John Z. Duling opened Duling Tree Expert Company in 1954. John was a nationally-known and highly respected figure in the field of arboriculture. As past president of the International Society of Arboriculture, the Tree Care Industry Association, and the Indian Arborist Association, his expertise and knowledge in the industry made him a well-known and sought after speaker for many years.

He ran Duling Tree Expert Company until his retirement in 1992. Eric Gillette formed Gillette Tree and Landscape in 1983, operating separately from Duling Tree Expert Company until combining in 1992 to provide a broader spectrum of services to homeowners in the Delaware, Madison, and Blackford County areas.

Eric Gillette is a certified arborist, which means he went to school to learn about trees and knows his subject well. I hired Eric for some tree work last year. I got two other bids. Eric's bid was the cheapest. If you want someone who knows what he's doing, he's the guy to call.

We have used Gillette several times to cut back trees along our long driveway. The rate is very reasonable, considering that it would take months to do ourselves. They have also trimmed our fruit trees, around 20 different varieties of fruits, and did an outstanding job. They were recommended to me by a master gardener, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for outstanding results for a fair price.
