Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Value He came to our house to clean our pool and never cleaned our saltwater pool filter for 7 months and scammed us of our money, . I don't recommend this service

I've been a customer of Doug's for over a year now and am very satisfied! I'm a new homeowner and first time pool owner. He's very reasonably priced and extremely knowledgeable. Bought house but didn't move in for 2 months. When we did the water was green! I did my due diligence and he was the best price for a drain and refill. He even informed me that if I called MCUD they would give me a credit and they did. I highly recommend Doug!

Doug has been our pool service professional for several years. He is dependable and trustworthy. He shows up on time, finishes his work quickly, and never leaves any mess. Our pool always looks great and is ready to use any time thanks to Doug! He is friendly to the family including the kids and visiting in-laws, and he doesn't seem to mind making his way through our herd of animals to get the job done.

He also identifies any problems with the pool and pool equipment very quickly (usually before we even notice an issue) and recommends top quality companies for repair or replacement. We are very happy with Doug's Pool Service!

Doug is very knowledgeable and professional. His prices are reasonable and competitive for the area. He is very fast to respond to questions and any issues. When we were having issues with our pool heating system he immediately provided us with a recommendation who was able to fix our issue.

We are seasonal residents of Bradenton and Doug has taken care of our pool for nearly 13 years. We have been very pleased with his care of our pool. It is always clean and clear when we arrive in Florida and if we have an issue of any kind he has handled it immediately.

I wish that I could select less than 1 star as our experience with Doug's Pools was heartbreaking. Doug's staff gel-coated our pool 3 times. The first time didn't last a year and Doug refused to honor the warranty until we purchased additional service to redo fiberglass. We were between a rock and a hard place so agreed and paid Doug more money. The gel coat didn't last a year and we requested our money back so we could use another company.

At first Doug agreed and then went back on his word. He brought in reps from the gel coat company and said they would do the gel coat again and guarantee it for 10 years. We didn't have a choice so allowed them to gel coat a 3rd time. Within 18 months the gel coat was bubbling and popping. Every time we contacted Doug he had some excuse for why the gel coat didn't last.

It was so bad that we would not even allow Doug and Jose back on our property. We contracted with another company to redo the gel coat and just ate the coat of the gel coat that we paid Doug multiple times. Our advice-just go with another company. It will save you money in the long run. We made a $5,000 mistake going with Doug. He can't be trusted and the workmanship is horrible.

We made the decision to hire Doug to do our weekly pool maintenance last year and are thrilled with the results. He uses less than half the chemicals we were using and our pool has never looked so good! I highly recommend Doug's Pool Service to anyone!

Doug has been cleaning our pool for over 19 years. Great service, very affordable price and very knowledgeable and professional. We never have to worry about our pool because it always looks fantastic!
