Autumn 1977, Mark and Patricia O'Neil founded Woody's Fences. Their only assets were Mark's tape measure, saw and hammer. Recognized for their extraordinary quality and workmanship, they soon set a new standard for fence construction in Marin County. Since the day that he was able to swing a hammer Mark had worked in the family fence business.In fact it was one of his dads clients that first called Mark 'Woody'. Building on the years of experience, he moved from the East Coast to Marin with his wife Pat together they began Woody's Fences. To supplement the cost of their educations Woody constructed fences on weekends.
