We are a large retail nursery with several divisions covering everything from Des Moines Iowa landscaping to Des Moines Iowa lawn care. Bob Lenc Landscaping, Inc. was started in 1969 by Bob Lenc Jr.

In 1985 the current owners, Bill and Karen Bishop, took over the business. Under the Bishops' direction the nursery and garden center have grown and flourished into 7 different related landscape departments with 25 full time employees and over 100 seasonal employees. We consider ourselves one of the premiere Des Moines Iowa landscaping firms.

One year they removed the snow from two thirds of the driveway, they left and never came back. Another year when the snow melted for the season, I found a large strip of rolled up sod out in the street and realized that they had stripped this off with their snow plowing. They said that they would come back in the spring and fix it but they never did.

These guys are awful. They came out for an estimate of our front lawn ~2 weeks ago. They said they would email an estimate the following Monday/Tuesday. We heard nothing from them. My husband tried calling on that Friday and apparently the phone was no longer in service/disconnected. I tried calling Saturday and Sunday (just to see what would happen) and the phone just rang and rang then hung up.

He tried calling again today and same thing. Ridiculous. They ignore their customers. I understand this is the busy season, but that's absolutely NO excuse. We are going with a different company.

Disappointed by the follow through of the design team. Had a consultation at our home and was excited to see their ideas put onto paper, however, waited a month and still didn't have any landscape design.

They have double billed, mowed when not needed, and damaged my property (fence) and will not take responsibility. I have had many properties (both rental and residence), used many different lawn care services and by far this is the worst I have ever seen.
