Five Star Painting

Five Star Painting did a fabulous job on my interior. They were clean and on time. Thank you guys!

Find a different company. The paint job was AWFUL initially - crooked lines, white spots, visible brush strokes. Also the painter put a hole in my wall. They sent the same guy back to fix it despite me specifically asking for a different person. He put another hole in the wall, broke a door frame, and splattered paint on my carpet this time. I found them to be very disrespectful of my new home, and while they eventually fixed the paint job and cleaned up, the service was utter garbage, with a nonchalant attitude as well. Don't make the same mistake I did.

I hired 5 Star Painting based on the reviews & I was not disappointed! My kitchen is not large & it really needed brightening up. The maple cabinets needed to be transformed. The guys came on a Monday, took away all the doors & drawer facings. On Tuesday they spent the majority of the day expertly taping everything off then the 1st coat was. applied.

The 2nd coat was applied about 2-3 hrs later. Wednesday they reinstalled all facings & hardware. The crew was professional, friendly & explained every step of the process. I couldn't be happier with the results! I highly recommend 5 Star Painting!

TLDR would never hire again: horrible service, still doing repairs on my own after they "finished", discourteous, ex: repeatedly leaving every lights on over night. I wanted to be able to write a review saying that while the customer service was abysmal, they did good work, but that was not the case here. I honestly don't know where to start! I. hired 5 Star to do a big job, in their words a "tremendous amount of work".

The scope was to skim coat and paint all of the walls in a 634 sq ft apt, and paint the ceiling. There was some drywall work, and I requested help with a couple of pieces of wood framing a window that needed to be removed for additional cost. My major complaints are: *.

Initially a rough start with some confusion about start time and paint, However, these matters were quickly and professionally resolved. Employees were courteous and clean. They did an excellent job. They were supposed to paint my home on appointment date 8/25/21. Painter left at 9am to get paint and never called and no showed the entire day. House never got painted. Talked to coordinator Alex and she offered to extend the job to Friday as she confirmed she did not hear from him and no paint has been purchased. I declined because you've already wasted enough of my time and very unprofessional. I shouldn't have to chase you for a service I'm paying for.

We just used Five Star in Howell NJ, it was the best decision we made all year! Scott R. was wonderful in helping us from start to finish, the team he sent into our home was so professional, from protecting my furnishing and floors to cleanup and timing. We would never use anyone else.

They came to paint and did barely any prep. They didn't take the vent covers off when painting the ceiling and got paint all over my light fixtures and ceiling fan. When painting the doors they didn't even paint the whole door. There are blatant areas that they missed around the door handles and the baseboards/door frame. The entire time they were. here they complained the entire time about the paint.

Your job is to paint my house, not complain about the product. When they were finished for the day they just left without cleaning up after themselves. It took me over an hour to clean and to my surprise, the paint job was horrific. They had to come back to "fix" the job, which only left me more.

The estimator told me my deck job would require 5-6 days of labor to complete. I believe that was his attempt to justify the $5952 he would charge me for the labor. Still, for that amount I expected a crew of workers that would do a flawless job. The crew of one plus a helper were on the job less than nine hours and cut several corners. They. also had to be told by the home owner items that were on the work order/contract that they would not have taken care of if the homeowner were not checking on their work.

I paid the man because I signed the contract but definitely believe I was ripped off and told him it was obvious he over-bid the job. He responded with double-talk and did not deduct anything from the final invoice.

They came in took all the wallpaper down and removed the carpet. They also disposed of all waste materials. Friendly and courteous, great team. They did an amazing job on the painting of the room. We would gladly use them again when it is time to get the whole house done. 5 stars. Thanks, Five Star Painting.

It all started pretty good and I was happy with their work until they left. That's when I realized there were paint marks on cabinets, countertops, sofa which I had to clean up painstakingly. On the very last day the workers were let go by the project mangers before they could finish cleaning the dirt they left on the floors everywhere. I also realized that part of one door was not painted but the project manager worked with the workers to come back and finish the remaining work.

And the worst part is they used my front yard to clean up their paint brush etc with paint thinner which killed a large patch of the grass. Now I have to re-sod that patch because it's looking horrible. There's a large white patch of paint marks in the middle of my front yard.

A crew from Five Star Painting just finished painting walls, ceilings and trim in my house, and made some repairs to drywall. It looks beautiful. Highly recommended! Neat, orderly and on time! It's like living in a new house!

One of their supervisors named Milton Gittens is rude and unprofessional.10/10 would NOT recommend.

I was lied to and outright cheated and now the company will not honor their warranty

The salesman was super nice and so was the crew who came out to paint our cabinets. After they left we noticed the cabinets had different sheen to them. Some had shiny spots others were dull looking. I let them know and they said to let it "cure" for a week. then they said let it "cure" for 2 more weeks. then finally they came back out and noticed they had not looked any better after they "cured" for 3 weeks. as a matter of fact some of the cabinets paint had chipped off.

After 5 weeks they came back out to fix them. They brought the boss to have a look before they did the work and I was told that I was blowing the different sheen's out of proportion and it wasn't that bad. of course this made my blood pressure go up and I said that I didn't think I was blowing it out of proportion and asked the crew if they could see what I was talking about. of course they could because we had discussed it when they came to look at them the first time.

Yesterday they did fix the paint drips (there were many), paint chips (mostly around the door handles), and the few cabinets that were missing paint (the side of the doors where the sprayer missed). They look better and I am thankful the painter fixed the areas that were a different sheen even though the boss said I was making it a bigger deal than it was. Over all they did an okay job. not great and defiantly not worth the cost.

Loren was my PM and kept me updated every step of the way! He was great with communication and accuracy. I painted my whole house including baseboards, which were added last, and they still completed it in the 3 day originally quoted time frame. Daniel was a one man crew and he was fast, precise and clean! I would definitely request Loren and Daniel both again and plan to when I do my exterior. I have never been more satisfied with a contractor than I am with 5 Star!

The quote was very reasonable. It was quite an undertaking, we needed to have several wooden pieces replaced and they did a good job repairing a hole in the garage door. Workers were polite and respectful and cleaned behind themselves each day they were on property.

I could not be more pleased with the work that Nathan and his team at Five Star Painting completed for me at my home. They arrived exactly when they said they would and did an exceptional job! There was a great attention to detail on every level. Extremely professional! I would highly recommend using them on your next project!

We are very pleased with the work completed by the painting crew from Five Star Painting. Our initial conversations started first with Jim and then Luis. Both were very responsive to our inquiry and were able to meet our needs on how quickly we wanted the work done. Our painting crew arrived on time on the day the work was to be completed.

Painters were very neat and did a great job! They had very little to touch up at the end of the job. They swept and cleaned up after each day and were very helpful moving some furniture back in place. Everyone is very friendly and great customer service!

Outstanding Customer Service! We had our initial meeting on a Saturday evening. (Yes, Saturday) Had a meeting on the following Monday to discuss colors and the job was finished on Tuesday. I can't tell you how happy I am to have found 5 Star Painting! I will use them again and recommend them to anyone.
