Megan Varley, along with her husband Nick Ciconte, have owned their 60+ year old house for over 30 years. In that time, they have taken on many home repair and improvement projects, sometimes more than once. Having had her own floors professionally sanded 20 years ago, Megan is aware of the mess, time and expense to have floors refinished.

When their son moved away to go to college, Megan and Nick renovated 2 upstairs bedrooms, one bedroom at a time. This included a last minute decision to refinish the old floors. Knowing the 'sanding' companies would want to refinish the second floor all at once, Megan took on the task of sanding them herself.
