The last phase of building a swimming pool or spa in Arizona before the water goes in is the interior finish. Plaster is not the only choice for pools and spas. A variety of options are available like PebbleTec, Pebble Sheen, BeadCrete, Pebble Fina and 3M Quartz just to name a few. Specialized cleat boots for finishing pools.

Water Features

If the pool includes water features such as stone, scuppers, masonry, or boulder waterfalls, then they are built after the shotcrete. If the swimming pool has multiple water features or extensive masonry, this phase could take several days or even weeks to complete.

Electrical

Although the electrical portion of the pool building process is not to exciting, this is how you interact with your pool and spa. At a basic level, the pool will simply have a variable speed pump and a switch for the light. Several options with the electrical phase may include LED color changing lights and pool automation.

Plumbing

Plumbing, in its simplest form, is what keeps the pool operational. It also is how any water features are running as well as the water level in the pool. All of the plumbing is pressurized when completed to ensure there are no leaks. The plumbing system stays pressurized though the shotcrete phase.
