Emmis lived in Illinois until 1996 when he and his family moved to the foothills of Colorado, where he attended high school and community college. Realizing his potential in the construction/carpentry business, he chose to dedicate himself to the industry full-time and purchased a Delta Disaster Services franchise for himself.
