I highly recommend this company. They were friendly, responsive, and thorough. We were getting mice in our kitchen every night. Our tech explained everything he was doing, filled many gaps in our very old house's basement, and did even more two weeks later during the free follow up visit. They started with a consultation in which they inspect the house and explain their recommendations.
What I loved is that they were so flexible with me. I am moving (we rent) and they arranged only the services I needed set up arrangements for the landlord if he wants to follow up. The best part is that it worked! No more mice inside. When the tech came two weeks after he put the bait around the house he could see they ate it and replaced what was eaten.
The bait dehydrates the mice and they go outside for water and then die in about 45 minutes. I thought they were coming in due to the weather change and I had been catching them in a humane trap and releasing them in a nearby field but the droppings and eating food led me to a different solution. This company is also very competitive price-wise. I looked at several and they are similar or cheaper with better customer service.

Our technician was on time and extremely fast. Our main concern was outside and not only was that handled swiftly, we got advice for the products that we tried on our own and how they would interact with what the technician was using. Dwayne is awesome! He is always chipper and happy to be here. He goes above and beyond what's expected and he laughs at all my jokes. My kids joke that he's the other family member that just appears randomly in rooms every now and then. He is very knowledgeable about insects and knows how to find those buggers. Pun intended. I've been using Hughes for years for pest control. When I first moved to NOVA, I researched extermintors & found Hughes to offer the same service as the chain companies, but for much less. They even have "organic" peppermint spray for quarterly service. They are punctual, professional, & pleasant. Had a problem with ants, but Hughes came out quickly & got rid of the ants as part of my quarterly service. Highly recommend!

Danette in Customer Service is professional, prompt, responsive and makes an unpleasant situation easy to deal with! After getting a confusing quote and non-contract "contract" from Terminix I contacted this local company for a rental property I own. They were exactly the opposite-- clear, pleasant, worked with my tenant directly for treatment options, billing was clear and timely etc. If you are calling an exterminator, you are not happy. This company does a great job trying to make the experience as painless as possible!
