Moved into my house built by Ferrier in January 2016. Have pumped well over 35,000$ into keeping this house functional in less than 5 years between out of my own pocket and home warranty money (that required multiple inspections/bids and application fees paid for out of my own pocket). Builder rep came at 3 months and 6 months and acted as if they were going to make things right (foundation failure/drainage issues) and never delivered. Defects were obvious. front door was pinned shut, cracks in drywall, significant drainage issues in side and back yards.

Buyer beware they do not stand by their products! All you will get is a finger pointing game of how its not their fault "it is someone they subcontracted" or perhaps you will get a rude diagram like I did made with colored pencil that points the blame at anyone but themselves. I hope by leaving this review I at least deter one person from making the same poor decision I made and buying a house built by them. Lousy customer service, and no follow through!

Ferrier Builders just completed a remodel of our master bathroom and we couldn't be happier with the results. They were very professional and responsive. Our main contact was Byron and he kept us informed of the plan and notified us immediately if anything changed. He also check in on the work daily and answered any questions we had. The sub-contractors they used were great.

They were all on time for the work they did and each did a fantastic job and seemed to care about the quality of the service they were providing. They weren't just going through the motions and doing the bare minimum. We would definitely recommend using Ferrier to anyone and will use them again ourselves on our next remodel (kitchen).

I had an excellent experience with Ferrier Custom Homes. I selected Ferrier specifically because I wanted an energy efficient home with a modern look. Before signing on, I was able to meet a former client and see his house. Building a custom home is filled with so many variables. Many things do not go according to plan, however I found that Don and his team repeatedly educated me on the process and set my expectations.

It is a huge undertaking to coordinate the design and then the construction of a custom home and I marveled at how well the Ferrier team did their jobs. I found the entire team to be 1) organized 2) prompt 3) extremely knowledgeable and 4) honest. I believe their pricing is fair and reasonable and the quality of the work was very good. I could not have asked for a better experience.

I have been in my home for over a year now and I am serious when I say that each day I say to one of my family members how much I love our house. Things I love: beautiful design, functional layout/floorplan, glass doors and windows (placed for prime lighting, energy efficiency and strategic air flow), solar panels, rainwater catchment system, safe room, interior and exterior paint, cabinet hardware & fixtures, shower glass & mirrors, modern and functional cabinets, energy efficient appliances, concrete flooring, 3 outdoor patio areas, modern lighting, beautiful landscaping.the list goes on and on. Consider me a satisfied customer and one who would definitely recommend the Ferrier Custom Homes team.

Premier energy efficient custom home builder. They know more about the ins and outs of house zero energy use or energy efficiency homes than the half dozen other builders we talked to in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. They tell you what makes sense economically too, quite a rarity. In addition they coordinate designing the house as well the other trades needed for completion. Don and Heather make quite a team. My only complaint is that they are so focused on an efficient and well organized process that it is a bit overwhelming at times.

It seems like they do very good work, unfortunately you will be paying out the nose for it.

As I neared retirement and the prospect of a fixed income, my wife and I were looking for ways to control costs. Building a high performance, energy efficient home seemed like a reasonable approach. This also fit within our efforts to live responsibly and leave as small a carbon footprint as practical. Ferrier Custom Homes has helped us achieve this.

I always thought sustainable building was a nice idea, but it would be too expensive for me, until I saw an article about Heather's house out in Weatherford. I liked the idea that it was both green and affordable. Your website really backed up that idea, and the philosophy expressed there fit with what I was looking for in a builder.

Spiral gives off the old-fashioned, mid-century diner vibe, with roomy black vinyl booths, Formica-topped bar, chrome stools and black-and-white houndstooth-patterned tablecloths. The pale sprout-green walls reflect coolly in the silver stamped-tin ceiling. A vintage chandelier hangs over a larger booth at the back. The ambience is groovy-mellow.

This home is a project that the majority of the population wouldn't even think of getting involved with. However, we see past the years of disrepair & neglect and see a diamond in the rough. The reality is that there are millions of existing homes in America that need improvement.

Our main motivation was for energy efficiency for the long term. We want to be able to retire and not have to be worried about high utility costs. We would like to be as self sufficient as possible. One of the reasons we chose Ferrier was the knowledge we felt you have in getting us what we want.
