Our history has a humble beginning, starting in 1954 when the company's founder, Ray Williams, started out by peddling hardwood from his truck. With little money and no warehouse, his truck was loaded at the mill and then hand unloaded at individual job sites. Ray literally went from one new housing allotment to another until empty, then back to the mill to reload.

His philosophy- a quality product at a fair price and with uncompromising service has set the stage for nearly 60 years and counting. Our people know hardwood. The average Williams' employee has more than 12 years industry experience - that is a total of over 320 years of staff expertise in hardwood.

By simply applying a fresh coat of finish to your floors, you may avoid the more time-consuming process of having to sand down to the bare wood and refinish. Depending on the amount of traffic and the quality of care, floors should be recoated approximately every five years.
