The Henderson tradition started in 1919 when a young entrepreneur by the name of Harry Henderson organized Henderson Electric Company to supply products and equipment to the emerging electrical contracting business in Louisville, Kentucky. Throughout the roaring twenties and the depression era of the thirties, Henderson Electric Company transformed its electrical supply operation into a full service electrical contracting business.

The tumultuous events of World War II and the need for expanding industrial capacity helped establish Henderson Electric as a prominent local electrical contractor with the potential of performing complicated projects in a timely, cost efficient manner.
