Byrd did not build our pool and we've not had a prior relationship with them. We had an issue with our pool automation and it was suggested we contact them. After calling them they took my name and said their tech would call us and later that day he did! He walked me through the Pentair app and got it fixed over the phone. He saved us a service call and a service charge. He was very patient with my questions and got us going again. Thanks!

Update! They waved some charges and the guys on the phone have always been very responsive, helpful, and professional. Hiring right now is really tough and I think they may have some inexperienced employees working for them that do not know what they are doing. I had to call someone else. Took them quite a few trips and they wanted to come out two more times to finish opening my pool, literally, took the next pool guy 45 minutes to do!

Byrd Pool Repair came out and gave an estimate on repair of my pool heater and pump. Robert analyzed my situation and made same day repairs to my pump as well as a recommendation regarding my heater. Robert was courteous, professional and knowledgeable. I am very pleased with the repairs and absolutely recommend Byrd for swimming pool equipment repair. Five star performance!

I have with this company since 2013. After changing ownership a few year ago, the company used inexperienced person to maintain my pool. They messed so much we only used the pool twice this year. I paid multiple times for replacing damaged DE filter in the past few years. I was really fed up with paying so much money to them and unable to use the pool. Today, they informed me they forgot to clean the DE filter during closing the pool a month ago. It is totally unacceptable! I will never use this company again!

Byrd Pool Service did our pool inspection when we bought our house so we decided to have them help us by having them come out and give us a "class" about how to maintain our pool. The pool had turned green by the time they came out because they took a while to return our call and then other few days to get us on the schedule. The gentleman who showed up was not a very good teacher.

He went through everything so fast and gave us incorrect instructions on how to get our pool cleared up. He also seemed irritated that he had to come and help us. We gave it 2 days because that's what he told us to do and it was still the same shade of green. I called them back and left a voicemail asking for someone to come out and clean it. I never heard from anyone. I will never recommend this company to anyone.

Expensive, impatient, loud, foul-mouthed service tech who actually whined and complained to me because he brought some parts I already had. Unprofessional AND expensive - that's a recipe for failure. Services:Cleaning, General repairs & maintenance

Slow to return calls or provide timely service. They do quality work when they finally show up though

Service has always been great and reliable from Byrd. Matt has visited a few times this spring to help us with some aging equipment. He keeps in touch about repair plans. He's in and out quickly, and makes solid recommendations for replacing/updating filter gear as needed. I know that when Byrd stops by, the job will done well and worry free.

Byrd has been taking care of our pool for a while now. Very pleased with the "twice-a-week" service - pool always looks great. Most recently, we relied heavily on Byrd during the recent, record, two week cold spell. Our normal service provider, Antwon, showed up on a regular basis (every other day) to check the pool through the cold spell. He was responsive every time we texted him and came out to check on the pool motor which was on its last leg.

The motor finally gave out on a Saturday as the weather was getting better and the technician, Matt, showed up that same morning to drain the equipment. We anticipated that it would take at least 10 days to get everything repaired due to the weather related backlog, but Matt showed up just a few dats later later and installed a new and better pump system. Couldn't be happier.

Paid Byrd to close pool for the winter and maintain the chemicals. They were scheduled to open the pool this Monday but they didn't make it until Tuesday. Guys that opened the pool were nice and professional (the reason I didn't give them 1 star) they told me that I really should have maintained the chemicals over the winter and that my pool was a mess.

I laughed as I told the guy that I actually paid Byrd to do that and was billed every month for the service. He was in disbelief and said he had to call the office to confirm. Fast forward to today, Sunday 6 days since they opened the pool. I still can't see deeper than 2 foot. Byrd doesn't work on the weekends and we haven't seen anyone from Byrd since Thursday.

So much for a Memorial Day swim! Bottom line, they got some nice people working for them but they don't have management oversight to follow up that work is actually being done. They don't go overboard trying to fix their own mistakes and instead of wowing me with their efforts to get my pool open they chose to just ignore us. I won't be doing business with Byrd going forward.

Lack BIG TIME on communication. A tech even had the audacity to tell me that I didn't tell him something when we had a full blown conversation about it. Instead of making the situation right and coming back to do what I asked of (not to mention after many "reachedules" they didn't show up for) he just fought back half the reason they were there for. Just once of many instances but this one confirmed the lower price offer just isn't worth the headache what so ever.

They don't answer the phone during work hours. Tried to schedule "Pool School" with Byrd as a new pool owner. Couldn't get a call back for days. Mr. Byrd showed up 30 minutes late. He noticed some issues with the pool and said he would send someone over the next day to fix it. That never happened. Never returned calls telling me when it would happen.

I ended up fixing it myself. I tried contacting him multiple times to get on a regular service plan. He never responded. Two summer months have passed and obviously Byrd has too much business for new customers to even pick up the phone. Don't waste your time.

Our pool pump stopped working over the weekend. After our home warranty couldn't get anyone to help us, I called Byrd Pool Service. I explained our issue but they didn't have a spot available for another week. I went ahead and scheduled with them because I just needed to get it fixed. I get a call the very next day saying they had a tech who was able to make room for me in his schedule that day! Brad was super professional and got our pump back working within minutes it seemed!

They listened to my issues when I called to schedule and already had an idea of what was wrong and came prepared with the right parts to fix the pump. They totally made my day since our pool has given us so many issues. I will definitely be using Byrd from now on!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. They sold us on just cleaning the liner instead of replacing it like the other companies said we should do. They promised they would go $200 into cleaning the liner to determine if the pool would hold water and if it wouldn't, they would replace it. After 2-1/2 months they turned over a pool that didn't hold water and still looked awful.

This kept us from putting the house on the market during selling season and a pool that didn't pass FHA inspections. So we still had to buy a $4000 new liner after paying them $2000. Charlie wouldn't return calls or texts. He was very untrustworthy. Basically he did a job that would benefit himself so he could charge us for the cleaning process when he knew from the beginning there was holes in the liner.

The ONE thing he was efficient with was placing a lien on our property after 7 days even though their terms state 30 days to pay. He knew we were unhappy with the results so he wanted to make sure he got his money before closing. The new company said it was full of holes and would never have passed inspections. He was very deceptive with his sales pitch! The picture shows what the liner looked like after the water leaked out and the liner pulled away from the sides one week after completion.

I’ve had Byrd come out for several issues including a leak in my pool as well as a broken pump motor. They always get out to me fast, get everything fixed and are so friendly. Robert and Mike are both awesome. I’ll only use Byrd from now on.

We are brand new pool owners. I had called Byrd on a recommendation from a home inspector, but later discovered they already service 7 pools in our neighborhood. Matt came out promptly and did a complete diagnostic service for us, as well as trained us on all of the equipment. Not once did he try to up sell us. He was friendly and knowledgeable. Give Byrd a call!

Byrd Pool Service has been taking care of our pool for over two years and we are very happy. Our regular service guy, James, really knows his stuff. He makes sure our system gets what it needs and frequently suggests ways to save money on any repairs or updates needed.

They will not return phone calls. They repaired a leak in my pool but it is leaking again and Byrd will not return my calls. Charlie was the lead in the repair, is in meeting and will call when it closed, did not call.
