Bill The Plumber

I required an emergency plumbing repair, I had called 8 plumbers before I could get a timely response from anyone. "Bill the Plumer" answered my call (many "24/7 emergency" plumbers did not even answer the phone). They got me a tech out to my house within an hour. The tech who responded, Matt, was very pleasant and professional. He had a little trouble finding the leak, but when he did, he took immediate action.

He also talked me through the repair. He explained a service contract, which I took advantage of. He completed the inspections on the service contract and walked me through a few potential future issues. Just having that knowledge made the service contract worth it. I will definitely upgrade the service contract as well as have Matt with "Bill the Plumber" assist me in tackling those potential issues in the near future.

Critical:Professionalism, Responsiveness Asked to interview, told him I had some handyman experience, that I did things that I didn't need a license for in regards to plumbing, that I only touched what I knew to repair from previous plumbing experience. He blew up at me, insulting me and swearing at me before he hung up. Not professional at all.

We have used services of Bill the Plumber for years (spanning ownership of 3 different homes). We recommend them highly. Everything they have done for us - ever since 2012 with a variety of small plumbing tasks getting a house ready to put up for sale - to installing new toilets today (May 2022) has been quality workmanship with competent and professional skilled plumbers.

When calling the office we have found service to be competent and helpful - they always know about the jobs, the schedule, have quotes ready if we have asked for pricing on planned projects. It's nice to have a plumbing service that is dependable. Peace of mind comes with their annual inspection of our home's plumbing. Thank you Bill the Plumber!

This company came as a subcontractor for a restoration company. They are way overpriced. Charged me over 600.00 to install a garbage disposal and faucet. I provided the materials. In three days sink will not drain and disposal burbs back. Other work they did was, in my opinion, costs lot more than what I could get done for less from a well known competitor. I checked around. I won't let them in my house again as I believe they overcharge for everything. Can not trust them.

0800 hrs, Saturday, 10 July 2021, took dog out for her business, heard running water near water meter box and opened door and could tell something was broken. Checked Sarasota County web page for help. nada. Googled Sarasota Plumbers, saw one I used in the past and would never use again, the next one didn't mention the type of service I needed, then saw Bill The Plumber, Inc. and he was my choice. Called the emergency number, went through the prompts and the on-call tech was Bob. Bob said he would arrive in 30 minutes and he did. Bob assessed the water line and meter and fortunately found a cracked elbow caused by a tree root.

After explaining the fees, shutting off the main, then digging out the box and removing the remaining water, cutting the root and replacing the joint, etc.allowing the glue to set, all was good. Bob is friendly, personable, professional and made a lasting impression on me. As a result of this encounter, the relatively quick repair and Bob's skills, Bill The Plumber, Inc. is my go to plumbing service. The final cost was less than I anticipated. Thank you Bob for everything and introducing me to the Valued Customer Protection Plan.

I have used Bill The Plumber many times at 2 different homes. I have been very satisfied with their prices and their great service every time. This company wanted to charge me 900.00 dollars just to swap out a kitchen, faucet. They are rapping people. There was nothing wrong with my plumbing. I could have purchased counter tops or window fixtures in my condominium for that kind of money. Russell the tech said that was the going rate. My advice to would be Pay the assessment fee and kick them to the curb and find a good handyman.

05/19/2020 Had Bobby come out due to a drainage problem in the shower, I don't know about the "Great Reviews" but Bobby couldn't find the sewer connection, didn't do a camera view of the shower drain and when he couldn't decide what to do next he decided that the only way to fix the drain problem was to remove the toilet & snake out the drain to the sewer once the toilet was removed.

Time needed 3 hours plus. Turned his "upsell" down. Had Babes Plumbing from Venice come out the next day. Determined the problem in about 15 minutes-snaked out the drain through the shower and was finished in less than 1.5 hours at a much lower price. I sent this review to their website and have not seen it posted. Can you believe all those 5 star reviews? Dennis M Sarasota

Jeremy was our plumber. He was extremely polite and professional and I would defiantly call for any plumbing needs again.

Absolutely awful! Called for emergency service for clogged toilets. The guy who answered the phone talked like he was high and was rude. The same guy showed up, barely spoke to us, walked the perimeter of the house twice and then said he needed to unearth the septic tank for $1,073.33 without even looking at anything or trying to snake it. Had to pay him $90 for doing nothing but being rude. UPDATE: The manager called my husband today and apologized the entire situation and refunded us. He handled it professionally and we appreciate that.

WARNING WARNING.OVER CHARGES AND RIP OFF. I WAS CHARGED 679.90 for a simple drain snake. Normally 80.00 to 125.00 job.

I want to thank George for coming out and fixing my shower after two days of taking a cold freezing shower. They were on time, neat with red covers over their shoes before walking into my house. They got my shower going fast and the water is now hotter than it has ever been since buying the house. I recommend Bill The Plumber to anyone as they were also reasonable priced. I called them to unclog my kitchen sink. They wanted $700. I refused their service, but still had to pay them a $60 trip charge. Buyer beware.

I live in a residential neighbor. Older small homes. 16000 -18000 sq. ft. I have asked Bill to please have his employee to park his large Red Box Van. in a less conspicuous area. When the Van is parked. The only vision is Bill the Plumber Large Red Box Van from the kitchen window. I have sent messages to Bill. The messages have fallen on deft ears. As anyone would no like to see a bill board size advertasment in your face. I ask again if Bill Could you please ask your employee to move his van in his back yard.

I am a new floridian homeowner. We needed to have our backflow preventer tested. I had no idea what in the world this was. This company came out within the hour and tested and filled out all the paperwork for the county. Thanks

Bill The Plumber has a stellar reputation in the Sarasota area. We are calling on Bill's company to replace corroded valves under a sink and install a new dishwasher.

Professional, friendly, informative. The staff at Bill the Plumber have always inspired confidence that they are doing a good job and finding the problems that need attention.

Would give 0 stars if possible. I own a roofing company and a roof tile fell and broke a plastic elbow pipe. So I had to turn off the homeowners water until I could fix it, the problem was we were in nokomis Florida and it was 10:00 at night. If I could have went to Home Depot it would have been literally a five dollar fix. I offered to put the homeowner in a hotel until morning but he insisted I call a plumber.

So I contacted bill the plumber he said yes it's a $90 service fee then see how much parts will be, I said great come out. He arrived at midnight looks at the problem and says yeah I can fix it easy let me work up a bill. When he came back from the truck he hands me a bill for $790.00 I thought he was kidding! I said why so much he said cause it was midnight.

I said I won't pay that much can you come down a little he said I could go online and print out a $25 coupon but he needs the coupon to give the discount! I pulled out $500 and said can you fix it he replied No Way! So I gave him $90 for his service fee and told him to leave. If only I wasn't worried about causing a scene I probably would have punched him for being such a complete jerk.

We had JJ out to our home over the weekend and we could not be happier. We have never ever been disappointed in the caliber of technicians they sent out to diagnose and resolve our problems. Eric has been out. numerous times and he delivers amazing customer care! And we just love Eva who handles all our calls and reassures us that our problem is important to them and they will get it fixed quickly. I very much appreciate the time and effort Byron spent on our annual maintenance inspection. Very courteous and knowledgeable. He gets my highest rating.

Byron called me after he checked the two pumps for my well and all running water parts inside. He explained the problem of ants in one pressure switch and recommended a viable solution. We've used them for a while now. Different small things that I couldn't do myself. Recently we had them out. There was a cartridge in a single handle control for the shower that went kaput. I was really happy that they were able to get to it.
