Critical: Professionalism We hired this company in early 2021 to reface our kitchen cabinets. We received a product that was different than the sample door they made for us. The owner and this company would not do anything to remedy our complaint or care about customer satisfaction. Service: Remodeling

Cabinet Cures did a wonderful job re-staining our 20 year old kitchen, bathrooms and laundry room cabinets. They were professional, on time and very responsive to any inquiries or "touch ups" afterward. The whole experience was positive and we would use them again. Highly recommend. Service: Remodeling

Julia was the best part of our major renovation project. From the start, she was responsive, patient, designed cabinets that fit our custom needs, and had the best suggestions for all other finishes and aspects of the project as well. She was so empathetic and was creative with scheduling so that when issues popped up with construction, we didn't get further delayed.

Her team of installers was polite, professional and our kitchen is a dream come true. We will be starting on our bathroom remodel soon and are thrilled to work with her again. Her confidence and expertise are exactly what we need.

We chose Cabinet Cures to reface our kitchen cabinets and are thrilled with the results. Our 16 year old cabinets were more Home Depot mid-price range quality and we wanted a higher-end finish. The configuration still worked and the boxes were all stable, so refacing them with new drawers and doors was the perfect economical solution. We chose Cabinet Cures' sturdy, beautiful maple which comes in a variety of finishes (we chose white).

In the refacing process, they also put new veneers on the cabinet ends and around the new drawers and doors. The cabinets look brand new. You have the choice of glass or solid and a variety of trim and hardware. Cabinet Cures can also build custom cabinets and help you reconfigure your kitchen if that's what you want. We worked with Julia in the showroom who was attentive, responsive, and unbelievably helpful.

She's a designer, so although she would have sold more product, she helped us come to the conclusion that we didn't need to reconfigure our kitchen. She even provided advice on wall color to go with our new kitchen floor. The communication and scheduling was professional and prompt. The installation team was friendly and patient with us. They cleaned up well every day and were sensitive to our needing to use our kitchen in the evenings.

The new doors and drawers work better than the others - the hinges are even high quality. I highly recommend Cabinet Cures for cabinets that look brand new and cost about 1/3 of new ones.

Hired Cabinet Cures to reface our kitchen cabinets. They were great from start to finish. Met with Julia in our home to discuss what we wanted to do. 2 weeks later we met in the showroom to pick our finishes and make final decisions. We were originally booked pretty far out (4 months) for installation but they were able to move us up in the schedule when they had someone who needed to change. Installation went great.

I really appreciated that our lead installer Jasper called me every morning to let me know what time they would be arriving. Installation crew was very respectful and great at communicating. They did a great job and the kitchen looks great! I would highly recommend

I really wanted to give Cabinet Cures a good review, but the project was not without its issues. Before the work began (refacing kitchen cabinets), we specifically asked the crew NOT to put any painter's tape of any kind on the hardwood floors. They had put blue painter's tape down on our hardwood floor to secure the protective paper and when we pointed this out, they revamped by replacing it with "sensitive" tape even though they were asked not to use any tape at all.

We were assured the sensitive tape would not damage the floor and that the paper had to be taped down for safety reasons. Needless to say, when the paper was pulled up, the floor was damaged in several spots where the tape removed the finish. Cabinet Cures says they are not responsible for floor damage and that due to the age of the finish, the result was unavoidable. Unavoidable?

How about no tape.no damage. We were given a timeframe of 5-10 days for project completion and it was nearly three weeks, mainly because the hardware (handles) for the cupboards and drawers were on back order. Perhaps this should have been known before starting the project? Only half were installed in a timely manner. Bob did a great job in finishing the project. Corbels to support the existing granite island were ordered twice.wrong color the first time.

We were advised not to disturb the crew while they were working as the work is precise. My husband just happened to notice that they were refacing the island in white and it was supposed to be in walnut. Fortunately my husband caught this early. The first night after they left, I went to use the microwave and someone from the crew had left a cup of coffee in it.

This is during COVID and they had not asked to use it. Second day my husband heard "dinging" sounds from the kitchen as they were again trying to use the microwave to heat coffee, but were actually using controls for the lower oven. We just thought this was disrespectful to the homeowner during a pandemic. So, do I like my new refaced cabinets, yes.

Do I like strangers using my appliances without permission.nope. Do I like my damaged floors.not so much. Beware and read the fine print in the contract and maybe think twice about using this company.

I couldn't be happier with my kitchen thanks to Cabinet Cures. Julia and the installers were fabulous. Julia was very knowledgable and patient with all my questions. The installers were very professional and accommodating. Our project was done almost two years ago and looks like the day it was finished. The cabinets have held up amazingly and clean up so easily. I have highly recommended several friends to use them!

We just finished our 5 day cabinet project today about 4 hours ago. My wife and I are business people with very high expectations. We first met with Julia Koch, their Sales Designer who both my wife and I found to be very competent, knowledgeable, excellent communicator, very smart and conducts herself in a professional manner. We knew after meeting her that ''this is who we are going to work with.

Cabinet Cures provides new cabinetry and offers refinishing services. We have a very nice kitchen that we just wanted to change the color from brown to a gorgeous Black & White Tuxedo Kitchen. Refinishing was the perfect option for us. Now on to the craftsmanship. They have three two man teams. The Lead craftsman on our project was Jesse along with his assistant Jose.

Both of them reminded me that it's people who are the greatest asset of any company. What made a very positive impression at the end of the first day on the project was when I asked Jesse how long he had been with the company and he said, "15 years". That told me two things, 1- for Jesse to work that long with Cabinet Cures of Portland meant to me this must be a great company for him to be there that long! 2- Jesse has a tremendous amount of experience and knows exactly what he is doing!

Both were very focused and hard working. Both were very friendly and professional. We needed our oven, and sink cabinetry modified as well to accommodate a different sink and oven that we had before and did a great job. I am proud to have met three wonderful people like Julia, Jesse, and Jose. My wife and I highly recommend not only to work with this company but, with Julia herself, and I would special request Jesse to oversee your project! Great job Team Cabinet Cures of Portland. We wish you all the best in your personal and business lives. We will post pictures in a month of the final

Very easy to communicate with starting from the bid all the way to the final piece. They answered any questions I had and did a final walk through with me to make sure I was happy with the work. They were always on time and the quality of the workmanship materials were top notch. Not just your average cabinet contractor. Would highly recommend to a friend.

We just got our cabinets refaced in November and absolutely love how they turned out! Julia was extremely helpful and honest with us about what would work well in our kitchen. She had some great ideas and we also had our own ideas about what we needed in a kitchen update. Julia helped us sort things out. We are so happy how everthing turned out. Everyone who came out to work on our kitchen came when they said they would and the project was finished on time! The contractors were respectful of our home and cleaned up when they were finished! Great group of people to work with!

It has been 6 months, numerous problems, moldings not installed properly- all handles not installed, one cabinet not complete- handles not installed and they won't come finish despite the contract that says they will finish in 5 days. Moldings are falling off- they have ruined our existing cabinets and they left a mess everytime they came and did work. No quality control and they refuse to finish our $38,000+ job! We are filing a Contractors License Board Complaint!

Working with Cabinet Cures was one of the best, most satisfying experiences I've ever had with professional services. They are expert. Highly professional. Very competent. And the guys who came and did the work to reface my kitchen cabinets were friendly, polite, paid attention to detail and cleaned up beautifully when they were done. They did an excellent job. I could not have asked for anything better. Their prices are reasonable as well. I cannot recommend them more highly.

Cabinet Cures of Portland turned my dated 80's kitchen into my dream kitchen, and I highly recommend them! From designer Julia helping me with so many decisions, to the superior quality of their product, to the skilled installers, it was an A+++ experience. Everyone that sees my kitchen is impressed with the quality at such an affordable price. I can't wait to have them back to do my master bath!

We used Cabinet Cures per the suggestion of our general contractor. WOW. are we glad we listened!. I cannot tell you how much help Jules was in designing and providing the perfect layout, products, etc. My husband and I had no idea where to begin or what we wanted. Jules did not know us but observed us in our home and came up with a plan. We did change things a couple times due to purchasing appliances, etc., and not once did she seem annoyed or charge us extra for design changes.

The installers were super professional, timely and did a wonderful job. I would also like to add that EVERY single person who has entered our home (mostly professional construction folks) have commented how beautiful and what great craftsmanship! Jules is not only good at designing the layout, but she is wonderful with other aspects of creating the perfect overall design.

She really understands construction, codes, etc. Do not pay attention to the couple of bad reviews as Cabinet Cures runs a SUPER TIGHT SHIP and following a schedule is second to none.

Cabinet Cures transformed our boring 90's oak filled kitchen ugliness to A much more modern bright and beautiful space! We also had them do our laundry room and powder bath as part of our whole downstairs remodel. Jules really helped us through the whole process. We knew we wanted "light and airy" but she really helped us bring that to life with her assistance in choosing colors, counters, backsplash, and hardware.along with answering the million questions we had along the way as first time remodelers.

She has a great eye for choosing things we liked and was so patient with us. As with any big project little bumps and issues came up but Jules and Cabinet Cures made sure everything was just the way we wanted. I would definitely recommend them to anyone with a refacing project!

Beyond satisfied and pleased with Cabinet Cures from the initial consultation to the last day of installation. You truly do get what you pay for and I'm so thankful for that. Jules made sure I was getting exactly what I wanted, and the installation team was more than professional and respectful. They took great care of my home while they were there and even completed the job a day early.

I went from peeling pressboard cabinets and drawers to incredible hardwood material that I cannot stop staring at. The additional details such as wrapping the existing boxes and replacing all of the molding as well as trim around the floor, took this job over the top. I seriously feel like I have entirely brand new cupboards and drawers. I would highly recommend Cabinet Cures.

BEST DECISION WE EVER MADE! For a fraction of the investment into new kitchen cabinets, we HAVE a brand new kitchen. We went from natural wood with chocolate glaze to a stunning custom white.

The owner Kelly, is very easy to work with and very accessible. His staff were very pleasant and professional and they went the extra mile to make it look the way we wanted and expected. Like all home remodel projects, something always comes up. We were having them do our solid oak cabinets--I know, travesty--and for whatever reason, someone thought it was ok to just do the exterior of the cabinets, but leave the inside with the original oak.

I asked why on earth would someone want just the exterior and not the interior done as well and basically, the excuse was that I didn't ask for that and that it wasn't in the bid. I called the owner Kelly and he took care of it. No additional cost. : So, in the end, they did the right thing and that is what matters. Would do business with them again.

We were extremely pleased with their work and the final product looks outstanding. In particular, the job was painstakingly done and their carpenters proved extremely well skilled. Don Childress, the manager, worked hard to accommodate our needs and budget, and was extremely helpful in suggesting ideas and ways of doing the work.

The bid they provided me was $3,000-4,000 more than other companies. I asked for a detailed bid of how they came up with their price but got no response.

We couldn't be happier with the results of our project. It exceeded my expectations! The guys were great and going through the process was easier than I imagined it was going to be. If you ever need a reference or have someone who wants to see a finished project, let us know. Thanks Julia for all your time with us. You were so accommodating and gracious. Thanks again.

D.b.a. Cabinet Crooks.promised what they couldn't deliver, when asked to do it right they always wanted more money, etc. They tried to get full payment before the job was finished. I refused until the job was complete, per the contract. At which point, they threatened to put a lean on my house. When that failed to work, they told their workers to reenter my house and take my cabinet doors and drawers to use as leverage to get the money out of me before the job was finished.

I locked them out. I then got a series of threatening calls from their bosses. They tried to bully the money out of me; then stick me with an incomplete job. I believe that they were having trouble paying their workers before payday and needed the money. After a long struggle I was able to get them to finish. But it was very stressful and way over the deadline.

As a side note, I've been advised in the future to consider installing new cabinets. If you have a granite counter top you want to save it might be best to refinish your cabinets. If workers try to pull the granite it will most likely break. Otherwise it costs about the same to get brand new cabinets.
