Favorite projects always demand unique solutions. For the past couple years, we've designed remodeling solutions for older homes, including homes from 1911, to the '20s, and 30's, along with ranch homes from the '50s and '60s. I'm increasingly fascinated by the shift in building technology over time, and how to design for each home type.

Projects become a three way dynamic - there's a relationship between us, the client and the house. Solutions have to suit the existing house as well as the client's goals. Design sensibilities of scale and detailing carry over to our new home projects. We've developed a deeper perspective; creating a home for the future is not necessarily about designing for the current trend.

Our projects reflect each client's style and personality because they've had an integral part in exploring design ideas. We feel clients get the best end result when there are opportunities to compare and contrast design ideas, with plenty of time to review during meetings. We are good listeners and also understand how to present information to foster collaboration.
