Loved Shai and everyone at Butel! I have used several contractors for different renovations and I have never been as happy from start to finish on a project as I was with Butel. Shai helped me with ideas, was honest about what was needed and what was not. Miguel and Angel, who work for Butel, gave me new ideas on how to place the bathroom tile as well as the cabinet for the island both of which came out better than anything I was imagining. Shai always answered my text and emails right away.

At the end anything I did not like they were willing to change because they only wanted me to be happy with the final product. All conversations and communication were professional and friendly and I felt comfortable asking questions and talking to everyone on the project. I will never use any other company but Butel construction in the future.

We LOVED working with Butel Construction! It's rare you hear someone say they loved working with their contractor but it's true - we genuinely had a great experience with them throughout the whole process. We remodeled and added onto our kitchen, converted our garage to an ADU and designed front/backyard landscaping. Shai and his crew were always on top of it and very organized.

For instance - he sent me a weekly schedule every Sunday and if new or unexpected work popped up - he would send a docusign same day so everything was always agreed upon in a formal way. They showed up when they said they would and kept to the schedule even during a pandemic. Their attention to detail, safety, and overall quality control was top-notch! I cannot recommend them enough and would use them again in a heartbeat.

My home looks gorgeous. I interviewed three other contractors and am so glad that I decided to work with Butel Construction. Shai had many ideas and suggestions for ways to remodel my townhouse, to make the best use of a small space, and to create a kitchen that looks contemporary and airy. Shai listened to my ideas and incorporated my sense of design with the result being the perfect space for me, in terms of both my lifestyle and taste (the other contractors seemed to have one look that was used for everyone).

The workers were professional and highly experienced. One of the cabinets was scratched when the dishwasher was installed and the Shai immediately told me not to worry and that it would be replaced. My home was left extremely clean at the end of each work day. My brother also used Shai to remodel his kitchen and I have recommended Butel Construction to several friends and colleagues.

We are so happy to have found Butel Construction. We are first time homeowners and knew we wanted a wall in our house taken down to make the space more open. It was the first time we ever attempted any construction to this price and degree and we were quite nervous (even though their company has done projects ten times bigger than this). Shai answered all my questions, was very forthcoming, spent a lot of time explaining everything to me - and this was before I every signed a single thing.

The price was also the most reasonable I found and the end result did not disappoint. The project went smoothly and finished earlier than they had planned, even knocking down the price when they demoed the wall and discovered a beam was already in place and a new one was no longer needed. We have other things in mind for our house and are definitely looking forward to working with Shai and Butel Construction again.

I finished my whole house remodel and 5 months later am beyond thankful that I chose Shai and Butel Construction for the project. Seriously, I have no negative comments. On time, on budget, great input, always professional, calm in the storm that was sometimes me! And all this during The Covid. You know when someone says, "Don't worry, we got it" and you always worry more? NOT the case with Shai and the team. When they say it they mean it. I cannot recommend them more.

This was my second time working with Shai Butel, and it was as much of a pleasure as the first. This time we were remodeling an entire 2900sqft 1960's house. Shai took it down to the studs and built it back. The finish is so perfect everyone who visits thinks it's a brand new home. Shai sticks to his budget, has a fantastic, happy team, and they were working on site every single day. I highly highly recommend Shai, and look forward to working with him again in the future.

Butel Construction has done several jobs for us from a bathroom remodel to revamping a kitchen to new front steps. They are always very communicative, highly professional, on time (!), and do an excellent job. Their prices are reasonable as well. What more could you want in a contractor?

We recently bought a new home in Manhattan Beach and were looking to remodel our kitchen, bathroom, add A/C, add a new electrical panel and install new floors. We had experience working with Shai and Butel construction before on a bathroom remodel for us in another house which turned out amazing. Shai provides weekly updates, online documentation and accounting and always checks on anything that needs approval.

The value his team provides is exceptional and even though he is little more expensive than other bids, his team's work speaks for itself. His service team and the peace of mind they provide to their customers knowing the project will get executed correctly, efficiently and professionally will give you complete confidence. I highly recommend Shai and Butel as this is the 2nd remodel they have successfully completed and I would use them for any other future contractor projects.

Had Butel totally redo one bathroom, floors, ceilings, paint, sidewalk and install pocket doors in my place. Everything went off without a hitch. Support has been great. I can see why everyone recommended Butel. They probably won't be your cheapest bid, but most likely nothing will go wrong. Though like any contractor, keep an eye on to make sure anyway! We were very fortunate to find Butel Construction to handle our remodel project. Shai and Miguel were a pleasure to work with, always responsive and communicative throughout the entire process. The project took longer than we would've liked it to due to the fact that we engaged our own electrician to handle the electrical work, and he caused significant delays, so if we had to do it again we would probably let Butel handle all subcontracting. (We are happy with how the lighting came out in the end, but had we done our own research we probably could've gotten a similar result from Butel.) Highly recommend!

Shai Butel and Butel Construction were absolutely fantastic partners during my remodel work. It all began with a prompt and professional estimate experience. Shai came prepared with our construction documents and a list of questions. He provided a detailed proposal outlining all costs by project stage & room along with a fair price and a prompt start date.

The permit and construction work all proceeded smoothly: Shai's crew were all very prompt, professional, and take great care in their attention to detail. All work was done to our specifications and any required rework was promptly addressed. Shai was also very clear about incremental work and change orders so there were never any surprises with costs.

Our project was completed on time and on budget but, more importantly, without headaches and with a very satisfied family who will surely contact Butel Construction for our future construction & remodeling needs. Thank you Shai!

Echoing my wife here. Butel is never going to be the lowest bidder for anything, but the value is unquestionable. Once the contracts are signed, the work goes along as planned and on budget. Every one of Shai's team are professional and experts in their area. The final results are stunning. So.on time, on budget, to code and beautiful work. Can't ask for anything more.

Five stars! Easily! Could be even more (if yelp would let me). Two bathrooms done, new tiles, new fixtures; in the master bathroom that meant going down to the studs and rebuilding the whole shower. Every single person from Butel Constr. was a delight to work with the whole time. The finished renovation is so beautiful and striking that everybody says "I want that!" Do I need to say that they kept to the time frame and the budget? Yes, because that's so important too! All in all, I can't praise Shai and his team high enough and would recommend them to anybody who is looking for excellent work at a competitive price.

We have worked with a number of construction groups over the years to renovate or build our homes; but when we were looking to find a superior company in our new city to help us restore the exterior of our 100+ year old Craftsman, finding Butel was like striking gold!

When we were searching for a contractor on Angie's List, we came across Butel after seeing their high ratings and glowing reviews. After meeting with 5-6 different contractors and getting estimates, we felt the most comfortable with Tom/Shai at Butel Construction. Although, Butel did not provide the cheapest estimate for our project, they were however, the most honest and helpful.

Shai and his team are delightful to work with. They are honest and did a great job remodeling. You will not be disappointed.

Shai and his team were a pleasure to work with and I recommend them highly. I have a small 1Bdr, 1Ba + Loft Condo. I stayed in my condo during the renovation which I wouldn't recommend for the weak of heart! Butel Construction lessened my living impact by accommodating me with a temporary utility sink and they were very quick to complete critical phases in the bathroom. Shai and his team kept me updated on everything they were doing and also on what I needed to provide or decide.

They were always available to contact with any questions or issues that came up and responded quickly, plus they resolved every issue without any fuss. I absolutely love the quality of the finished work that they did and am thrilled with my beautiful new kitchen and bath!

Entire project could not be performed any better. Initial appointment to discuss the scope of the work and estimate was scheduled for the next business day. Tom came on time and he was extremely knowledgeable and easy to work with. He gave me super competitive estimate and we scheduled the remodeling.

Butel finished a bathroom for us, and the work was absolutely perfect. It really was no muss, no fuss. We told them exactly what we wanted, gave them our budget, and they got moving right away. The work was meticulous. Would definitely recommend them.

I went on Angie's list in an attempt to find a good local contractor that could work on overhauling the entire interior of our home. We were expecting at the time, so needed the work to be completed quickly and efficiently too. As per the reviews on Angie's list I picked the top three scoring construction companies in my area - one of which was Butel Construction.

SPECTACULAR RESULTS! We are very demanding and detail oriented homeowners with high expectations for our remodel project. From start to finish, BUTEL CONSTRUCTION has exceeded those expectations. I interviewed 6 different contractors for our job. The thoroughness with which Tom prepared the bid was impressive.

We'd originally called Butel Construction in late summer / early fall as part of a series of quotes that I was getting for the bonus room / bathroom expansion project. I didn't end up pursuing the project then, but with multiple sets of inlaws heading our way for the holidays, we decided that we needed the extra space / shower in a hurry. Butel's quote came in a little lower than the other one that I'd received and both had good reviews, so we went with Butel.

Despite the several-month's hiatus on our end, Butel said they would honor the original quote and that they could get started immediately (early-to-mid December). Shai and Tom showed up to take the initial look and draw up the plans for their workers. They were very punctual, professional, and also easygoing. True to their word, the demo took place almost immediately and the framing started soon thereafter.

Whenever there was a question (e.g., how high did I want the shower opening to be?), Shai would call or text me to get a quick answer and keep the momentum going. Small changes were accommodated on the fly and the pace was very fast through the whole project. Throughout all the steps (demo, framing, plumbing hot mopping, tiling, painting), the bonus room floors were protected with ram board, walls were appropriately masked / protected, and all trash was hauled away each day so there was never any mess.

The tile guy Angel deserves a special shout-out for working weekends and really taking pride in his precision tile-laying. The tiles were all flush and the grout lines between both the wall tiles and the floor tiles were super fine and even. Incredibly, things got finished in the nick of time (the same day that the inlaws arrived), despite the tight timeline we gave them and even though there were a few hiccups (e.g., the tile distributor ran out of the showerpan tile we ordered).

The inlaws loved staying in the bonus room and marveled at the shower and bathroom. All in all, good peoples and excellent work. I don't know how often we'll be needing any major work like this done around the house, but if we ever do again, we would trust Butel Construction to do it quickly and to do it right.

Butel is a truly, rarely honest and honorable company. Shai did a fine kitchen remodel @ my Redondo Beach townhouse a bit less than 10 years ago. But that's not what I'm writing about. The special story is that, a few months ago, many years after the remodel was done, my tenants discovered expensive problems apparently stemming from the work.

I confirmed that the problems seemed to be related to the work. I asked Shai to take a look at the problems. He did and immediately took all responsibility, made all repairs for free, covered my bill from a third-party contractor who had first diagnosed the problems, and reimbursed me for the break on rent that I gave my tenants for having to deal with the problems. In this day and age.wow!
