Darville Company The Darville Company began back in 1947 as Odessa Sheet Metal & Roofing on South Grant then moved to 503 E. 1st Street in 1950. The business then grew to a larger facility in 1986, at 213 N. Hancock. Wayne Darville started work at age 13 where he swept the floors of the company business and started learning the trade.

Before he even left for college at A&M University (in the 1950s), he had already learned the trade. "I knew I would have a job if times ever got tough, " said Wayne Darville - the second company president. In the 1950s, the business name changed again to Odessa Sheet Metal & Refrigeration after it's newly added air conditioning service.
