Stinging Insects
Report
Hornets, yellow jackets, carpenter bees, bumble bees, honey bees, ground bees, paper wasps, sand wasps, cicada killers, and other related species can easily become established in or on buildings, decks, sheds, garages, walls and fencing.
Cockroaches
Report
Cockroaches are not simply a nuisance pest. While they are best known for eating your food and invading your home, millions of people are actually allergic to cockroaches - an allergy so strong, that you may not even need to be in contact with them to trigger an allergic reaction. Cockroaches can even be deadly to those with asthma, and may spread bacteria like salmonella.
Bed Bugs
Report
Bed bugs are oval, chestnut-brown insects and are flattened from top to bottom. Adult bed bugs measure about ΒΌ inch in length. Bed bugs grow by molting several times. Baby bed bugs, nymphs, look very much like the adults, except they are smaller. There are five molts, and each bed bug phase must have a blood meal to be able to molt to the next stage.
Termite
Report
Each year, these voracious insects cause over $7 billion worth of structural damage throughout the United States. Through a crack as little as 1/64th of an inch, termites can invade your home, establish a thriving nest, and do extensive damage sight unseen, resulting in thousands of dollars to repair.
Ants
Report
Ants are a common invader of homes in eastern Pennsylvania. Some ants invade pantries and will swarm any food that has been found. Others, like carpenter ants, live in trees and wood in and around a structure. Damage to wood in a home from carpenter ants, could be an expensive repair!
