Retaining walls provide both a functional and aesthetic purpose. If you are looking to add more space to your yard that is limited by a sloped area, retaining walls can extend usable space by either filling and raising the grade behind the wall or by cutting and lowering the grade in front of the wall. The retaining wall itself adds beauty and depth by creating vertical interest that draws the eye. We can also help you take advantage of the additional space created by a retaining wall by designing a custom outdoor living area.

Caleb and his dad are awesome. They recently completed several projects at our home in Clemmons. This included lengthening our sidewalk, enlarging our patio, making a pad for our garbage and recycling cans, planting new trees and shrubs, and resolving a water drainage issue on the north side of our property. All work was completed in a very professional manner and the results are awesome!

Tilson has landscaped and hardscaped our back yard including creating new raised beds, adding plants and required drip irrigation, building two stone walls, laying gravel pathways and finally, coming up with an effective solution to a water drainage problem and taking care of it with a French drain. In our experience, they have applied themselves to each project, committed to excellent workmanship and thinking through every aspect, in several cases suggesting and implementing thoughtful improvements not in the original plan.
We really appreciate their excellent workmanship even more so as the plants grow and walls stand firm despite torrential rains, snow and the blazing summer sun. Every time we look at our garden, we realize how fortunate we are that we chose the Tilsons to handle the projects.
