Attic Solar Fan
Report
A solar attic fan uses photovoltaic panels convert sunlight into electrical power. The electricity generated is used to turn fan motor, exhausting air from the attic of a home. In summer, temperatures in an unventilated attic can exceed 160 degrees. A properly sized solar attic ventilation system will reduce attic temperature to 5-10 degrees above the outdoor temperature.
Blown Insulation
Report
Heat travels from a warm area to a cool area by a combination of conduction, convection, and radiation. Heat flows by conduction from a hotter location within a material or assembly to a colder location, like the way a spoon placed in a hot cup of coffee conducts heat through its handle to your hand.

Thermal Hot Water
Report
Cold water from the home's regular water line is pumped to the roof where it enters the thermal energy collector. Sunlight strikes the collector, and the sun's heat warms the water. The heated water then comes back into the home or business inside. Inside, the warmed water from the roof is collected in a solar holding tank, which has temperature sensors and other mechanisms.
Solar Panels
Report
Solar panel electricity systems, also known as solar photovoltaic (PV), capture the sun's energy using photovoltaic cells. These cells don't need direct sunlight to work-they can still generate some electricity on a cloudy day. The cells convert the sunlight into electricity, which can be used to run household appliances and lighting.
