EcoPure Restoration

We had a water link in the kitchen after a week's vacation. I was referred to Ecopure by a plumber. I didn't compare with any other services based on all these high ratings on yelp. But I SHOULD have. Have you heard about the terms "overhead" and "profit"? Well, I just had a vague idea that these will be the extra fees for a contractor who will perform the work of rebuild.

What happened to us was that Ecopure sent an estimate to our insurance company with the demand of the check written to Ecopure (instead to the home owners). After the insurance inspected the damage, they issued us the check with a lower amount.

I called the claim adjuster and she said that they don't approve Ecopure's estimate, instead, they based the estimate from their own contractors. So at this point, there appears to be not much benefit using Ecopure's claim service. Since Ecopure doesn't have a design team. They can build back like exactly before. But anything different will be extra.

And we would like to use our own contractors which have a good designer and since they did remodel two years ago and we have trust in them. I told Ecopure the plan. Now the most dramatic surprise came. Josh called and wanted to have the overhead and profit check which is about $13K. That is just for handling of claims (not for any mitigation which is billed directly to the insurance). What, without performing the rebuild and taking all the profit from the rebuild?

I can't believe that is the case. He then reminded me that I signed a contract that specified that way. And there are multiple witteness such as his plumber buddy and his brother. I asked my insurance agent and a realtor friend, they all said they never heard about this type of practice. At this point, I realized that we should NOT sign the contract but it might be too late.

If you are considering using Ecopure based on these 5 star reviews, keep in mind that at least you should consult a lawyer before you sign the contract with them to protect you.

Ecopure helped me through extensive water damage to our kitchen island caused by our dishwasher. From the initial consultation Josh was professional and easy to work with. I appreciated their attentiveness, and always being available to answer questions and communicate timelines. Overall they provided highly quality, professional work.

EcoPure Restoration has been outstanding in handling our home's water damage and the resulting remediation, all reparations and insurance claim. We called them right away, and Josh showed up the next day. He was a true godsend. His experience with the initial remediation and then with the home repairs and guidance as a contractor assisted us throughout the entire six-month saga.

Throughout it all, Josh and Ecopure were the constants when the insurance and home decisions and all other variables were overwhelming and unpredictable. Josh was a consummate professional and handled everything with integrity. He was always available, responded to each and every call and provided whatever documentation was needed whenever we or the insurance company requested it.

He was so familiar with the process that he was able to walk us through it from beginning to end. Our family recommends EcoPure without reservation. I am so glad they were there for us when we needed them. We were fortunate to find them in the beginning.

We worked with Ecopure on a water damage situation that impacted our kitchen and the surrounding areas. If you're reading this review, it's probably because you are experiencing something similar and are trying to make an educated decision on which company to work with and how to best proceed as quickly as possible. From our experience working with Josh, Jake and the Ecopure team, I would highly recommend working with them. Ecopure conducted the mitigation of water damage, acted as POC to the insurance company, and managed the entire build back of our kitchen.

To summarize our experience working with Ecopure: Incredibly responsive: Josh understands the pain and stress that you are going through and will not leave you hanging. He always answered calls, responded to texts, or called back in a reasonable amount of time. Communication is key when dealing with these situations and Josh will not let you down.

Insurance Experts: If you think that you will be able to negotiate with your insurance company on your own, you might want to think again. If it is something small, you might be okay. If it is a large or complex claim, you will absolutely need help navigating insurance otherwise you will almost certainly leave a significant amount of money on the table.

Insurance companies are motivated to give you the smallest amount of money possible, and they do that through tactics like stalling and being completely unresponsive (not answering phone calls or replying to emails, in other words completely ignore you). They want to wear you down so that when they do offer you something, you will be so happy that they actually called you back that you might just take the offer.

Working with Josh, who has extensive experience working with insurance companies, was one of the best decisions we made during this entire situation. Josh knows how to navigate insurance, knows how to communicate with them, and importantly, has all the same software that insurance companies use to assess claims. Josh effectively got the insurance company to more than double the initial offer.

There is no chance that we would have been able to do that without Josh. Knowledgeable: Josh understands construction, management, and working with contractors. If you hire Ecopure, you can be involved as much or as little as you want. Josh will manage the entire build back with his contractors! You will not need to go on Yelp to find contractors and handymen for each part of the job and then wait and pray for them to show up. Josh will build a schedule and execute the build back with his contractors.

For us, he came in on time (actually better than we had expected) and exactly on budget (you know what you are getting into and there were no hidden costs). You are likely feeling stress and anxiety right now if you are on Yelp trying to find a company that will fix the damage in your house. Call Ecopure. If your experience is like ours, you will fell that stress melt away when you talk to Josh and Jake. They know what they are doing, they will help you, and they will be honest and communicative during the entire process. Again, I can't recommend them highly enough.

Ecopure is truly wonderful. Having to move out of your home with a large family and a puppy is not easy. Jake at EcoPure made the process enjoyable! Every detail and concern was taken care of, in a timely manner. Jake did a great job communicating with our insurance and kept us informed, every step of the way. Everyone on Ecopure's team is kind, hard-working, and they created our dream home! We are so happy!

Josh at EcoPure Restoration was a life saver for us. They are hands down the best restoration company around. They were referred to us by numerous local families, and our plumber as well. They are very well known in the San Diego area and definitely lived up to their reputation. We had water behind our walls and under our flooring. Josh came over immediately and walked us through the entire process.

He was an advocate for us from start to finish and made sure our home was restored to the highest quality. He was always available by phone or text for our (numerous) questions. I'm so grateful for these guys. What an all-around wonderful experience! Josh from EcoPure Restoration knows his stuff. He was communicative, knowledgeable, quick to respond to our needs, professional and friendly. During our home buying inspection, mold was discovered in the kitchen that required remediation. Josh came out to give a detailed bid of the scope of the project.

The day after we closed on the house, he was out there with his crew getting the job done. These guys do not mess around! They quickly removed the affected cabinets, set up drying/cleaning equipment and resolved the problem in just a few days. We had the affected area tested by a third party and their work passed the test just as he knew it would.

The final amount we paid was exactly what he quoted from the beginning and he stayed in excellent communication the whole time. He even sent pictures and videos of the progress. Dealing with damage in your home sucks, dealing with insurance is even worse. After going through the "preferred" insurance contractors twice, with terrible results. I did a little research and these reviews are all spot on Called EcoPure and Josh was on-site with his team a short time later. They had my best interest in mind and even worked with my insurance, pointing out a number of things that should've been covered but were left off their preferred contractors assessment. Communication was great through the whole process, highly recommend these guys.

The team from EcoPure Restoration was fast to respond to the initial call out, and worked swiftly to setup driers and organize the abatement and cleanup. I have nothing buy positive comments for Ecopure. They replaced the entire kitchen sink area of my kitchen after a water leak. Jake and all of his subcontractors are very efficient and professional. Josh and Jake took care of business! The upstairs neighbor caused some water damage in our ceiling. We were referred by a friend to Ecopure. Josh and Jake were here within a hour and outlined the entire process up front. They brought the equipment to dry up the water damage and worked with the insurance to get the rebuild scheduled. The team that did the drywall and painting did a fantastic job. Better than before. Great job and great customer service. Highly recommend!

We are SO thankful EcoPure was recommended by a neighbor! We woke up to a puddle in our kitchen, and had no idea how extensive the necessary repairs would be. We contacted EcoPure, having seen them recommended by several neighbors, and Jake and Josh were at our home within an hour or so. They got straight to work, measuring and documenting the damage and setting up fans and dehumidifiers.

In the coming days, they removed all affected drywall, cabinets, and flooring. Behind the scenes, Jake carefully documented every last aspect that would be affected by the restoration and negotiated the scope of repairs with our insurance company, ensuring our home would be as good as new. Once the scope was finalized, we moved out and watched as teams of EcoPure employees and subcontractors demolished and rebuilt pretty much the entire first floor of our home.

Everyone was friendly, hardworking, and very skilled in their work. We elected to have a couple additional projects done while we were out of the home, partly by EcoPure and partly by contractors hired separately (but recommended by EcoPure). We could not be happier with the end result. Despite overlapping Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years, the project finished right on time, and we are so happy to not only be home, but have our home looking even better than ever. Also, throughout the process, Jake was always friendly, calm, helpful, and responsive.

We know they are busier than ever right now, but you would not suspect it based on how easy it is to get ahold of him with even the most annoying or inane questions. I really hope we don't need restoration services again, but if we do, I would absolutely use EcoPure again.

Barely a year into moving into our new house upstairs water inlet broke and flooded; damaging downstairs as well. Never having dealt with this before I found Ecopure mentioned numerous other social media and decided to give them a call along with others. To my dismay the others learned what my insurance company is and didn't want to deal with them at all.

Not Josh, he took care of talking to my awful insurance and walked us through everything on how to handle the insurance company. His knowledge and communication was key here to help us get through this. Never once had I needed to wait to hear back from Josh, it's always waiting on the insurance company. I can't stress enough how communication is so important here and I never felt I was left hanging.

Insurance left me hanging of course and Josh also helped us with advice and strategies to get through to them. Ecopure was very clear in the timelines and schedules (dependent on insurance company as well). They did great job covering everything (flooring) and making sure to help keep everything within the budget the insurance company is only willing to cover.

The rebuild was great as well, his team is able to make suggestions, provide detailed explanations, and answer any questions we had throughout the process. If there's any issues it would be addressed timely (again communication is great). Definitely recommend Josh & Ecopure, especially if this is your first time and need help with this entire process. Everything from dealing with insurance, demo, and rebuild, was great.

The bathroom in the unit above me flooded and a colleague referred me to Jake and Josh with EcoPure. They came down to my place within an hour and brought all the equipment needed to measure moisture and begin the drying process. Jake was the lead on my project and kept in constant communication, always gave me realistic expectations and was willing to work with multiple insurance companies and my HOA to get everything processed.

I don't think there was ever a time that Jake didn't answer my phone call or immediately text me saying exactly when he'd be able to call me back. Such a dependable guy and so patient and easy to work with. His team did a great job in getting all the damaged walls/tiles/insulation ripped out and everything dried out. And once insurance approved everything (which takes significantly longer than you'd expect), getting everything built back at a high level of quality.

The tilework was the highlight of the job and they did an excellent job! He was also able to get a few extra requests done for me that I'd been wanting to do for a nominal additional cost. They got all the work done ahead of the projected schedule and I was able to get moved back in early.an added bonus! I hope that I never ever have water damage again, but if I do, I know that I'll be calling Jake and Josh with EcoPure!

If I could give this company 100 stars I would. Josh and the EcoPure team were amazing to work with. We were first time homeowners and had unexpected kitchen damage within our first year of owning. We really didn't know where to start or who to contact. We met with Josh and from the get go he was helping us "adult". I have no clue what we would have done without Josh and his guidance.

Not only was the team professional but they were also super friendly and you could tell they really cared. Josh and Jake were very knowledgeable and courteous when they came out to our home. If I could give Eddie 6 stars, I would. I have never seen a harder working or more courteous HVAC technician in my entire life and he should be your first call for any HVAC work

A flood from the unit upstairs demolished my unit and three rooms were affected. The dry out was done improperly by another company and I set out to find a better company to do the restoration. That's when I found Josh and Ecopure. They made all repairs and Josh was such a an understanding and nice man to work with. And it was done in a shorter time than originally expected. Thank you!

The sale of our house was in a few days when we had a flood caused by faulty valves at the washer machine. It was an emergency! Fortunately the buyers understood but the dryout and restoration needed to be done before the new buyers moved in and it needed to be done for a reasonable price because we were paying out of pocket. Fortunately Jake and Josh came out. Jake pulled out all the stops and was able to finish the entire job before the new buyers moved in and did it for under budget.

He kept us updated during the entire process even while were out of town. With everything else we were dealing with selling the house and buying a new house Jake and his team handled everything. He even spoke with the new buyers and realtor to put them at ease about the process. I couldn't give a better recommendation.

For the second time this year, we needed to call Josh Long and his team at Eco Pure to address a water leak in our home. After receiving excellent service in June 2019 due to a leak in our kitchen, we did not hesitate to call Josh when we had a second, unrelated incident in one of our bathrooms in December 2019. As with the first call, we give Eco Pure the highest rating for being responsive, knowledgeable, performing quality work and being respectful of our personal property.

We were especially impressed at how quickly Eco Pure responded during the Christmas season, since our leak was discovered on December 23rd. Project specifics: After discovering a water leak in our upstairs bathroom, we called Josh, and he arrived with his team in less than two hours to evaluate the leak and set up fans and humidifier to start the drying process.

At that time, Josh scheduled a date for the demo and showed up as expected on that scheduled date. When it was discovered that we needed plumbing services to prevent further damage, Josh contacted us quickly and due to his recommendations for plumbers, we were able to get the work completed within a few hours. The fans and humidifier were left in place for several days to ensure everything was dry. Josh called us a few days after his services were complete and paid for, just to check in that we were able to find someone to complete repairs.

We are currently in process of hiring a dry wall installer to repair the damage and due to the diligence and quality of effort we observe by Josh and his team, we highly value any service providers recommendations by him. Throughout the entire process, Josh was very responsive and took the time to call us back quickly whenever we had questions. As a homeowner, overwhelmed with these unexpected situations, twice in one year, we were grateful to work with Eco Pure because we felt confident that the work was being done correctly. We would absolutely recommend Eco Pure and would hire them again if necessary.

This is long overdue. We had a bad water leak and an insurance claim. That in itself was a nightmare to deal with. I got 7 different estimates and didn't feel good about any of them. They didn't seem to have our best interests at heart. Then I met Jake and felt comfortable from the start. He was professional and sympathetic to our situation.

We had a leak in our laundry room, more like a small flood. We ended up cleaning up the water but a couple of days later we could tell that there was water damage. Jake came by and did a moisture check on the floor and walls and they were still wet. We were afraid it could get worse with Mold so we knew we needed to have it remediated. Jake put a dehumidifier in the room that night and his crew came by the next day to tear out all the water damage. Jake was great through the whole process and even helped with the insurance. I would highly recommend Ecopure. It's the type of service you expect from a contractor but rarely get.

Before you call insurance, call Ecopure Restoration! I came home from work to discover that the water line to my washing machine on the second floor had burst and was causing water to flood my home. I panicked and called my insurance company right away to help. Water was pouring from my kitchen ceiling and the entire upstairs was wet. My insurance company told me that they would send one of their "preferred vendors" out to take care of the water damage cleanup and drying everything out.

The company insurance was going to send out said they could not be to my home until the following morning, so I asked friends if they had ever had this happen and who they used to do the drying out. One of my good friends told me to call Ecopure Restoration right away because she had a great experience with them. I called Ecopure and the friendly voice of Josh answered the phone right away.

He listened to me describe the situation and told me they could be there right away. This was awesome! They showed up within an hour and went over the scope of what they would be doing in detail. They coordinated everything with my insurance without any hiccups. I didn't realize I DID NOT have to use the insurance company's preferred vendor (by law).

Not only did Ecopure Restoration dry out my home and do the demolition, they also did the build back. I was very impressed by how efficient they were and how beautiful the finished job turned out. The finished product looked like a beautiful upgrade to floors, cabinets, paint colors, etc. Ecopure made going through this disaster a breeze. OMG - I can't express how awesome these guys are! Never have dealt with mold issues - but they made the process super simple and provided a very detailed, honest estimate. They kept me in the loop the entire time, even texting me pictures!

I initially researched reputable companies in the Better Business Bureau to locate a flood remediation company. Eco Pure Restoration was listed and I immediately called to service a significant water leak in my home in San Diego.

My wife and I came home after a date to find that the toilet had overflowed for quite a while. We were in a panic, not knowing what to do other than to shut the water off. Our insurance company was not answering calls in the middle of the night, so we started searching online.
