I don't think I've ever had such fond feelings for a company! I've been working with Homesense this week and it has been a roller coaster for me and they have been so helpful through the whole thing. To make a long story short I thought my ac broke 2 days before the hottest day of the year and I was going to have to replace my whole unit. Jason was able to come out the next day and give me a quote and schedule time for the replacement.

After Jason left it was brought to my attention that my AC unit had been tampered with and with an easy fix we were back in business. When I mentioned to Jason he was so understanding. We agreed to have one of their techs come out to take a look. Chuck was so great and did a thorough job assessing and gave it AC a clean bill of health. So many times in these situations I feel ill equipped to speak intelligently on the subject and leave it up to the pros to help. Instead of doing what was best for them in the situation they looked out for me and in turn made a life long customer. Thank you Jason and Chuck!

Love HomeSense. We have had Carrie, Darren and now Kasey all of which are amazing. You can't go wrong with them. They are knowledgeable and hard working, but most of all they take the time to listen and understand your wants/needs. Getting ready to install our second unit with them and we can't wait to have them remove our 15 yr old Carrier unit and replace with a Daikin. Highly recommend!

I was so pleased with the response time in getting our AC up and going! Within 24 hrs, we had professional service. Our tech Darren called with his ETA, arrived on time. He was very professional, engaging, and honest. He provided us education on our needed repairs. He also did not do or charge for unnecessary repairs which shows his and the company's integrity. I would definitely recommend Homesense for any heating and cooling needs, 5 stars hands down!

This is the second furnace and air conditioner that we have bought from Homesense. Both times, I felt they gave us good counsel in selecting an appropriate unit for our house, their prices were fair, the technicians who come and help install the units are always professional, friendly, and have always been kind to our family including our infant daughter and our small dog. Forget just HVAC companies, Homesense is probably the easiest company we work with in any facet of our lives. Highest possible recommendation to them.

They worked nonstop to install our new AC system and were very professional. Definitely recommend. They gave us a very reasonable estimate price wise and had us scheduled for installation quickly. I have always had a great experience with Homesense and Kary is the main contributor that. He's always on time, if not early, super kind, our dog loves him, and he keep our HVAC system running top notch while not trying to "find something wrong" every time he comes out like we have experienced with other companies. The two guys that came to my house were great! They provided an honest opinion on what did and did not need to be done. I have always trusted and loved using Homesense and they continue to go above and beyond in service. Our heating stopped working, and although they couldn't not come out for another day, Chuck called to have us try a few things so we wouldn't have to endure a cold night without heat. This also meant potentially not needing him to come out at all. Although his suggestion worked, we still had him come out to do some maintenance on our unit. If you want trustworthy and honest work, Homesense is the place to go!

An obscure part on our heating system went out unexpectedly before Thanksgiving. Kary was over in an hour on a Saturday. The first time I used Homesense was out of nessesity - the other company I called had an 8 day wait to get appointment to fix my A/C. It was going to be 90+ those days! I called Homesense and they could get me in. *that* day! Woohoo! On top of that the service was great. They send you a text with a photo, small bio, and qualifications of your assigned tech.

You also get a text and phone call when the tech is on their way. Very professional and friendly. There's no up-selling but instead will inform you of your options and potential issues down the road. Again, no pressure. So when my furnace acted up this week I called Homesense first. My info was stored with my phone number so it was super easy.

They actually had a cancellation in the area so a tech was at my door 10 minutes after I called! The same great service was provided at reasonable prices. Very refreshing to work with a service company that actually provides great service and clearly wants to do the customer right.

A couple months ago, I had an issue with my AC and Homesense was very quick to respond. They fixed the problem at a reasonable cost. During that visit I signed up for them to do the yearly check ups on the unit. Today they came and checked out the furnace. They sent a text and email detailing who my technician would be, and I received a phone call letting me know they were on the way.

In the past when I have had other companies come out for the same routine service, they have tried to sell me other items or tell me about issues I wasn't experiencing. Homesense did not try to do either of those things and were in and out quickly. I highly recommend them!

My neighbor suggested Homesense, and I'm very grateful he did. I appreciated the easy scheduling, availability (out the next day after I called), and text reminder. I loved the e-mail to introduce the technician (including name and picture) before arrival. Our tech, Kary, was great - knowledgeable, kind, and a good teacher. He explained what was needed and taught me just enough about my HVAC unit.

He was very transparent with cost as he worked, with quote in-hand on an iPad, and it was easy to pay. He was so respectful in our home and was tolerant and kind to our hyper dog. The preventative maintenance program makes sense and is worth it to us. Thank you, Kary! I highly recommend Homesense.

Homesense replaced our heat & a/c 3 years ago and have been nothing but great the entire experience. We've hired them to do regular maintenance and check-ups and they are always prompt, efficient, and super friendly. Chuck has been my assigned technician from the start and is the nicest guy, and has a mutual love with my dog, who is always very excited to see him. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

Homesense was a joy to work with from quote through install. Drew worked hard to understand our needs and get us a good quote and prompt timeline for the work. We felt heard and well informed through the 3 day install and removal process and cannot thank Andy and Ben enough for their thorough and beautiful work. We have a small ~1,100 SF Bungalow and had the entire central heating and air removed and a 4 head mini split system installed.

The system is clean (no forced air!), efficient, quiet and does not take up much room at all. We love it so far and I can highly recommend working with Homesense for your heating and cooling needs!. They are our local neighbors and treated us as such! If you haven't looked into a mini split system for your small home or additions, garage, workshop etc. take the opportunity to investigate this heating and cooling solution.

Homesense came out to take a look at our system. We had multiple leaks that caused us to lose all of our refrigerant. Nightmare. Chuck DeLong was our technician and he was extremely cool. Super friendly and explained everything to us. We'll definitely be calling Homesense the next time we have an HVAC concern.

We have used homesense many times dating back to when they first started their business. These guys are professional. The tech always shows up on time. They are honest and they won't try to screw you for every penny they can get out of you. If they were to do that they would quickly find that their customer base quickly would disintegrate and all their top payers would go to other HVAC companies. Once you find good customers - keep them by providing quality service for a reasonable price. I trust them and would use them again.

I made an appointment with these guys to get my AC and furnace cleaned and tuned up. The first guy only did the AC, despite being told he was going to do both. The second appointment was scheduled for today, a friend stayed at my home and waited for over 3 hours, after I received an email stating he would be there between 15-30 minutes. No one ever showed up!

It took nearly 45 minutes to get a response. At which time, that person told me the guy was still at the previous job. They will not do the job after 5, they should be more flexible with this rule since they didn't complete or do their job for the second time! Now I have to take unpaid pto and receive a write up so my furnace can be done. Why am I dealing with this?

It took them missing another appointment at that time. That was August. I have only had my heat running for 2 or 3 weeks, I'm never home and use electric blankets. The furnace has been squealingI have been contacting them and trying to follow up about this problem. I would expect them to check it out at a reduced rate to back up their work but no. It's taken over a week and they won't check it out.

I checked out BBB and was not surprised to discover this to be their regular practice. I filed a consumer complaint with the Attorney General. They did send a guy out after this post. He spent maybe 10 minutes and told me it would be around $600. I got a second opinion and it cost $100 because a small piece needed replaced, not the entIre blower motor. The other company said they get calls AB bout stuff like that all the time

When my A/C went out in mid-August this year, I was quick to give Homesense a call. I've known one of the owners for ages, but have lived on the West Coast for the last decade and never had a chance to use his services. My misfortune turned into a good deal, and I even found a discount on Yelp. I specifically avoided dropping names, because I wanted to be a "mystery shopper" and see how good this guy's team really is. Homesense was quick to return my call, and had someone out within 24 hours to take a look.

The technician (Kary) was super-friendly, and the company was good with sending emails and texts to stay in good communication at all times. The job ended up being quick, and Kary pointed out that many companies would try to upsell me on a new A/C system since mine is 15 years old. He said I didn't need it, but encouraged me to service it regularly since he could tell from my system that I was a "full time" HVAC user. Yes, as a California native I survive in the Midwest by transitioning seamlessly from heating to A/C and back again as the seasons change. with no break in between.

The price was reasonable, they honored my coupon even though I didn't print it out, and had multiple options for payment. They even sent me an email survey as follow-up to make sure I was happy with the service. Needless to say, I was impressed from start to finish. Couldn't be happier with the process or the results, and will definitely use them again!

In 2016 we had Homesense install a new A/C unit though it seemed to work our house was always humid. We assumed it was just the poor insulation in our walls and learned to deal with it. They came out twice to inspect but never seemed to check the actual A/C unit, just the furnace. To be fair, they could have checked the A/C without us noticing but I dont think so. Let's fast forward to August 2019.

I called Homesense because our A/C started making a loud noise and seemed to be running more than it should. I left a message and no one called me back. The following week I called again and left a second message explaining again about our A/C making a loud noise and that we were wondering about our extended warranty that we had purchased. Again, no one got back to us. Finally, we called another company who came out and checked our A/C and explained that it was way, way, way overcharged.

This other company thinks it's probably been overcharged since day one, back in 2016. Also, our compressor was bad. We were able to still use our warranty and get our unit fixed (no thanks to Homesense who had still not returned my calls). Now my house has A/C that actually works and our house is no longer humid! I wish I would have went with the other company initially and then we wouldn't have spent the last 3+ years with a brand new A/C unit that wasn't installed properly.

Might I add I was pregnant most of that time and hated being at home because of the humidity. So frustrating. So there, if they would have called me back I would have added more stars but no. I have little ones and it's summer, take care of your customers. Even if your schedule is booked have the curteousy to call someone back.

Because of my condensation drainage pipe not functioning properly, my home has damage on the ceilings of two rooms. I called Homesense Heating and Cooling, knowing exactly what the problem was and asked to make an appointment. The woman on the phone took my information, including address, phone number, email, and more, and stated that someone would call me within the next few hours.

That was Wednesday morning at 9am. Today is the following Monday. I'm not sure if they'd do great work, but I do know I had to go with a different company because they didn't call me back. It's definitely disappointing after having called them because of their good reviews on here putting them at #1. Maybe they live up to that when they call back, but I'll never know.

One word SERVICE- something missing these days and delightful surprise. We have had many contractors and suppliers come work on our home and the one thing grossly lacking was customer service. To me that makes all the difference. They came out when they said they would and Chuck was transparent and honest about our options and extremely knowledgable about HVAC.

We had another company that was due to come out for a quote, but due to Chuck Delong and his exceptional service I didn't even care about the other quote and went with a new AC unit from Home Sense same day at our request. I am confident that we will be well taken care of moving forward and that security is very important to us and gives Home Sense a leg up on not just other HVAC companies but most other companies in Indy in unrelated fields.

As a former business owner i can testify that word of mouth is absolutely the best advertising ( and the worst if you don't come across with the value ). I recommend Home Sense highly and will be recommending them in the future to anyone who has HVAC needs. Mike C

EDIT: they finally were able to get the AC system working after two more visits. Thanks to Darren and his amazingly hard work. I'm still disappointed that I didn't receive calls or texts back when I tried to contact them, but because of Darren and his kindness/understanding/compassion I felt like I was taken care of. He is a truly important part of this company and because of him I'm changing my rating from 2 stars to 4. I'm truly disappointed because I started out with a positive experience when I first called this company for a second opinion on a broken furnace.

Such a positive experience that I ended up ordering a new furnace and AC from them a few weeks ago. However, since installation it has been nothing but problems. Our thermostat keeps breaking and we've had someone out 4 times now to try and fix it. Still not fixed! To make it worse twice I've called the emergency number because it was broken after hours.

No one called me back either time. So here I am still with a broken thermostat and it's 75. You'd think when paying almost 12k for a new ac/furnace there'd not be all these problems and certainly better customer service. So disappointed.

I've had a tune-up and a $700 duct cleaning from Homesense, both of which went wrong. Normally with such a botched job I would give one-star, but they generally had good attitudes through it and tried to remain professional so 2 stars. I didn't want to leave a review for my appointment from 3 months ago, but they are still nagging me for reviews and surveys, so here goes: Tune-up: I had a regular tune-up appointment when during the tune-up they broke my HVAC in the middle of winter.

They blamed it on a bad humidifier, but it was clear the tech shorted my board out. After I took pictures of what happened and called them again, a second tech came out to replace the logic board for free. The second tech didn't know how to program a Nest correctly and I noticed both my AC and heat were running at the same time after he left.

I called them again to come fix it. They tried to blame my HVAC and said it might cost me for the repair. After some arguing, they came out and rewired my AC for a third time. Fixed finally. but it turned out nothing was ever wrong with my ac. Duct-cleaning: They cleaned all my ducts but rushed the job and coated every room in the house with dust from the vents.

Not sure if it was intentional bait-switch but the pricing communicated over the phone was roughly $300 less than what they made me pay at the end. Other thoughts: They complain about Nest and other e-thermostats. It's 2019 and energy companies are practically giving them away. Might be a good time for HVAC techs to stop complaining and start learning something new. My appointment was 3 months ago, now please leave me alone!

Chuck and Andy came out to my house to clean the air ducts. They were thorough, cleaning out every vent. Chuck even noticed our whole-house humidifier had somehow been shut off, and was nice enough to turn it back on, because #winter. They came when they said they would, and did a great job. Chuck was even kind enough to look under a bed for us to make sure all of our cats were accounted for before opening one of the outside doors. Chuck and Andy were great and very friendly.

Of course.it's only the second coldest day of the year and the heat is OUT at my moms home. Fortunately my brother and I were able to assist her with the problem until we realized, OH NO!, it's still not working! I called Homesense Heating and Cooling for help since they put the system in 2.5 years ago. Called the office and got the after hours service, they took my info and said someone would be calling me soon to assist. Well, it wasn't more than 3 minutes and Mandy called!

She did a great walking me through some help tips. Although we couldn't get the system working, she set up an appointment for first thing the next morning. (And yes, we did have Mom spend the night at my brothers home!) Kary was dispatched and arrived a few minutes early and immediately went to work on the issue! Great help, suggestions, and courteous service, he was able to install our new thermostat, get things operating, system programmed properly and heat pouring out of the vents!

What more could anyone ask for? Well, with this company, their customer service and their techs, you can't ask for anything better! You need your heating and cooling done right? Then call Homesense Heating and Cooling! Many thanks to everyone there! You all ROCK! Great Job!

We just had our first visit from Homesense. Such a great experience! Chuck made sure I understood how our unit works, what to watch out for and even changed the filter for me and took the dirty one with him. When explaining to me what a strange noise was I've been hearing he told me what to expect cost wise so it if breaks we can start saving for it now. So happy with our first service appointment and will definitely be recommending Homesense to all of my friends and family.

We have used Homesense exclusively since moving into our 1958 Cape Cod. We purchase their service plan each year for service 2 times per year. It came in particularly handy on the coldest day of the year, 6 degrees (also 3 days after bringing our first child home). Brian, the owner, is very active in the community and cares deeply about customer service.

We called at 7:30 in the morning and they were able to have a tech to our home between 10-1. Dustin arrived at 10 to inspect the issue and determined that our 20 year old furnace had indeed bit the dust. Dustin rearranged his day, made a ton of calls to find replacement parts, but ultimately determined that we should buy a new unit. We felt that the price was very fair, especially considering the last minute need. Dustin and John were at our home all afternoon installing the new unit, including work outside for a new exhaust. It's 8 pm and they just left.

After learning that we had a brand new baby at home, Dustin indicated that there was no way he could leave us in a lurch. He absolutely went above and beyond today to ensure that our home was warm by bedtime. It's also important to mention that for our service call this year, when scheduling I mentioned that we needed it done before Baby arrived--not only did they accommodate, but Ashley from the office sent us a congratulatory card in the mail.

To say that I am very pleased with Homesense would be an understatement. My furnace stopped working and I called another company to come out and look at it. After approximately 10-15 minutes, the tech told me that I either needed a very expensive part or a new furnace.

Yet another successful homeowner resource found via Yelp! Thanks for keeping me in-the-know and making it easy fellow Yelpers. The scoop: My heating system was no longer running - I was closing in on day 4 of 54 degrees in the house and finally had a chance to pull the plug and schedule a visit. I called at 8 a.m. to be greeted by a friendly Homesense employee and by 4 p.m. Steve, my filter savior, had arrived.

I won't go into the embarrassing details of what was wrong with my system (lesson learned), but I will say there was a certain confidence and professional casualness about Homesense that made me feel both comfortable and happy with every step of the process. In the end, I ended up opting to sign up for their one year service contract that comes with two cleaning/service visits (bonus: they call me to set up the appointments.knowing how time gets away from me this was a big simple yet big perk). Overall a fantastic visit and experience. I now have my first plumber (Hope) via Yelp and heating/ac (Homesense) - - - my big girl shoes are officially on.
