*Review pending on if Justin decides to do the right thing and finish the project he was paid to do* *Currently getting in touch of news crews and a lawyer* Our excavation started on August 6th, and we still do not have a complete pool. After our PM left the company, we had to work with Justin directly, this is when everything went south quick. He is the absolute worst at communication, and you may have someone show up once every three weeks to do a little bit of work.

The work that has been done so far will all need to be replaced because it was done very poorly. Justin would know this if he took the time to manage the crews and check on their work while they were working. I recently had an inspector come out and point out all the flaws with the work. I have been trying to get ahold of Justin for two weeks with no luck.

He messaged my wife a couple days ago to schedule a call but when we try and get him to come out or take a phone call, he ignores everything. Our coping is not level and uneven, the tile cuts are very poor and some of it is already breaking, the pavers are cut in different sizes and popping off, the concrete is cracking, and the turf installed was an inferior quality than the one we got invoiced for. Justin had invoiced us turf from a high-end company and went and bought cheap material.

Because of the quality of the turf installed the pieces are starting to brown over and the film we had to buy to put on our windows is useless. The film we were told to buy and install was for the Turf at Synlawn and not the cheap stuff Justin went with. We have paid 95% so far and never missed a payment with Justin. The end of October was when we had paid off 95% and since then we still have no pool equipment, no lights installed, plumbing needing to be done, the spa is not finished, the fire pit has not been started on and decking unfinished.

The worst part about all of this is that we will have to redo most of the work that has been done. We are going through the worst experience and cannot sleep at night with how stressed we are. We are very flexible and have been patient with Justin, but he will not give us the time of day to correct the issues or finish the work that he has BEEN PAID TO DO. Justin will ignore us for weeks, then send a couple messages, just to go back to ignoring us.

But don't worry, he had a very good excuse for why he ignored us for two straight weeks when we found out about our turf issue. he was at the rodeo. I expected a slight delay when we changed the scope of our project in September with the decking material and adding turf. However, with payment being 95% done for over four months now, there is no excuse. Justin has NO EXCUSES anymore!

We have been asking for a tile update since December and he has ignored it every time. I am now trying to just at least get my pool equipment from him, but he is ignoring that as well. My guess is that he has no money to buy any of the remaining materials. If anyone wants to reach out to me for proof, pictures, text messages and get the full story behind Justin, just send me a message.

I would love to inform you all about his poor and shady business practices. I am sure Justin will respond to this with some dumb excuse or blame us. This review will be updated or removed completely if Justin can do the right thing.

The worst customer service experience of my life! I can go on and on but I will practice brevity. I was made to feel like I was the problem with everything that went wrong. I was told I was the reason for the company's accounting issues with their third party vendor. I was made to believe I was the problem when employees left the company and didn't complete their task.

I had three subcontractors show up at my door step ( ring video shows entire conversation) demanding I pay them because the owner refused to pay them. One subcontractor threaten my family's safety and we had to call the police and file a harassment report. I paid cash for every service on time. I have written Affidavits from previous employees that outline the problems and issues with J's Pool and SPAs. Beware, stay away unless you like toxic environments and stress.

It's been since May and my project is not 100% completed. He never even submitted the final paperwork to my HOA. Every week we are finding major issues with the structure of the pool, equipment that was installed incorrectly, pool valves that weren't installed. And the list goes on and on. The pool maintenance service team shows up when they feel like it.

So far in a month we had two missed maintenance apps. My pool hasn't been cleaned since December 16th. I'm sure that was my fault too. He will respond to this with the usual blaming of the customer and not take any accountability. Text messages, phones calls, emails will go unanswered. Just take a look at all of the company's Google responses to customer complaints!

I will do everything in my power to ensure justice is served for anyone who had to endure this abuse. Choose wisely, I know I didn't. I should have went with Maddox pools, premier, or platinum. unhappy customer. I had to pay a plumber to come fix the plumbing issues his contractors created. I had to hire an electrician to resolve the electric problems we had with his subcontractors. Now I have to hire a structural engineer to come in.

Justin, I noticed you didn't say we didn't pay after my first Google review a month ago. But you harassed me as soon as that review posted. Full balance was paid. You threatened us with invoices that were not in the contract in retaliation of us posting a negative truthful review of your business practices. You asked us to remove the review and when we didn't comply you sent us invoices and stated that you would do that in the text messages provided.

You did this on two occasions. According to your payment schedule in the contract I paid cash for each service date in full. Your accounts payment company even froze your account because of questionable business practices. Are you going to lie about that as well? Or do you want me to post what intuit emailed me? This is not harassment. This is a customer review. Harassment is sending a customer a bill after they paid for an unfinished project in full out of retaliation of posting a honest review. Harassment is defamation of character and lying about private individuals.

Six figures were paid to you on time the day of each project. Don't come for us. You were blocked and this is your only way to communicate. You need to respond to our attorney's letter. Did you ever pay the plumber? Did you ever pay the original decking subcontractor? Did you answer the plumber's attorney demand letter? Do you provide project management oversight for your jobs? Are you a convicted harasser and stalker?

Do you have a criminal past of lying and stealing? This is all credible information and your past predicts your future. I'm sure every negative review on here is a lie? You can't manipulate Yelp like you do google. BEWARE, stay away from this company. Please do your research and read all reviews from Yelp, BBB, Angie's list and Google.

He threatens his customers to take down bad reviews. If you don't he will send you open invoices saying you owe him for work. Deception trade practices. He has a proven (factual) history of taking advantage of subcontractors. Please look at all the pictures and read all the text messages. You don't want to deal with this type of toxicity and manipulation tactics. Do a thorough background check. STAY AWAY.

Everything went well in beginning. So good I recommended his company to a friend who also hired the company for her pool. Close to finishing, his project manager quit. It then became obvious that the good work was because of her and not him or anyone else. Our plaster looks like my 6 year old did it. Our pool loungers.never arrived. He will say it's the plaster guys fault or whatever. Lies lies lies. It's his company. He's responsible for everything. Messages this man for over a month.

Either no reply or a reply of lies. We will have to redo plaster and put in pool loungers at our own cost even though this company was paid in full. I'm so disgusted by this business. It's really awful what he has done. I will be leaving messages everywhere I can and calling BBB. Don't hire them!

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Value This company doesn't pay his sub-contractors. If you get a pool built by Justin, be sure to get lien releases. Would not recommend!

We had three different pool companies come out, but J's Pools & Spas really listened to our design idea and captured every single detail. Justin implemented and oversaw the construction with meticulous attention to detail. Justin was extremely communicative, and kept us informed of each step, even meeting with us on multiple occasions. Worst service I ever received. First they had to re-schedule my appointment 5 times. Then when they finally show up they do half the job that was paid for and they forgot to instal some equipment that caused my heater to malfunction. When the technician came back to "fix" it. He left and there was a major leak left behind. After contacting them several time I never got a response. Ended up hiring a different company to complete the job.

Very unexperienced and unprofessional. The owner will claim he was not paid in full but the agreentment was 50% up front 50% after the job is complete. The job never got completed and he wanted the money in full. When trying to contact them for 4 weeks with no response from their company or the technician, I had to reach out to someone else to finish the job. After the 4 weeks they tried to reach out to me to get the rest of the money.

Called their company twice in the last couple of months, first for an inspection, and then fix a pool filter issue. Both times said they would call back and then I never heard from them again. If you want someone prompt, and professional go with a more responsive company.

This is my second attempt at a pool service since our pool has been installed. The initial call was great, they have a system where they send a photo of your pool and describe all of the items completed during the visit. Unfortunately, this only happened once. After that there were missed services, no email and recap notifications. I had one of my services missed in August I believe and the owner told me, "well technically in your contract it says there is a week in the summer which is dedicated for our tech to go on vacation".

That is true, technically, but I feel he weaseled his way out of a credit on that one so I let it go. In October I have had two missed services, and the, picture system, they have in place has only happened once or twice. When I tried to contact them to resolve this, I spoke to someone and they were going to get back to me, which they didn't. The next day, which was today, I called and the voicemail was full and couldn't accept any messages.

I did receive an email asking for the best number to reach me at, which is surprising considering I am a customer, but never got a call. The idea and promises are great, I have read some good reviews, but my experience was not this at all. I would highly suggest not to go with this pool service. Very disappointed.

Working with Justin has been such an easy process, he is extremely responsive and attentive. He takes the time to listen to exactly what you're looking for, and adds value with each conversation. I've been waiting for Tristin's reply for almost a month. Besides that, after seeing your reply in my Google review that "my name didn't ring a bell for you", I'm definitely moving forward with another company. Actually it became even worse when I saw a second reply saying that your company has only luxury pools that don't fit in my budget - even though I've NEVER said that.

I would be ashamed in your place. You don't justify "budget" with your lack of professionalism by not even responding to my email. That just goes to show that luxury and high end don't mean quality and respect at all. Thanks god we got your company true colors beforehand. I'll call to the "low end companies" and ask for them to design my "hot tub" which is what I allegedly can "afford". BTW TAKE A LOOK AT PREMIER POOLS TO LEARN HOW TO TREAT CLIENTS THE RIGHT WAY AND HOW TO PROPERLY ENGINEER POOLS!

The design you sent me had an outdoor kitchen in front of the pool stairs - who in their proper Mind would do something like that? If you keep responding with non sense, I have enough spare time to address every little lie.

These Google reviews are not accurate for this business. Do yourself a favor and check yelp reviews on how he actually conducts business. Every 1 star on yelp is 100% accurate. This was my second month with Js pools and he hasn't showed up all month. The 1st month was below par as well. During the first month he brushed the walls 1 time in the 4wks.

I dont think he was adding any chemicals either. Within a couple days after his service I started seeing algea beginning to grow. I have called, texted, and emailed him with no response. His voicemail is always full (probably from all the angry customers). Do yourself a favor and use anyone else besides this guy.

Justin and his business J's Pools & Spas is a joke. He knows just enough to sell you a pool, but doesn't have the money to make it happen and when you, the consumer figure it out, he gets defensive and begins threatening via text messages. After 8 months of pool construction our pool still wasn't finished. No equipment, no plaster, the electrical, tile and plumbing weren't complete and yet Justin refused to set foot back on our property until we paid him in full.

We declined as the job wasn't complete and he attempted to file a lien on our house. Thankfully, we had J's sign lien releases each time we provided a payment to them. We ended up having to pay the plumbers out of pocket as well as other contractors in order to get our job done.

I wished I had done more research prior to hiring Justin and his "team" to build our pool. Long story short it isn't worth it, find another service. After 3 different project managers, numerous contractors claiming they hadn't been paid, 8 months of excuses as to why our pool hadn't been completed, and 4 other clients that were in the same boat we were in.

We stopped the bleeding and finished the pool ourselves, under the direction of another pool company. At the end of the day, Justin Pressler's criminal record with a couple of burglary of habitations, stalking, domestic terrorism and mug shot should have been enough to steer us away from using his services. Like I said, we should have done a better job researching.

This guy is so shady! He's threatening to hinder our house closing all because of a misunderstanding. Who the hell charges $125 for estimated cost WITHOUT VISITING THE SITE?! All you saw was pictures and for that you get reimbursed for $125. Crook like service. Watch out for this guy. Multiple emails and now text threatening. I will also like to report as well.

EDIT: he said he's not threaten us but here are screenshot from text and email that he will be involved with title company and affect closing. WHAT A CROOK AND LIAR over $125 no less of looking at pictures for 10 mins or less

We had major pipes burst, Justin and his guys were able to come out so quickly to assess the damages. They made quick work of the repairs and communicated throughout the time. Very knowledgeable and helpful team to work with. I can't say enough good things about them. I'd recommend them over the people that built our pool. J's really helped us bring our ideas of building our dream pool to reality! The process was smooth and they were so easy to work with, even with our ideas. They had great suggestions and were always willing to help throughout the building process to perfectly coordinate our new pool. Justin and his team were always available to answer any and all of our questions and even popped over to the house in person when needed.

We could not be more pleased with our final result and how seamless the entire process was! I would highly recommend J's to anyone who is looking to build and design their dream pool!

Buyer beware! Read your contracts before signing with this company! I will admit I did not do my due diligance in that deparment. I had to find out the hard way that if they can not make it out on your cleaning day due to the weather you are still responsible for payment. Two weeks in a row it stormed on our cleaning day. They came out for 5 min each week to only test the pool water and clean the skimmers.

I still was responsible for the $50 payment each week. They will not and would not come back out on a seperate day and finish the cleaning. I tried to contact them to discuss the issue and never got a response. Better business practice would be to write in their contract for customers not to be fully charged if the job can not be completed due to the weather.

As customers, we can not control the weather as well. Why should we be responsible for full payment if only half of the service can be completed? Also, if you want to cancel their services get ready to pay a hefty fee of $185! I take full responsibility for choosing this company and am eating the cost. Dont be like me.

This is absolutely THE WORST pool company ever! They have been completely unreliable, rude, and impossible to get in contact with. They left 2 weeks in between cleanings 2 times and left my pool to get algae overgrown and green. I've called them well over 20 times and never get an answer back. I tried to cancel my service and they STILL CHARGED my card. Horrible horrible take your business somewhere else because they should be out of business.

Justin my pool equipment is installed properly. The person taking care of it now has applauded how the work was done. You can try to justify the actions of your service but I know a few things about pools. I am also able to work it just fine. As far as your contract. You did not fulfill your end therefore the contract should have been null and void. No chemicals in my pool was totally unacceptable. Good luck with any new clients you obtain.

My pool was serviced by J's Pools & Spas for nearly 2 years. My experience with this company started off positive, but near the end of last year that changed. The quality of their service started to decrease and my pool was often low on chemicals, even on the report they'd inconsistently send to me via email. Then after they said I would need to rebuild my pool bot, after they had just rebuilt it last year, I decided to cancel my service.

The problem is, they had already taken my pool bot for "repairs". I asked Justin via text message to return the Polaris 280 pool bot to my house, but he said that it was still at the pool supply store. This back and forth went on for over a month without resolution. He made a reference to being sick, but still hasn't followed up on returning my property to me. Don't use this service.

Professional and personalized service second to none. I spent too much time with several Leslie's Pool Supply stores trying to get someone to come out and run a quick and easy diagnostic on our hot tub and pool to no avail. I couldn't even get my name on a schedule. As soon as I called Justin he was able to swing by almost immediately and take care of the entire issue in less than an hour.

Not only did he address my primary issue, but he also took account of other small problems to be addressed if I wished to do so. He was honest and efficient; he did not try and push any unnecessary work on me and just simply let me know what he saw, how to fix it, and left it to me to decide on what to do. Great individual and great business, would recommend to anyone looking for service of the highest care and quality.

This is not a review on their pools because we never received an estimate. Justin Pressler was supposed to show up on Saturday 02/16/19 at 11am. He emailed earlier to say that he had a job to do but he will keep us posted. 11 days later and he never showed up, no email, no phone call, no text message. I guess they have so many new business that they do not need more.

If that was just the estimate appointment imagine how they are when your actual pool is being built. The other 2 companies showed up next Saturday after contacted and we just sign a contract today.

Justin started off great. Answered my phone call and would show up on Fridays. Then he stopped showing up. I would have to text and call him to find out if he was coming to clean my pool. He did not put chemicals in my pool weekly either. He tried to claim that I had a leak in my pump (which was not true)! After three weeks of my pool looking awful, I had another pool service come out and state on their form, there were no chemicals in my pool.

He was drinking Beer on my property while cleaning my pool. He even brought a hfriend with him while he was cleaning my filters. Ridiculous! His contract only benefits him. Do not use this company. He is a one man show. If I could give him zero stars-I would. My response to Justin; I do have money for repairs. I had two pool companies come out And state that I had zero leaks. They Both stated I had Zero chemicals in my pool. Again, be cautious, his contract only benefits him. He is a one man show and Does Not show up on his scheduled appt date.

It takes a lot for me to write a negative review about a service/establishment. Id rather save the energy and time for something fun. However, I would not recommend or use again this pool maintenance service and I'd like to prevent you from making the same mistake. I wish I could say that I had the same "great experience" many of these "reviewers" claimed but I CAN NOT.

The severe lack of professionalism, communication, and quality of service is one of the pit falls of attempting to find reliable home services. It was suppose to be a weekly pool service however multiple weeks were missed without even being alerted of skipped and then rescheduled service. I had to make multiple attempts to reach out to J's Pool & Spa to see why service was skipped and when it would be rescheduled.

With this being said, there is a clause in the contract that states 5 services may be skipped and rescheduled. This "liberty" was used within two months of commencing service. To top off this experience I have contacted via email multiple times to retrieve my gate remote. I was told it was in the mail and I have yet to receive it after two weeks of correspondence. Proceed with caution.

Sadly my review has changed. I'll just leave it at that. Yelp requires a longer review description but I'm not going to bash. I no longer use their service. Justin Your below response is not true. Once again Justin you're not telling the truth at all. My original issue was that my heater was making a loud clanging noise. I repeatedly had to ask your service tech and you to come check on it so we could use our spa.

You finally replaced some parts in it and yet it still made the clanging noise. So I asked you to come back out and check on the loud clanging noise. I even sent you video showing that it wasn't fixed right after you said it was fixed. You got mad because you assumed I wasn't going to pay you. I never withheld payments from you and I NEVER made any monthly payments to you for anything.

You offered and it was discussed but it never happened. You are lying about that. You got really nasty when you assumed I might not pay you. Once I determined that you were not going to be honorable and come back out to see why my heater was still making the loud noise I decided to pay you in full and find a new pool service. Even after I paid you in full you kept harassing me even calling me names.

Below you can see my bank's monthly payments to you. The worst I ever did to you was to forget for two or three months to add your price increase into my auto payments from my bank. I apologized for that and you said it was no big deal. If you choose to post our communications just make sure you include them ALL. I'm fine with that.

J's Pool and Spa took on a really bad algae outbreak in my pool last summer. They cleaned it completely at a fair price and on time. I retained them to maintain the pool as they provide regular dependable service at a great price. My pool troubles are no more thanks to J's Pools & Spas and their friendly crew. As well as a pleasure to work with.

J's Pools provided superior service from start to finish. I contacted dozens of pool service companies and J's was not only the only one to respond, but they responded in minutes from my query. J's provided a very detailed free estimate and once I gave then the go ahead they arrived the very same day. They ran into some problems during the repair that took them extra time but they held to the original bid and worked over the weekend to have my pool ready for a party the next day. I would highly recommend them and appreciate having a pool service partner so readily available.

We learned of J's Pools & Spas from recommendations using the Nextdoor App. From my first interaction with Justin to present we have been incredibly satisfied. We had a huge job adding a spa and all new decking to an existing older pool. He told us it would take right around three weeks. His timeline was right on. There has been activity happening almost non stop since he started. We love our new pool and spa! We highly recommend J's Pools & Spas!

On the recommendation of Justin we purchased the LED lighting system, the Hayward Omnilogic (which is total control of your pool and spa from anywhere you have you phone/I pad) it is superior!

I am so glad I found J's Pools & Spas. Justin and his team are wonderful to work with. They are prompt, professional, and great at communicating when a schedule change is necessary. My pool has never looked better.

My wife and I were using a competitors pool service for 4 plus years. The service, and the price were inconsistant. He wouldn't keep his apponintment, and the price would change with the weather. This pool service was a more like a mob shake down. We responded to an add by JS Pools And Spas.

J's Pools and Spas has been servicing our pool for about a year and we are very happy with their service. Justin is always very professional. Our previous pool company was impossible to get a hold of, but Justin is quick to respond and is always available. Our pool is consistently sparkling clean even during our recent harsh Houston summer. not a single bit of algae or growth.

Justin was AMAZING at helping with a back flow issue into my pool - He found - when no one else could - the exact cause of why air was getting into my filter! I've had new jets replaced - and ended up not liking them.

I've been working with J's Pools & Spas and I have been incredibly impressed. They are extremely professional and go above and beyond to make sure my pool is properly cared for. They keep our pool sparking, and they are also very knowledgeable about all the equipment- pumps, cleaners, filters, etc.- Whenever we have questions, they have answers!
