comes to fix it.

This was emailed to me by a very happy client of Kastel Kitchen:The headline is after more than a decade of a relationship as contractor and client, when something is wrong, not anything to do with the restoration -he comes to fix it.he's like my third brother only Al really does fix things More than a decade later and he is still my first call if something is wrong.

It's his ethical sense of work and the craftsmanship that are important to him. He has great people he hires, the designs are always really good and the work is first rate. If it's not on time you know why. You never feel cut off from the process. I would and do hire him for everything without reservation. Television Broadcast Executive Producer

As part of a gut renovation of a duplex apartment, we created an eat-in kitchen by combining a bedroom and a small galley kitchen. With only the constraint of a central water column, we explored several layouts and placements of the cabinets, counters and appliances.
